I have been with YOUI motorcycle insurance for 2 years and fortunately have never had the reason to make a claim but the policy came with roadside assist and a few days ago I was stuck with a flat tyre. no charge. The insurance quote I received was very comparative to other insurance companies with the added bonus of including roadside assistance included in the policy.

I was after a quote on motorcycle insurance, and while service from the service rep was fine, the product was far more expensive than others and doesn't insure a vehicle when it isn't registered (e.g. if stolen from a shed, if damaged on a trailer, etc) and suggested the bike would be insured for between 14 and 19k which is far too broad a range. … Read more

None of this information was freely volunteered and I had to ask several questions to get it. They are not a motorcycle/restorer/rebuilder friendly insurance company.

Made a claim on the app and was called immediately by the super friendly staff to ensure I was ok talks me through process a so was not at fault , high attention to detail and made it all easy to understand and everything was done in a short ten minutes really appreciate youi’s professionalism. Show details

Easy to set up and fantastic service – Jo was extremely helpful and made taking out insurance on my new motorcycle easy and hassle free. The claim process was easy to get things moving. After a couple of weeks a Youi rep rang to explain the claim had been reviewed after receiving the repairers quote. keep me in the loop about the repair progress which was good but it was easier to ring the repairers direct for up-to-date information.

From start to finish when purchasing the insurance I was very happy. Unfortunately a number of weeks later a car failed to give way to me when I was on a round about and caused damage to my Motorbike. Youi were very helpful throughout the process. Show details

The person whom I dealt with was very helpful and professional however the fact that my quote went from $717 to $838 due to the fact I said I had done a windscreen in the past three years (not my fault) really got up my goat. They still have the best price and the fact they have a 2 year replacement for new motorcycles means I will probably still use them but I certainly let them know I was not happy about that. Show details

quote cheaper and wanted to call me the following day to follow up. Seems to me if they are this desperate to sell policies then they don’t have a great product.

The sails person did not really listen to what I was saying as I do not like direct debit I would have preferred to pay with Bpay or paypal. Seamed to be more interested in doing his spin also was a little bit pushy. Youi was a little bit better I also have 2 other polices with them and I thought that it would be a bit better. Show details

$25/month for fully comp on a 2023 Kawasaki ER-5 which was awesome, but when I wanted a quote for my weekend car (a 92 Ford Fairlane) it was horrendous! Went to Sh@nnons and they were 1/4 of the price so you can guess who I went with. Show details ·  1

Fantastic customer service answered all my squarely questions, best price for my first ride as an L plater, policy terms and conditions seem fair and reasonable for the price, I have not yet called for a claim so cannot comment of that aspect as of yet (hopefully I will never need to) would recommend, thanks youi, legendary. Show details

I'm impressed by Youi's process for quoting. It started online, then required a human who called me back within two minutes. Three other competitors kept me waiting on hold for 15, 20 minutes at a time. Aside from this, Youi offered the cheapest quote on essentially the same policy. Show details

Pushy, overpriced, and misleading. No upfront quote online- just a forced call-back from a salesperson ('Danny', the pommy guy, this time around) who, while polite, was overly persistent and repetitive. After 20 minutes on the phone, the quote was waaaayyy above all competitors. A $1k excess for the first 90 days, no one can ride your bike… Read more

unless stated in the policy. The agreed value is $5- 7k below the nearest competitors, at x3 the cost. Youi is a dodgy company. Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy. AVOID.

Painless and less expensive motorbike insurance – Buying a new insurance policy... The rep I spoke with was very professional and new the products and the issues really well. I was able to make a substantial saving on my previous policy with another firm. It was impressive that these were the first people who actually had my uncommon motorcycle listed among their options. Pushy, expensive quote, with dodgy fine print – I don’t appreciate not getting a straight quote online, and having to wait for a return call from the sales person. Though respectful, the salesman was too pushy, keeping me on the call for around 20 min, repeatedly asking questions already answered. contain a clause whereby the excess is way higher during the first three months - I.e. 1/4 of the year! This is only briefly mentioned by the salesman at the end of his speech. What else is in the fineprint? Unless you are keen to read full PDSs, good luck. It sounds dodgy to me.

Extremely expensive, poor value for money – Shopped around for a quote when my policy was due to expire. Sticking with my current insurer as Youi monthly premiums were 2.5x more expensive and wasn’t near as good. I had the problem with car and house and contents. Too pushy and expensive – Was trying to get a quote online, but after filling in all my details that took ages they don't give you a quote, they straight away call you to try sell it to you, I get it but if I wanted a phone call I would have called them. Next you need to confirm every piece of information all over again to the person who called you. Waiting everyones time… Read more

I finally got a quote over the phone after about 20 minutes on the phone repeating everything I already filled in online. Was the most expensive one out of 4 companies I compared. And once I Said I need to shop around to find the best value for my money the consultant became pushy to finalise, and then said he will call me tomorrow and I refused as I said I'm working, so he said it's on I can call you just for a yes or no answer. Way too pushy this company! Calls without asking, makes you repeat everything you just filled in online, then pushes to finalise when you are not happy enough with the quote! And on top of that they wanted 200 per month and I found similar offerings for less and finalised with a company at 107 per month

If they can't do quotes online easily, I can only imagine how bad their claims would be – Fill out all the information for a quote, get to the end and they insist on a phone call asking exactly the same questions.. Ended up ending the call as it took too long, all I wanted was an insurance quote to compare with others, the time and hoops you need to jump through just to get a quote is ridiculous, would hate to have to deal with them to make a claim Show details

It is never nice to use, but they make it as easy as possible when you have to – After being hit from behind (a motorcyclists nightmare), the service I got was reassuring. Cost of excess – Youi called following request for motorcycle insurance. $750 comprehensive and $1500 excess for 3 months. No claims no accidents, long time rider. Staff member could not explain huge excess. Swann, $350, $500 excess. No contest Show details
