Are the Carbon heating elements wrapped in fabric? I heard it's best to avoid ones that are due to off gassing.

Sorry mistype meant EMF levels

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi Keirdo, thank you for getting in touch. Please see below EMF test results. Test procedure: EN 62233:2008 Frequency range: 10Hz-400kHz Test voltage: AC120V/60Hz Measuring distance: 30mm (ie. Worst case scenario; radiation levels decrease exponentially with distance from radiating device) Result: Pass Front 1.139% (of recommended allowable radiation Limit : 100%, 10mG) Rear 1.137% (of recommended allowable radiation Limit : 100%, 10mG)

As the recommended allowable magnetic field level for human health exposure is 10 mG, the tested heater panel is fully compliant and comfortably falls within industry recommendations.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you would like any further details.

Kind regards,

How are people using their devices in the sauna for music? The jack is on the inside so I’m concerned that my device will get fried, not sure how to actually use the speakers in the sauna.

Mon
Mon

Hi Michelle, l use my mobile ph radio music outside of the sauna, with either Bluetooth speakers or phone, but l never trake my ph inside the sauna, maybe wait for an answer from vitality4life, they can advise, l am happy as l can clearly hear the music on my mobile, hope this helps?

Michelle
Michelle

I’ve been doing something similar but I just feel it makes the inbuilt speakers redundant. Wonder why they didn’t design for the jack and shelf to go on the outside of the unit

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi Michelle and Mon, thank you for your question. We hope that you are both enjoying your Zen Brighton Saunas. We understand your hesitation to have your devices inside the unit. We can confirm that the sauna is designed and built to comply with Australian standards. Although the temperature is quite hot for human standards, 65 degrees is within the operating range for most electrical equipment. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything else that we can help you with.

Hello, can the zen sauna be placed on a carpeted area and second level? Thank you Natasha

Shirley M.
Shirley M.

Hi Natasha Absolutely. Mine is sitting on carpeted area & it would be better to take the boxes & put it together on the second level. It's awkward to move once built. I've had mine coming up 3 years now. Shirley

Thank you Shirley

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi Natasha, Shirley is right. But it will leave indents in the carpet, you may want to put some lino or an extra piece of carpet. But that's all it will do. So all good, enjoy. Regards Bec V4L

Hi, we’ve had our Zen infrared sauna for two months now and love it. We use it up to twice weekly but we were contacted by our electricity supplier to advise that our power usage doubled for the recent quarter.

The only thing different is that we now have the sauna. Can you please tell me how much power the infrared sauna uses?

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi Robyn, thank you for getting in touch. It is very difficult to advise on how much power is used as it will depend greatly on your energy company. However they do not use many watts at all. What model sauna do you have? You can have a look at the wattage in the technical specifications on our website and compare with your energy company. I hope that helps. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything else that I can help you with. Kind regards, Hayley

Hi,what are the operating costs for a standard session say,50 minutes? Regards, Anne.

Jon
Jon

Hi Anne, I've had my 1 person Zen for around 6 months, noticed minimal to no difference on my energy bill. Zen says around 25c per hour, and I use probably 3-4 times per week which explains my non existent extra power consumption. Love my sauna. (If your in Perth, welcome to view mine to inspect)

angile
angile

Hi Jon, thank you for your response! I am quite interested in purchasing a Zen Sauna,my partner thought the operating costs per running hour were quite expensive..I can show him the Facts! I am interested in a two person sauna, the issue is where I will place it.I have a large deck,so the option to go outside,is preferable,I would need to contact the Company,to ensure this is viable.

jaya36
jaya36

I only have a one person sauna... and we have solar and a Tesla battery, so we don't really track it. From memory, it wasn't more than running the TV, but I'm not certain. I think you would certainly need some sort of solid weather protection outside... no shade cloth or screen would cut it, for instance. Mine sits in the corner of my sewing room, but it's only one person.

angile
angile

No Solar power and Tesla Battery here jaya36. Absolutely would need an enclosed area for weather protection if the Sauna was to be outside. I have a very large Bathroom, but the design prohibits a Sauna, with a Large corner spa bath, a separate shower,a toilet, two exit doors ,a massive window, an inbuilt Linen Closet and a Vanity also .Just looking at all options! Thank you for your Response!

Zen
Zen   DM

Hello All, thanks for your great feed back Jon :) yes the saunas are very cheap to run - Angile it can be placed outside BUT must be undercover and protected from the weather at all times. We will have 2-3 person Saunas in stock hopefully end of May as we have sold out due to high demand. They are such a good value Sauna and we have such great feed back. Glad you are enjoying your sauna too Jaya36. Great for detoxing! All stay safe and if you have any more questions please contact us at support@vitality4life.com and don't forget more stock coming end of May :) Bec V4L

I would love to know what the real differences are that qualify why the more expensive Saunas out there charge so much more if anyone can help? I am thinking that maybe " Sales Commission" may have a bit to do with it... and why they don't advertise their prices (the expensive ones) I am not so fussed about fancy accessories or the look as much as I am about safety, practicality and efficiency. I just want something that will work as well as the expensive ones , but emits low EMFs and is not going to fall apart on me in a year. If there really is a big difference in any of these categories I would rather spend the extra dollars to get something worthwhile. thanks for any answers. Vicki

jaya36
jaya36

I'm happy with our zenbrighton ... Look, the build quality is probably a bit better in the expensive ones - as far as finer finishing goes. The dear ones have all the light/music gadgets and they're bigger. Honestly, we didn't want fancy, it has a light for reading, only fits one person, and we're really happy with the performance and results 12 months later. The build quality is good, just not 'best'. It performs just the same as the expensive ones, if what you want is plain infrared. Needs two people to build... that's the only downside.

Thanks so much Jaya36 I appreciate your time taken to answer my question

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi Vickitorious, thank you for your inquiry. I am so glad that Jaya36 was able to help you and articulate the reason for our great prices. There are 1-3 person Saunas available and although they are plain and dont have all the bells and whistles they work perfectly, you really feel detoxed and renewed after using them. The 2-3 person Saunas do have speakers which you can connect to music. If you would love to find out more please contact us on 1800 802 924 or support@vitality4life.com thanks Vitality4Life Team.

Is there a minimum safety clearance required between the top of the Zen and the ceiling?

Cheers

Peter

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi Peter, thanks for your question. As far as I am aware there is no minimum safety clearance required between the top of the sauna and the roof. You do however need adequate space above the unit to assemble the unit. If you were wanting the sauna for a particularly small space or somewhere with a low roof, perhaps give us a call on 1800 802 924 and we can chat more about your specific needs. If you have any further queries or would like us to process an order for you don't hesitate to contact us. Regards, Sarah | Vitality 4 Life

Hi, how many FIR panels does this sauna have and where are they located? In regards to the 5-6mG EMF readings mentioned above, how far away was this measured? I'm considering purchasing one of these, could you direct me to all the technical specifications? Thank you!

jaya36
jaya36

It has three large panels; locations as seen on the website. I researched both the website, and a few hours on google. I didn't keep the info, except for what comes with it. Google is your friend. The company has put a phone number on one of the other questions here.

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi Christian, thank you for your question. The Zen Sauna features 3 large Far Infrared Panels. The FIR panels are located on the right side wall panel, the left side wall panel and the back wall panel. As for the EMF readings, I can confirm that the EMF sits at 5.14-6.08 so you can say between 5 & 6 mGa. The Sauna has been tested on it's Magnetic Flux Density which is actually superior to EMF Gauss Testing. Most companies that claim their products have low EMF ratings are only referring to tests done using EMF Gauss meters, and these only measure magnetic fields. In any case, I can assure you that the EMF for the sauna is one of the lowest in comparison with other saunas of the same operation. As far as the distance this measurement was taken from, I will have to find out from the service technicians and get back to you via email. Please consult the product specifications tab available through the following link which details all necessary information.

Thankyou also what about if something goes wrong with it say in 4 years is there the option to buy parts somewhere

I just received mine and noticed that it takes a while to heat up to the highest temp. Is that normal? I'm used to using a sauna set at 65 degrees and having a 45 min session and it took almost 20 minutes to get to 50 degrees.

Jackie
Jackie

Far infrared saunas, to my knowledge, do not have to be at full temp to be doing you good. Personally I put mine on approx 20 mins before I get in. I start to sweat after 15 mins even though it's not up to full temp. Completely different to steam saunas.

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi Robbo, 20 Minutes is about the average to heat to a temperature that you would want to start your session. Not sure if you have used Infrared sauna treatment before but Jackie is correct in that you sweat much quicker than in other styles of Sauna and we do recommend to start off slow and build up as the sauna is a detoxing process so better for your body to get used to this.

Also check for any possible air escape if you are not reaching maximum temperature. Our support team are available on our toll free 1800 802 924 # Monday - Friday 9am-5pm NSW time if you need any assistance with this,

Thank you for your question, The Vitality 4 Life Team

hi can you tell me if these saunas are low emf saunas and what the price of the single sauna above .

why are these saunas so much cheaper than a lot of other saunas?

my email is nwkel57@gmail.com

Zen
Zen   DM

Hi nifty, Thank you so much for your question. We have been selling Infrared saunas for many years now and decided to introduce a sauna based on our customer feedback. Our customers wanted an easy to assemble sauna that could be placed in a standard home without the need for elaborate installation or large space. Our customers also wanted an affordable sauna so they could access Infrared technology in the comfort of their own home. To allow for this we decided to leave out things like a stereo player and light therapy and introduce a 1 person sauna that offered all the detox benefits without any of the additional extras. The build and materials are still of high quality though with a lifetime warranty on the carbon heating elements to support this. The EMF has also been tested at low levels of 5-6 mG.

The Zen Sauna has been extremely popular allowing more customers to access the benefits and easily create a spa-like treatment space in their own home.

Our current price of the sauna as of today is $1,295, this includes delivery across Australia and is available in several colour options. You can view the product and further details as well as place an order via the link below ;

Alternatively, please don't hesitate to contact us on our toll free 1800 802 924 # Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and our team would be happy to answer and further questions or to assist with an order if required,

Many Thanks, The Vitality 4 Life Team
