Inaccurate and little customer service – My scale was ok for about a week. Then it started fluctuating wildly. I could gain or lose 10kg within a day. Or 2 -3kg within minutes. When I was not even on the scale it sat at 3.6kg. I reset. I recalibrated and I contacted online help which only directed me to FAQ pages. This scale is awful. I am going to return mine. Show details

Measurements fluctuate – Measurements of fat, muscle and water weight are different just stepping off and back on the scales. Doesn’t seem worth it. Update: Two years on and the scale no longer works buy something else. Show details

Piece of junk – Purchased this unit from Jb Hi-fi. It was heavily discounted and I know why. I took it home, unpacked it and after two hours of trying every scenario and support article troubleshooting steps. I was convinced that this item was a dud. There were so many complaints from other buyers on the Withings forum. I took it back, told the store manager and… Read more

he agreed that the unit wasn't great. So i then bought an Eufy Smart Scale P2. It took 60 seconds to setup.

Get a better scale for a cheaper price! – After a year of purchasing this scale for $179 the screen went and they said it was a hardware problem. We contacted them and even though on their website it has 2 year warranty because apparently they recently changed their warranties from 1 year to 2 years we were only entitled to 1 year warranty which we were out of. For something this… Read more

expensive it should last more than 1 year when it is just sitting in our cupboard and we use once a week! They offered us a 25% discount from their website and cos they couldn't ship it to Australia could you get a friend get it shipped to another country and they can bring it back to you???!!! Um, no we don't just have people we know in different countries and what an inconvenience. Secondly, with the short warranty why would we buy another scale for it to probably break in a year? So stupid. The worst company I have to deal with seriously. I will buy a better scale at 1/5 of the price with warranty that is valid in my country thank you. Will NEVER buy this brand again.

Looks great pity it isn't! – Bought this from the Good Guys, although Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi also sell them as well as other electrical retailers. So, my experience was not a good one. It took three days to get the thing to connect to my phone, and the app still refuses to pair with the scales, although strangely I now have access to all of its features. I don't know how… Read more

this is possible as the scales won't get past 1 of 4 stages it requires to become connected. Very strange.

Support is based in the UK, and their turnaround for answering questions is up to 48 hours. So if you have a problem with the app or the scales, or its inability to connect or pair, then you're essentially on your own.

I received two support emails, but diagnosing my particular problem required a lot more than two emails.

I have paired many devices over the years, speakers, headphones, car sound units the list goes on, so I know how to do these things, or at least I thought I did.

In the end, hours of pure persistence has paid off, and I have the thing working....I think.

So my advice is....... give these scales a miss. Seriously. They look good, but that's where it ends.

I will never again buy a WITHINGS product.

What the heck is going on with companies these days? – These things aren't cheap so you'd expect it to last longer than two years. Nope. After contacting the company and essentially giving them the benefit of the doubt and saying "C'mon, you can do better," their reply is "Go buy another one." It's just baffling. We felt cheated already and their solution was essentially us pay them a… Read more

total of $600+ over two years for... weighing scales.

As technology gets cheaper and more accessible, your customer service is your front line for differentiating your company. Why do so many companies fail to understand this? Products fail, sure, and that's the nature of tech -- people get that. If you provide the right support, they'll happily be on their way and recommend your company to others.

I won't be one of them. Nokia bought out Withings, so they can both jump. Used to love Nokia, but my god their standards have absolutely bombed.

I hope this current trend of companies turning their back on their customer-base ends soon.

WiFi connected record keeping scale rebranded under Nokia – So this scale has been rebranded under Nokia. I bought this scale after paying for a review of body composition scales from another website. It was listed as the top scoring scale under the former Withings brand. It was measured as having a 70% body fat percentage accuracy compared to a dexa scan. (No scales reviewed were above 70%). It was… Read more

measured as having 100% accuracy in reflecting total weight in 100g increments.

What is very handy, is the record keeping it'll do for multiple users. It'll measure total body weight, fat, muscle, bone and water composition. This scale even tells you the morning and afternoon weather! You can access the recorded data through an app or via their website. It'll graph your data for you and once a week it'll email you your average weight for the week.

I have found though, this scale has required resetting about four times since purchasing it in early 2018 as it has lost it's connection with my router modem.

I ordered a white scale but Harvey Norman sold me a black scale. I should have returned it as black shiny scales show marks.

It's still very cool though.

Works well, now with Nokia – The scales look good, except the shiny surface shows up dust and smudges. They are quick, track your weight, show your BMI, and show a graph of your weight. Now bought by Nokia they have a different app that doesn't seem to work as well as the old Withings app. My biggest complaint is that 4xAAA batteries do under a year and then when you pull… Read more

them out you have to reconnect the scales to WiFi. It's pretty easy using the app to do but they should have had a internal battery with a USB recharge so you don't loose your WiFi settings or bigger AA batteries that last longer.

No wonder it's been discontinued – I purchased these scales one year ago, I now need to replace them. They were great while they worked however now they turn on randomly, fluctuate through weights, and rarely give an accurate reading.

Runs out of batteries after a few days – Scales came with a set of x4 AAA batteries that ran out after the first few days of use (x2 persons stepping on the scales once a day). Replaced the batteries and the same thing happened again. God knows why it even runs on batteries for the $200 price tag - hello, should be able to just plug & charge! Apple now wants us to foot the bill to… Read more

send them back - poor customer service as far as I'm concerned. Functionality & app are good. What's with the batteries and bad battery life?
