Best dishwasher money can buy – I purchased this dishwasher in NOV 2011 it just died today DEC 2020. I hope it’s a simple fix or they still make them. Did 9years hard work, always overloaded and never gave me grief. Even ran in outside on a garden hose while renovating my kitchen for afew months. RIP you had a hard life my friend but you were good to me. Show details

Only a 2 year lifespan – I bought mine two years ago from masters, before they went broke. Got the extended warranty, glad I did now as it worked well, but is now twel6months out of warranty, luckily into a two year extended warranty that is still being honoured and the latch has broken of, so the door won't lock. It will be repaired, but as it is now a discontinued model… Read more

and two years old, if you're looking at buying one second hand, look elsewhere, there are plenty of other issues I have to look forward to with this one going by other people's reviews.

Cheap and cheerful, does the job, albeit not as well as more expensive units on the market, but Australian made which unfortunately these days means poor quality.

Awful from day 1 – Our dishes are always soaking wet and half of them are still dirty. Cheap and CRAPPY! Stay away from this washer. The Draws come off the sliders. There is zero glide. The cutlery container is flimsy. My husband decided to go cheap and I regret every day letting him choose this dishwasher.  Show details

At least it was cheap – Doesn't dry very well but the biggest issue is that the door doesn't open totally flat which means the bottom try always slides back in. I have to pop it off the runners to stack it. Aside from that, it's reasonably quiet and I really can't complain for the price.  Show details

It's OK – On the basis that all modern hardware has inbuilt self destruction that kicks in just after the warranty expires, I try to buy as cheaply as possibly. The ADP5000 is no exception, although Choice rated it reasonably well. It went in 18 months ago, has not missed a beat. The long cycles are too long, but we are a small household and the short cycle… Read more

nearly always does the trick. It's quiet, dishes don't dry too well if you forget to open the door at the end of a wash. But no regrets; when it drops dead we'll just buy another cheap dishwasher.

Summing up, cheap, works, AU made. On the downside, everyday we think today the dishwasher dies.

Quiet, easy to use, however only 4 cycles and 3 of them are very long – Cost $589 including a full 5 year warranty. (hopefully if something goes wrong it lives up to the claims) Puchased at masters, taree. The machine running is quiet, holds only 12 place settings and top drawer is small compared to other machines on show. However i like the fact that the top drawer is very adjustable, the graduated rinse aid… Read more

release is good and the bottom drawer seems to come out seamlessly.

Wash cycles are very long, one hundred and thirty minutes long!!!

I can image that this could be terribly inconvienent for many households.

Otherwise so far, not bad.

Update ..... Well after running the machine for a fortnight I wouldn't recommend this model to anyone. My 16 year old F & P did a better job of the washing. Even on the longest settings the cutlery comes out dirty! Washing up pots and pans is more economical than wasteing resources and tablets by attempting to use D/W Very disappointed, going to complain the Masters and return for another machine. Got my sights on a Bosch even if it is more $$$'s

Fantastic working product – I purchased mine over two years ago and I have never had a single problem. I have gas hot water so use the hot input instead to save on energy costs. Always cleans well, no matter the brand. Fit everything in well and can lower (and raise) the top shelf to fit wine glasses in. Overall a great machine at a fantastic price. Works well without ever an issue. Reliable, efficient and easy to use.

Waste of money – Bought this dish washer because it's made in Oz. Two and a half months after the warranty expired it made a loud noise and broke down (sounded like the pump). Called Whirlpool, they do not want to know about it. They should start to make them in China, at least they may last longer. looking at buying another appliance shortly, Never again will I… Read more

buy a Whirlpool.. Looks, Salesman said it was the one of the best one. Stopped woking after two and a half months after warranty expired.

Bad decision! – Got this at a discount price from masters $440. The first few weeks it worked fine, washed quite well. The dishes were still not quite dry at the end of the wash though. It was a little louder than our old Linea but not too bad. It has now got a loud rattling noise when the water drain pump is running. After only a month. It is also hard to… Read more

tell when the cycle has finished if you dont hear the few beeps it makes. cheep at discount price. Washes quite well. developed loud noise. Hard to tell when cycle has finished.

Not good enough – Purchased this machine just over 2 years ago for around $550 .It did the job for about 6 months before we started having problems. Top basket rollers came out of the sliders causing drawer to jamb , bottom drawer comes off the track when going in or out . Now at 2 years and 4 months ,it wont run at all. I have had a serviceman out to look at it… Read more

and it is a $300 repair cost -don't bother .Calls to their service department have been a waste of time - it is out of warranty ,they didn't want to help .

No more whirlpool for me !

Good value for money – I am an experienced owner/user of dishwashers. I have been using them for more than 20 years. I bought this one because in Choice's review it scored the highest result for "Cleaning". Which is kinda what you buy a dishwasher for, wouldn't you say? I also bought it because it's less than $500. That's half the price of its competitors. … Read more

Yes, it does get things clean: it cleans dishes (even heavily soiled ones) better than any dishwashers I have used previously (almost all Dishlex). It has higher energy costs than most, and it has longer cycles: they would be why it cleans better.

It does not have a "rinse and hold" setting which I miss. It DOES accept hot water input, which enables you to halve your energy costs if you have gas hot water.

It's a little louder than most (you will hear it across the room when it is on). Its indicator system is not so good: it's difficult to tell whether the lights are "on" or "flashing". If they're flashing, the cycle is still running! You can't tell how long it has to go, and the beeps which indicate the end are fairly feeble. Get over it: it only cost $500, start it before bed, it will be done in the morning :-)

It does have a serious design issue: When you pull the bottom basket out, its wheels drop into the gap between the frame and the door, then stop the tray with a crash. Watch for that: I have broken one expensive glass doing that. Learn to support the front of the basket as you pull it out. Or pay twice as much for a competitor!

It's a little longer (deeper) that some of its competitors: if you are replacing a built-in machine, take a tape measure with you. Mine stands proud about 50 mm. But it means there's more room inside. And it only cost $500.

Speaking of "room inside", they say this is a "12 place setting capacity". Yeah, right: those of you who have owned dishwashers before know that this means it will wash 12 place settings if you put ONLY the dishes and cutlery in. I'm a single man: this dishwasher holds enough for me to cook and eat a two-course meal with veges: all the pots, pans and dishes go in and get cleaned. But if I have one guest, that usually means two loads. However, it DOES have variable height adjustment for the top basket: at LAST I have found a dishwasher that will wash my big plates properly. And it only cost $500.

This machine works well, regardless of what detergent you put in it. I usually use the cheap no-name stuff: it's only caustic soda, the active ingredient in body lotion, soap, and dishwashing powder/tablets. Some has nicer perfume. And costs three or four times the price. It washes the same. This machine also has a dispenser for rinse-aide, and the detergent holder will accept powder. You don't need rinse-aide if you are using the two-part tablets.

So: Is it a good machine? Yes. Am I glad I bought it? Yes. Does it work well? Yes. Would I buy another one? Depends how much money I had. If I could afford to pay twice the price, I probably would.

Hope this helps Price, Cleaning Power Can break glasses, a little noisier than some, a little slower than some

All round bad design and model – I've had mine 3 years. The water heater has just gone for the 4th time plus I've had other repairs made eg the drainage pump replaced, outlet fittings replaced. Doesn't clean glass very well and heavier soiled crockery doesn't get clean. The normal cycle takes 2hrs 40 minutes. It's noisy. So disappointing. I bought it originally because Whirlpool always had a good reputation. Price

A top quality dishwasher – It is silent and the instructions explain everything even for the programs and cleaning. I seriously am proud about purchasing this product. The design is well thought through. The price was amazing for a cheap dishwasher. Warranty is easy to do unlike other appliances. It is an outstanding appliance for any kitchen. Silent , design is neat and practical, washing is great . Nothing as of yet

Good little dishwasher! – So far, so good: Replaced top of the line $1000 Electrolux dishwasher which didn't even last 4 years. Decided was better to go for a cheap reputable brand and buy the extended warranty for an extra $89 to know I will get at least 5 years out of it. Inexpensive, looks great, metallic finish looks good and is much easier to keep clean than stainless… Read more ·  1

steel (but looks pretty much the same) Simple, easy programs (really, who needs more than 4 programs?) Nothing so far. Would be nice to have a timer to see how long the wash has to go.

Reliable, Good Quality Clean :) – It is with great satisfation that I find myself writing a positive review for once, having made serveral negative ones for various home appliances recently. This machine has been working perfectly in our home for the last 12 months. Simple and easy to use. We lightly rinse the dishes before placing in and use the 'eco' cycle (about 30 mins) and… Read more
