Nothing special – Thankfully it is time to replace these tyres after 45,000 km. After 20,000 km they have become VERY noisy, and their performance on wet roads has always been quite poor. Overall, they were disappointing. I didn't like them at all and I am not going to replace them with other Yokos.  Show details

Not great in the wet – Fitted to a 2003 VY Commodore wagon, got 60,000 kays out of them, probably could of got another 10,000 kays. Not a bad tyre in dry weather but pretty aversge in the wet. Car travels about 9000 kays per year so I asume that the rubber might of got harder over the years compromising the tyres performance. Just put a set of Dunlop sport 300E 205/65/15 and they are much quieter, and the car handles heaps better.  Show details

Terrible in the wet – I had A.Drives fitted to the front of my Corolla. All it wanted to do in the wet was wheel spin - even in 3rd gear. After about 10,000k, put them on the rear. Now in the wet I just loose the rear end, and I am generally a sedate driver. Even though the tyres are only half worn I will be getting rid of them. In summary, scary in the wet.

Just OK – Well before I get into it I would have to say when it comes to car tyres I'm no expert, more so motorcycle tyres. Some have mentioned the lack of grip but in my experience not too bad. I bought a 2001 Toyota Camry V6 front wheel drive and compared to my previous V6 Camry these are much much better. They grip well on wet roads even when medium… Read more

level acceleration.

As I have only had my new to me car 3 weeks I can't comment on their durability but will update this in 12 months. I don't think these are a directional tread (any comments welcomed) so will do a full rotation in a few days.

Lack of grip

Can be better – I chose this against Cooper AT3, Hankook and BFG All Terrains . Could not wait for Hankook which was out of stock. I was bit disapointed with poor stone ejection. I Overlooked the fact there is no stone ejection design in the 2 centre grooves. The grooves are straight vs stepped design in Hankook. Good wet and bitumen handling. Haven't tried off-road yet. Poor stone ejection. Noisier than Dunlop AT22.

Puncture magnets on dirt – These tryes offer great performance and wear on good surfaces but I have copped 4 punctures in 12 months driving on an unsealed road. I do approx a 20km return trip on an unsealed road once per week with the remainder of my 300km week mainly on good sealed highway). The other car uses a cheap nasty brand from kmart and does that unsealed trip 2-3… Read more

times a week and no punctures (yet...). The Yokohama is waaaay better than the cheap n' nasties on the sealed surfaces though... Wear and grip on wet and dry sealed surfaces. "unlucky" and no better grip than the cheap 'n nasties on unsealed roads.

Great Wearing Tyres – I fitted a set of Yokohama A.drives om my Volvo in 2008. Currently I have done over 73,000 Km on these tyres . They will be coming up for replacement soon, probably within another 5000 Km. I mainly drive country miles on good roads. I travel approx 120 Km a day when I use the car. I drive a Volvo 940 GLE sedan. I will buy these tyres again. Great value for money. Great wear and Quiet  Show reply

Solid and durable run of the mill tyre, – I purchased a 1994 Honda Accord with them already in place. They are now approaching 60,000km and still have 30-40% wear left. I dont drive hard and all drivng is on straight freeway, main road conditons. I think the Honda is the quiet car (not so much the tyres) and if I keep it, then will look for quiet, low rolling resistance tyres. However,… Read more

thumbs ups for a decent solid no frills product. Durability Not too confident in the wet, wee bit noisy?

Excellent – Really good tyre for the price. Just bought another two to replace the worn rear tyres (not A-drives) on my Magna. Really good value for money. Paid $119 fitted & balanced for 205/65's from Bob Jane T Marts. Driven about 20,000 ks on them on mainly winding bitumen roads. Grip well in both wet and dry driving at usual driving speeds. Made a noticable difference in the handling of my '93 Magna. Not a great deal of wear on the tyres.

Excellent – I have had Yokohamas for long time now. They are a perfectly weighted product - quality vs price. Ride is smooth and quiet. On corners tyres give a confidence and hug tarmac, mind you though they are not a racing tyres. I have smoked and bit the tihs out if my old Yokohamas but they lasted forever, so will this ones. Lasts for long, hugs tarmac, steady and good drive in rain. Quiet Bubbly look :)

OK – A good all round tyre for the family car.Hard wearing and comfortable to live with everyday. Would probably buy them again at that price compared to what else is on the market. Cheap $115 fitted/balance for 15inch 205, good quality and quiet.Grip and brake well in the wet and dirt roads. Not a great deal of road feel.Dry weather handling is a bit unstable if you tend to push it.

Excellent – I bought a set of these tyres for a 2002 model Toyota Avalon. Upon driving out of the Bob Jane T Mart, I noticed an incredible difference. The steering was light and the whole driving experience just felt a lot better. I have had them on for about 20,000 km and not noticed any appreciable wear. No punctures yet. They seem to be happy on wet… Read more

or dry bitumen. Very smooth on the road.

When it is time to replace them, I will ask for them again. Good rolling tyre. Seemed very good value for money. Made me feel safer.

Not the best – I have these fitted to my 6cyl Fairlane in which i drive 140 - 150 k's a day in a combination of country, hwy and city driving.Being Yokohama tyres i had high expectations, they are excellent in the dry, but after 20k k's they have developed such a bad noise i thought the front bearing were gone. To say they scare me in the wet is an… Read more

understatement, i am at the stage i don't won't to use the car in the wet until i buy new tyres, i can't even take off from a set of lights gently and i mean gently, without the rear wheels spinning and the car drifting sideways.Another thing, in the wet is there is a constant feeling of oversteer when cornering. Very good in the dry Not good in wet

Safe, long wearing tyre. Good grip in wet and dry, quiet at higway crusing speeds – I've had this tyre on a Mazda 626 (195/65 R15) and on a Peugeot 306 (185/60 R14). The trye was noticeably quieter on both cars and offerred improve directional stability when cruising, better turn in response when cornering and good grip levels in all conditions. To top it off, the tyres wear very slowly. It's not what you'd call a performance… Read more

tyre but for the average family car driver who wants a good value, long wearing and safe handling tyre, the Yokahama A-Drive is hard to go past. I've tried many brands of tyres on both these cars; Pirelli, Dunlop, Michelin, Bridgestone, and the A-Drives have been the best all rounder. Should be at the top of your list for average family cars. Not a lot.

worst tyres i have ever had – these tyres came on a brand new holden i bought in 2010,ok for 12000 km then have gradually worsened,(very noisy, even the radio struggles to drown the noise out)have only done 16000 km on them and @ $450-00 a pop will have to struggle to put up with the noise, have returned to the dealer to confirm the noise is the tyres,no joy with replacement!unsure if these tyres are a drive, they are a 18"-245. expensive, noisy

Good – I have been quite happy with these tyres. They have gripped and even now when they MUST be replaced they still over good grip in the dry. I would definitely recommend them again. Not sure if I am going to replace them but I am very, very happy with them. Longlasting - over 60000kms including quite a lot of gravel road driving. They are great… Read more

on dry roads and not too shabby in the wet. I used to drive 125kms to and from work for about 1 year and these tyres were there for about 50000kms of that year - through rain and sun. Part of the drive (about 15) was winding, hill roads in South Australia and the tyres seemed very good at going around corners. Perhaps a bit loud? However, I should qualify that by stating I am not really comparing the noise to anything.
