Well supported by manufacturer – Having it for nearly 2 years it has been reliable and keeps everything cold or frozen. We discovered the ice cutters had surface rust. On calling westinghouse about it. They apologised and took control of the problem. A week later the service guy turned up with a replacement unit. No fuss warranty is great especially with other non Australian… Read more

GREAT FRIDGE/freezer/icemaker. Still going strong after 9 years – 9 years old,Still going strong, never had it serviced or fixed both fridge and freezer work perfectly. Yes the ice has a little rust it's annoying but still works perfectly well. We use the ice maker regularly. very occasionally the ice maker freezes up, just pull cover off and press the reset button and all good to go. Nice big draws at… Read more

the bottom for veg.

Nothing broken all parts and seals still 100%.

Good design for me. Easy to clean and quiet.

Happy with this one reluctant to change, in case i get a lemon. I have a white and now want to change to a stainless steel. Hmm. am I game.

Water dispenser pipe broken – Really love our fridge but the water pipe has also broken up by the dispenser which is leaking water out of the display area, but I can repair it myself with a pipe joiner slid over the existing pipe that will not restrict water flow. The pipe is extremely brittle so the next thing will be the bottom hinge area as everyone is complaining about in… Read more ·  1

this forum. This is a bad design fault and I ask what Westinghouse is going to do about it ?? Our unit was purchased in August 2009 so it is now five years and six months old. We also purchased extended warranty as well. I certainly would hope with such a bad design fault Westinghouse would try and help their loyal customers. I have just had to reword this review as I just got it back in an email even though I feel I have been very fair in my comments, but again I reiterate "What are you going to do about this poor design Westinghouse"???

We find that the fridge is not that efficient and the running costs are certainly not as good as other fridges we own but the luxury of having cold water and ice available on demand is something we have grown to appreciate.

Never buy a Westinghouse! – Was so excited to pay for a fridge with an icemaker, paid over $3,000 and in 4 years its had 3 icebins replaced, seems the icebin only lasts 2 years! How could Westinghouse get it so wrong, why would they make a part that is placed in ice rust and when it rusts it won't work. Pathetic! I should have done my homework first and reviewed others,… Read more

looking at this site, I would never have purchased a Westinghouse. What happens when its out of Warranty? When the warranty is up its going in the garage and will purchase another brand with better reviews. DON'T PURCHASE A WESTINGHOUSE.

Icebin rusts after two years. Costs over $200.00 for a new one if not in warrany. Part in icebin rusts. Don't buy.
