Age Defy Permanent Hair Colour 5G Medium Golden

Easy to use but darker then expected – I have been colouring my own hair for years and using this product recently. It is very easy to apply and so much cheaper than a salon colour. The dye gives excellent grey coverage and does not fade. I wash my hair twice a week and the colour lasts until the regrowth needs recolouring in 4 weeks. My hair is curly and dry but the supplied conditioner is very moisturising and makes my hair feel soft and smooth. I left the colour on for the recommended time but it was quite a bit darker than I was expecting. Overall I’m happy with the results and will continue to use this product.

Purchased in at Coles for $9.

Verified Age Defy Permanent Hair Colour 5G Medium Golden

Nightmare, – Walked round Boots couldn’t find my faithful, loved Nice’neasy colour I have used for over ten years. Eventually found the “New & Improved” pink box but no 5G. Went to Superdrug, bought two boxes. I have never trusted labels that say “new and improved”, as the old version of my hair colour was fantastic. Why change a good thing. Even hairdressers have complimented my hair colour and shiny condition, over many years. I was proud to say it was Clairol.

First impression of new pack was that I can no longer recycle the blue plastic bottle inside. Now the colour cream is in a metal, non recycle tube. Can hardly recycle chemicals.

Scared and reluctant to use the new formula...rightly so........The consistency is like “slime” and drips. It is weak, not like a permanent colour, more like a 2 day wash out. Followed all instructions but does not cover 100% grey roots as stated on box.

I have dark pink roots now and still some grey. The colour looks false and obviously “dyed”. I used a small amount of the conditioner but my hair looks greasy, not shiny as it always does with the previous formula.

I am so upset and devastated that this new formula is inferior, like a completely different, cheap, un trusted brand. I will never, ever use it again and am heading back to Superdrug for a refund on the second box.
