Love The Idea, But it’s not what it seems – I LOVE the idea of this heater, I like the clean pellets and the on/off switch... however it often fails to ignite, and my burn pot is burning out and I have not been able to source a spare one, concerned if the burn pot goes will I have to retire the complete heater, only been installed 2 years, probably costs a lot more to run than an ordinary wood heater, as the cost of pellets has gone up significantly.

Purchased in for $1,995.

Typical cheap Chinese manufacturing – This particular pellet heater (komfort Z&B) is manufactured by Hongsheng fireplaces in china http://www.nbfireplace.com. we've had it for 3 years now and its been a problem from the beginning, constantly shutting down (high temp), with no explanation in the manual mentioning high temp. very smokey (tried every pellet on the market). The biggest thing is the burn pot, the bottom of the burn pot has completely burned away (sign of cheap product). I've contacted BBQ galore any times, in person, phone etc, but none of the staff seems to have any knowledge of the products they sell, and when I asked for a replacement burn pot I had to explain what a burn pot is. Once explained they told me that they can't get a replacement burn pot and that I should contact the manufacturer, Ziegler and brown. I tried, many many times, all emails are unanswered and phone call ignored after they promised to call me back. so after all that time I still do not have a burn pot and had to create something to keep the pellets from falling through the bottom of the burn pot. as an investigator I started investigating and found that the pellet heaters from BBQ galore are manufactured by hongsheng fireplace co in china. Try getting a response from them, that's almost impossible. I've given up, never again will I buy any product from BBQ galore

Fiddly, noisy, shuts down, almost really good – Sounds like a brilliant idea but is fiddly. The Komfort shuts down regularly. And won't relight for 30 minutes. The heater doesn't seem to have to good sensors so the fans will blow really hard and noisily. On auto temp at its lowest setting it just keeps pumping pellets in and either burning too hot or goes out and sets off an alarm warning. Maybe it will work better for ski resorts or very cold places. In my experience the requested setting is 18 but the room temp might be 26 but and it keeps burning and blowing hard. Once when it failed to light the pellet hopper just kept on filling. Because it thought it was still alight. The pellet hopper needs to be kept really full because the auger needs the pressure from above to keep the feed up. Noisy, fiddly, not enough smart sensors, however produces gorgeous lovely clean heat, when it works.

We've had the Komfort heater working for over a year now. BBQs Galore support were very helpful. I've got used to the slightly quirky features of the Ziegler & Brown Komfort pellet heater and it works very well. There's nothing like coming home on a cold night - press the button and 5 minutes later the Ziggy is roaring. To make sure it lights and burns well you need to vacuum the fine ash from the fire box every 3-4 days and keep a generous supply of pellets in the hopper. We love our Ziggy!
