Yates Specialty Potting Mix Orchids

Killed my orchids. Is not even suitable for orchids, as it is mostly soil and very little bark. Used some, sealed the bag and less than 3 days later, went to put up more and the bag was full of mold and flying insects. Absolutely waste of money, particularly when you factor in the loss of very expensive orchids as well.
Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse.
Killed my orchids :( – I re-potted my orchids a few months ago and thought I'd 'upgrade' to the more expensive Yates Specialty Potting Mix for Orchids. One of my orchids has dropped all of its leaves and is now just a tiny stump in its pot with zero growth or proof of life! I reached out to Yates and after answering a barrage of questions, sending numerous photos I just get home to another email asking another barrage of questions - almost implying that I have no idea how to look after the orchids I've had for 5 years! I've given up trying so now will just post feedback so no-one else has this experience. Previous potting materials were quite chunky to allow lots of air movement around the roots. Yates product is almost like potting mix - there is no aeration. I should have just thrown it in the bin instead of putting my orchids in it. I learnt the hard way.
Hi Jackie Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the experience that you have had with our product and the investigation into the matter.
Our aim is to investigate and find the answers, then look at ways to resolve them. In many cases, it may not be one thing but many have created the right conditions for the plant to suffer from stress, and this is why we have numerous questions to discover the root cause. Without this information, we are unable to determine the reason for the plant's reaction after repotting.
If you wish for us to investigate this further, we are more than welcome to assist you as we have previously discussed.
Kind regards
Yates
Hi Yates I completed your very long list of questions and sent photos on numerous occasions. All I received was another email with another list of questions (sometimes the same questions as already answered). I persisted for about 4 sets of emails but at what point do you stop asking questions and start telling me why your product killed my orchid?
