Great sound – I have had the sound ber for a few months and I really like. The sound is very genuine and much better than the television and other soundbars produced by the television manufacturer. Can highly recommend Yamaha which specialises in sound rather than TV! The ability to select different sound modes, such as voice for the news, sci-fi for movies is really good. The sound really fills the room without being too loud in one spot but not loud enough in another. I have mine connected to Apple TV, PS3, PVR and TV and it works well with all of these devices.

Excellent Lower Cost Surround Sound Option – I've had this unit for about 6 weeks now. Very Happy. We wanted a minimalist look, so no big speakers, woofers and amps. We had essentailly decided on a Bose Lifestyle system which delivered the sound and was unobtrusive, but we had a small problem with te $4K needed to purchase it, then the hassle of wiring in the rear cube speakers. This sytem got great professional reviews and I see why. For about $1200 AUD, it delivers impressive sound for movies and TV, and pleasant performance from the IPOD. The IPOD is simple and quick to use with the included dock.

If want good sound to go with your expensive big flat screen TV, but want to keep your room looking like a room not a studio, then I recommend you find one of these nad have a listen. Great sound quality. Sleek unobtrusive design. Simple to use. Uncluttered remote control! Bass response from the subwoofer for music playback is not as strong as a more dedicated music system, but still pleasant.

No Regrets - Yamaha YSP 2200 Digital Sound Projector – Great bang for your buck, natural sound with well integrated subwoofer, compact inconspicuous form without messy wiring provision required to side and rear surround speakers. Alternative soundbars with better sound are bigger and/or significantly more expensive. Probably less suitable for large open plan areas without reflecting walls available. Not full multi-speaker surround sound, but illusion is convincing. Most listeners are amazed there aren't more speakers hidden somewhere! Multiple speakers not required, Easy one hour set up and support, Impact of immersive, expansive sound stage Not wireless, needs optional accessory wall mounting bracket (If TV is wall mounted).
