Please tell me why my oven fills with smoke when cooking a roast. Has it got anything to do with the flu holes at the top of the oven at rear, one sealed off with plastic cover, the other open which is flued to ceiling, do both have to be flued to ceiling. WVE626. Wayne
Our Westinghouse oven WVE 626 W vents into the kitchen with hot air and the cooking smell. Is there a way to vent it otherwise. We previously had a St George which vented out through the roof with no venting issues into the kitchen
Best thing to do is phone Westinghouse direct.
Does this oven display the temp? How do you know it has reached the correct temperature?
Hello Rosie, I have my own internal thermometers and also use one of those infrared thermometers to try and ensure consistency...also at 260 is took nearly an hour to cook a pizza which normally took between 9-12 minutes.

Hi can i get a wiring diagram for the top oven switch
Ive turned on the maxi grill and grill at seperate times and both dont seem to be working...am i doing something wrong? I haven't turned the other knob on that has the temperature but on my old oven I didnt have to do this so i assumed its the same - thought the grill just came on at its own temperature...please help as i like toasting my bread and melting cheese on the grill...

Any one who had brought this product to replace an older 1980s oven. Was the size fairly accurate or did you need to make modifications to you current oven cavity to fit this oven?

New oven installed will not cool down when knobs turned off. Still draws 1.5 amps in off position. Have to turn it off at the main switch board. Why?

The grill trays for the bottom grill do not fit. They are way to tight and wont slide properly at all. Seems like there the wrong trays.
my grill is fine so I would contact the manufacturer.
Make sure you have the steel sides in the correct place first, as they slide easily xxx
One of our grill trays is tight too. The other works ok. I assume it’s a fault with the tray, as we have checked the stainless sides & panels. .
