Purchased in January 2026 and the tail lights don't work. Tested on a 2026 Hyundai and 2015 Toyota vehicle and same problem, tail lights don't illuminate. I even tried a 12V battery bank and problem persists. I purchased this from 99Bikes and their response was reasonable; no apology but send an email and we will contact Yakima. Very expensive bike rack with a poor wiring design for the lights - the wiring loom is exposed and sits underneath the bike rack so think rocks, sticks etc. hitting the wiring. For the money the wiring loom should be feed through the frame for better protection.

Now I regret not buying the Thule so now I wait to see the response from Yakima and how well they support their products via their warranty.

Purchased in at 99 Bikes VIC for $900.

An excellent investment – I purchased my bike rack so manage my e-bike. I have been loading and unloading the bike rack and bike twice a week for two months and I haven't had a problem with it. I can lift it with one hand, place it on the tow bar easily, and have it set up in under 30 seconds. The only minor issue I have is when I'm loading my heavy e-bikeis the distance between the two wheel mounts - my front wheel drops in and needs a bit of fanangling to get it into place. I have carried three bikes and it worked fine (regular bikes are a little easier to position first go). It's half the price of the big name brand and it's still an investment, but it was well work the money for the ease with which I can get on the road.

Purchased in at 99 Bikes for $799.

Innovative product that wears quickly – Purchased Yakima carrier, easy to fit to towball and folded well. Plastic latches/covers fall off on lock area and indicators, as not secure enough. Lock sometimes sticks on tow ball. Expensive, disappointed with overall build quality. Have had items rectified.
