Good quality – We have had our dishwasher now for 8 years and never had a problem with it until now. The element needs replacing. The only other times we have had issues is when we have not topped up the rinse aid and things came out a bit wet. Agreed the wash cycle is too long but other than that it has served us well.

well it lasted 8 years – my machine has just broken down and after reading these reveiws I wont bother getting it fixed. The dishes were always wet which I though was caused by putting plastic items in the machine. Plus it never cleaned really tough stuff very well. The door catch was broken from day 1 and the service man who came to fix it was a rude pig well I did not have to do the dishes stuff came out wet or still dirty. noisy

Terrible – Was told this was recommended by choice. My previous cheaper dishwasher washed much faster and dryed well too. I need a dishwasher that can be emptied on the same day it is used, so require proper drying. I paid extra for the fan cycle because it was supposed to dry properly. Fold down plate racks in bottom. Lower price. Am replacing this after… Read more

only two years. Has never been satisfactory.

Does not dry plates any faster than air drying.

Rinse aid never seems to dispense.

Cutlery holder appears generic and fits badly, plus is unreasonably huge and cannot be split in half.

Top shelf has slopes on it, making packing more difficult and resulting in many broken glasses.

Cycles take way too long and cannot be varied.

Terrible – Don't waste your time and money on this sub standard dishwasher, can not believe this machine was ever released on the market. Nothing i can think of Am replacing it after 2 years.. Should have replaced the week i purchased. Cant remember a clean load out of this dishwasher.. Cycle times are ridiculously long and once started cannot be changed

Terrible – DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS DISHWASHER. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WESTINGHOUSE PRODUCT. TOTALLY RIPPED OFF! THIS PRODUCT IS A DISGRACE. Looks OK, great if you never need to use it. It does not work. This is the worst dishwasher that you could buy it's just horrible. Switches melt, detergent doesn't wash out, bizarre errors that you can't get rid… Read more

of. Washing cycles you can't stop once started. Did I mention it doesn't wash, never has. Piece of ....... My one will be going out in the council clean up next week after only 18 months. I am going to take to it with an axe, because I can't bear the tought of some poor bugger picking it up and inflicting it on someone else.

Terrible – THIS is the worst appliance i have every known. It simply doesn't clean at all, don't buy one, they have no redeeming features, and it is a waste of space money, everything. Go european or don't bother. Doesn't clean, clogs easily, noisy, badly designed, nothing fits well, tablets get stuck, powder doesn't get cleaned out, quantum tablets don't fit in the compartment.

Terrible – Not a great dishwasher, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy one of these. Very disappointed as Westinhouse is usually quite a good brand. replacement parts aren't easy to come by either so if it breaks, it will cost you a lot to fix it. sometimes I use it when we have a big dinner with lots of guests, otherwise I don't bother the push button… Read more

design front has lost a spring in it, and only lasted several months before breaking.

the tablets (no matter what kind) don't always dissolve, and the door that holds the tablets in doesn't always open therefore it doesn't allow the tablets to integrate in the water and wash the dishes properly.

The stacking room is not great, and there isn't enough room for a lot of plates to be stacked on one side of the bottom slider and still be able to stack others next to them.

Not alot of height clearance if you have large plates either, the spinning washing arm hits alot of the plates on the bottom drawer.

No stoppers on the drawers to stop them from running out of the dishwasher altogether (and yes, this has happened to me on several occasions no matter how carefull I am).

Stainless steel design is not smudge proof either, so constantly cleaning the outside for drips and fingerprints.

It is also quite noisy.

Terrible – Never everr going to buy another Westinghouse. I got out of helping to wash dishes on the rare occasion that it worked. Melted On\Off switch which i replaced for $20 after a qualified repairman charged me $100 and couldn't diagnose a fault. Heating Element rarely works. Never washed very well. Tablets (numerous brands) didn't dissolve… Read more

properly.

Its probably only been used for 2 out of the 3 years we have owned it (because it wouldn't start due to the burnt out switch and because its easier to wash the dishes by hand than wash and rewash in the crappy dishwasher.)

Trays rusted.

Excellent – The quality is good, we've had ours for almost two years and it's still working prefectly. Dishwasher is very easy to keep clean, filters and shelves are easy to take out. The child lock could be a bit better and the wash cycles could be a bit shorter (even on economic, they still run for quite a long time). Overall, excellent quality. Great… Read more

external design, reasonably effective child lock and good quality. Top shelf could be a little lower, there's a fair bit of wasted space between the two shelves (and it's impossible to put larger items on the top shelf)

Terrible – Steer clear or buy extended warrantee or else you will be buying problems. Good luck searching for the right dishwasher. looks good and worked well for the first 24 month being used once a week. The electrical system overheats, we have had the on-off switch melt and it was just out of warrantee a so it cost newrly (au)$200 to fix. And guess what it still is not right an Westinghouse are giving us the runaround.

Terrible – The machine goes through a dry cycle at the end of the wash however unless you open the door straight after to let all the steam out into the kicthen and let everything drip dry for a couple of hours with the dishwasher door open, you have to dry everything by hand. Also if you put a dishwasher tablet into the dispenser, most times the door… Read more

wont open during the wash and it will go through the whole cycle without any detergent. To overcome it, I just throw the dishwashing detergent tablet into the cutlery holder and this seems to work nicely.

If there is a fan to extract the steam, ours has never worked since we bought it. We bought this machine in the advice of 'Choice'. If this truly was one of the best at the time, the others must have been dogs. Seems to be able to hold much more than my father-in-laws fisher and paykel drawer dishwasher. Does not dry the dishes. Plastic clips which hold the top wire drawer in place break easily. I seem to have to replace them regularly. If one of these clips break, the top drawer sags and the machine does not operate properly

Good – For about $700 including delivery this has proved to be a good machine - I've had it now a couple of weeks - time will tell re durability. Washes without problems, dishes and cutlery all clean and spotless, good price at Bing Lee. 6 locations for stemmed wine glasses. Power on off switch, clear indication that load is finished, child lock.… Read more

Difficult to stack upper shelf, with sharp angles causing taller items to fall over unless stacked on edge of shelf. Very large cutlery container takes up a lot of space in lower shelf, reducing space for dinner plates. Means of connecting water to upper wash arm (via connection at back of top shelf that unplugs with pulling out of shelf)causes items in top shelf to tend to fall due to the force needed to pull fee the connection.

Excellent – Compared to the competition, this machine is great value. I'm not aware of another machine under $1500 that has a stainless finish (and a stylish one at that), fan drying with condensation collector and full electronic cycle control. - Excellent finish and overall appearance - Washes very well and dries perfectly - Remaining time in cycle… Read more
