didn't leak on me – Ive had this kettle for 24 months looks good performance bad. Value for money NO Owned for 2 years, very loud it does boil the water but don't walk away as it will not automatically shut off Show details
Water leaks – The kettle was working ok for few months and all of a sudden started leaking water from the bottom. Has never experienced a similar situation and left half filled kettle overnight to find out my kitchen bench completely covered in water
It’s a shame this kettle has been discontinued – I bought this kettle and matching toaster back in 2010 and both are still working perfectly. I’m quite surprised the paint hasn’t chipped off and both still very easy to clean. I love the size of this toaster as I can easily fit in in the draw….so many others were all too high to fit our big deep draws. Show details

Nice unit until it breaks from the handle. Nice sturdy unit but somehow it breaks from the handle (unusual location and weakness). Show details

Good performer and great looking kettle – A relatively expensive kettle, it does what it is supposed to do. Fast boiling and also quite quiet, happy with this purchase. There are some areas which Kenwood need to improve upon, notably the handle and also the lid. Whilst my handle shows no signs of cracking, this will most likely happen after prolonged usage but can be avoided by not… Read more
filling the kettle to maximum. The heating element is encased within the base and is not visible when the lid is opened which is aesthetically pleasing. There is also a large selection of colours available which can be used to match your kitchen/other appliances. Overall, very happy with the purchase but will wait for discounts/sales before purchasing due to the price.
Best Kettle ever – I didn't think I could get so excited about a kettle. I received this kettle as a Christmas present and it is the niceste, easiest kettle I have ever owned. Easy to fill and beautiful to pour. Looks great on my bench too ( I have the bright orange one) Ease of filling and excellent pouring
Best looking Kettle – So far I love my kettle. I bought it in orange and it looks great in my kitchen. It boils quieter then my old breville kettle which boasted about being quiet. It doesn't drip and is easy to keep clean. They come in a range of colours. So far can't fault it and am very happy with my purchase. The colour option, the good looks and that it's quiet. A little pricey but everything is these days.

Expensive kettle and it just broke! – I got this kettle a few years back as a present, got the purple one. This was when they had a rainbow range of colours. It's been fine, right up until this morning when I went to press the "on" button and it collapsed. The plastic holding it in place was all sticky, and the switch dropped out. It was all plastic inside and the little pins were all… Read more
bent. I am so disappointed, I love my purple kettle. It wasn't cheap, not by a long shot. And it's ironic that my old white plastic Kambrook cheapie which has spent the intervening years in a plastic tub under the house saved the day and boiled my water. Kenwood is an old company and should not be releasing expensive applicances which break after a few years. Well, I'm glad I opted for a Kambrook food processor recently rather than a Kenwood one. Kenwood is now on my list of expensive brands making cheap products. I won't touch Kenwood again.
Waste of money – The jug is leaking through the water level casing after 12 months, poor quality. Not happy at all, and would not buy another kenwood again. Should have lasted much longer Show details
Total garbage – Bought it to match the toaster of the same brand and in fact had to visit 3 stores to find one in the same (red) colour as the toaster. I mostly regret not getting a receipt. In hindsight, this and the $130 I spent was a complete was of time and money. They thing has been consistently leaking for the last few months. Great Job Kenwood, glad to see your manufacturing standards are as high as ever. Show details

Looked snappy, broke after 3 months – Bought it based on looks alone. After 3 months started leaking from the base, Also it seemed pretty slow to heat water compared to other similar kettles. Managed to get a refund on the purchase as miraculously I still had the docket - did not buy another of the same brand! Show details
Extremely dangerous, leaks water – I took my disability mother to Good Guys to find a light weight but good quality kettle, she loved the red Kmix and being a Kenwood it wasn’t cheap at $120! It sits on a marble chopping board and it’s been leaking all this time under the marble on the bench for the past 8-9 months!! It’s actually lifted the beach top under the chopping board I’m glad mum wasn’t electrocuted!! Very disappointed! Well be taking this issue further! Show details

Goods looks...that’s all – Had my kMix kettle for about 18 months. Originally purchased purely on its good looks. What a waste of $120. Water has been leaking out of it over the bench for the past 6 months. My mum had the same kettle with the same problem. Will never buy a Kenwood product again. So disappointed. Show details

A jug that holds no water!! – The kettle looks great. Stylish, sleek and handles well. I chose this brand because the kettle that I just had to retire after 7 years and 11,000 miles around the globe was a KMix. However after just 1 boil there was water leaking from the switch. the following morning the worktop was a wash. A manufacturing flaw I thought so I returned an… Read more
picked up my replacement. Eager for a coffee I plugged it in and boiled it up. No leak but it was just lulling me into a false sense of security. Over night it could not hold its water and the surface was again awash. Resigned to my fate I took it back and got a cheaper and more reliable kettle.
Disappointing – Kettle looks good, although we found it very noisy compared to our old one. The big issue though is that it leaks! The morning after our first use we woke to find our bench covered in water...we'll be returning for a refund & staying away from Kenwood in future. Disappointing Show details
Disappointed – Looks great, but less than three years and it's leaking like a sieve from the bottom of the handle and base. Agree with other rating that it's a great looking kettle, not cheap, so pretty annoyed it's already fit for the bin. Bought in Goodguys. Not keen on new design logo, it's too intrusive to the simplicity of the design, so between this and the design fault on the older model, I shall seek my replacement from another make. Shame. Second Rate Plastic – Great kettle but the plastic housing the handle, water lever viewer and on/off switch is second rate and cracking and breaking off. Seriously for the price you would expect it to last longer than a Reject Shop Special. Cmon Kenwood, review this product manufacturing. The colours are awesome, the design is fantastic the materials suck! Show details
Form over function - avoid at all costs! – Bought this from Harvey Norman 18 months ago. As with other users, the grey plastic of the handle and surrounds has degraded prematurely and is literally cracking and falling off the kettle. Kettle is now dangerous and unusable. Kenwood's response is to get me to fill out an stat dec saying when and where I bought the unit so that it can be 'assessed'. Will never buy Kenwood again. Show details
Kewood Kmix jug – Don't let looks fool you. Looks good but doesn't last long. split and fell apart around handle leaving bottom end of handle open. Power button fell out.leaving small section open where finger could be placed inside. A bit dangerous I feel. Not impressed. For the money I wouldn't buy ever again.
Lucky not to have been scalded – I bought the kettle in December of 2011. The handle broke suddenly on the way from the sink to the base. The kettle fell to the floor, splashing cold water on the ground and on my legs and feet. I can't begin to imagine what would have happened if the water had been boiling! After emailing the representatives in Switzerland and sending back the… Read more
kettle at their request, I got an offer for a new kettle at half price + port, for a hefty 77.50 Swiss Francs. I refused their offer, as I don't trust this product anymore. I am a little shocked that they reacted this way instead of taking this problem seriously. This model should be withdrawn.

Could be dangerous! – Like other reviewers experiences here, plastic fatigue set in after 2 years and the handle fell off today while pouring, narrowly avoiding a scalding. Otherwise, a beautiful looker boutique kettle which until it's demise, efficient. Not good enough for the price, and should be withdrawn for safety reasons. Waiting for a response from Kenwood.
Doesn't last – After about two years the lid of the kettle would intermittantly pop up by itself. This was due to the plastic cracking at a join line where the clip engaged with the plastic. This meant that the kettle would not turn off by itself and if forgotten boil dry leading to a burnt film that would come off in flakes in the kettle. Managed to put up with… Read more
that and then plastic underneath the water level window cracked meaning the swtich didn't work anymore. So this kettle only had a life of 3 years. In comparison my previous kettle of a comparable price latest 11 years. It looked good is about the most positive thing about it.

Doesn't last long as an expensive kettle – FAQ from Kenwood. What is the average life of a kettle? Normally 5 years. Mine lasts 2 years and 4 months. Pool of water leaking from the bottom plate. The end...RIP. Expensive but does not last long. Quick boil. Modern design. Large Lid on top. Glad I paid $69 not RRP $119.

Works ok, a little noisy butfalling apart – We bought the unit after having used for 40 years, and still do, an extremely reliable Kenwood mixer. Our daughter had purchased a similar kettle and was quite happy with it. After about 3 months, the lid did not always respond fully to opening by pressing the lid release button, but it opened part way and we were not sufficiently concerned to do… Read more
anything about it. At about the 13 month mark, a 3mm crack appeared in the internal plastic lining just above the spout, but it didn't affect the kettle's operation and again we took no action. A month later, a large crack appeared in the vertical section of the handle.
I consider the problems to be brought about by cheap manufacturing processes and incorrect material selection. Kenwood's reputation is certainly not enhanced by it's quest for greater profits at the expense of lower quality products. Manufacturers never pass on the savings they make by exploiting the cheap labour available overseas. For a kettle priced at over $100.00, I expected to get a top quality product instead of rubbish.
I attempted to contact Kenwood to make them aware of our problems, but could only find reference to DeLonghi (the distributors) who, three months after my communication, still have not replied.
2 kettles in 18months both faulty – We bought t he sunny yellow Kmix kettle and I loved it for 6 mths til the switch cracked and needed to b e held on, took te receipt ba ck and was given a new one and this morning , 3 days out f warranty awoke o a puddle of water around the kettle, blamed my 4 year old for spilling coconut water, learned it p and filled the kettle which emplitied… Read more
itself all over the counter via the switch on the kettle. Luckily I hadn't finished leaning the first spill yet orbit would have been placed on the base .
Much as I love the. Look f this kettle I am afraid I'm returning to the alessi I has for 13 years before replacing it! Color choice, aesthetic and handle position 2 faults over 2 kettles in 18 ths, both dangerous
Cracked handle – I thought it was a one off- the handle cracking after 6 months use. It was only on reading Product Review, I found I am not alone. I have been hunting for my receipt, with no luck. I won't recommend this kettle, nor buy another. Very disappointed. Buy something else. Looks nice when not broken Broken handle after 6 months use

Great Jug – Bought the kettle a year and a half ago- loved it- but we barely use it maybe once a day if that. Today found that the on off switch has cracked and the button has broken off. Know I bought it for its looks but it still hacks me off that I paid that amount for it and that its broken with no rough wear and tear. Loved the colour! expensive for something that could break so easily
Great until the handle cracked – Like several other reviewers, the handle on ours cracked- just randomly one day when it had definitely not been heavily used. It's cracked in a way that if you aren't careful when you grab the handle, I could imagine cutting yourself (has scraped my skin already). I'm fairly annoyed as I bought the matching toaster because I was so happy with the… Read more
kettle and am now going to have to buy another kettle of another brand so it won't match anyway. Looks great, matching appliances, good design Broke easily, could cut your hand
Was good key word WAS! – Kettle was good worked well. It has now suddenly cracked around on off switch so for it to work you would have to hold it. Warranty has run out by a week so can't do anything about it & I wouldn't pay $120 for something that lasts less than my cheapo one from target. Quick & quiet Expensive for short life span
Nice kettle, but didn't last long – Brought my kettle at Christmas time in china white. looks great sitting on the bench.. But only lasted 4months. Lid release catch broke and glass water gauge has cracked. Very disappointed really. For the cost I would have expected at least a years worth of boiling water! My bad luck I guess as I can't find the sales docket for replacement.. Will… Read more

Promising at first, but now broken – We bought this kettle about 5-6 months ago and thought it was great: good styling, easy to hold, fairly quiet and quick. Unlike our old kettle (which had the handle directly above the lid), you can also open the lid without burning your hand from the steam. Sadly though, that good experience ended last week when the plastic molding around… Read more
on/off switch cracked. The grey molding holds the switch in place, so it's now difficult to operate and will soon become unworkable. It's had a pretty easy domestic life, so pretty disappointing for this to happen so soon.
Have the instruction documents but not the receipt, so I'm about to find out how good Kenwood's customer service is. Given they've only had this model on sale for a short time, I'm hoping reason and goodwill will prevail. Sensible design, good looks, reasonably quiet and quick On/off switch now loose because the molding around it has cracked already.

Disappointed – For 8 months I have loved this kettle but it suddenly stopped working this morning. The light is on but it's not heating the water. I can't find the receipt so I guess I can't claim on the warranty. It was a great looking kettle and matched the toaster. I had the white version which looked great and worked perfectly until today. Will I buy another one? Maybe not. The sleek design It failed after 8 months
Take it back to HN they will have a copy of your receipt so you can still claim
Very stylish – We love our new kettle, it is very easy to fill and pour, and looks great! It does take ages to boil and I our last one was a quiet boil so I wasn't used to the noise. It also isn't as big as my old one. Overall very happy with it! Looks great, easy to fill and pour Takes ages to boil
Great kettle, but has some faults – The colours are great and would match any kitchen decor you might have. I love the simplicity and sleek look and quietness of the kettle is fantastic but not sure about the quality. I've had this kettle for 6 months and the handle has split already. Now off to find the receipt and get a replacement. The look, simple and you can choose any colour. I also love how quiet the kettle is. The handle has split after 6 months.
Same here. Had it for 7 months handle has split in so many spots mmm not happy
It is great – so good i love it i was wondering where you could buy more Show details
