Noontec A9 Smart TV Box – Unit comes in several options. Mine came with a WiFi Mouse and purchased an additional mini keypad with mouse. Found the system easy to use and great value for money. The latest firmware update has improved this system a great deal. System runs in 16.9 as standard and plays movies in full HD. May options avaliable for dowload on the Android system so I am now able to play games, browse the net and watch Podcasts whenever I want. System is fast enough but is no power house, its more or less acting as an Android Phone. Built in WiFi means I can take this unit anywhere I like. Use it at home or in the Caravan on a camping trip. I have an external HD with all my movies and content so I can take it with me. Lots of connection options including HDMI and Optical.. Very Cool little unit that won't bust the bank. Small, Portable and low cost. Many options and does alot for a single system Interface can be a bit clunky at times.

A rare find. A player that does nothing as advertised – -There's no support for file shares on this unit. -The remote is so tiny that it's extremely difficult to use. Doesn't come with the keyboard as standard, so I couldn't use it to test. -To turn the unit off you need to use the button on both the unit AND the remote. -Videos don't scale to 16:9 in the default player. -Does not come with a manual and no online manual is offered.

-The interface is clunky, needing multiple presses to register.

-Stutters through 1080p and 720p mkv, but not avi. It even stuttered through DVD rip. Of course, this is when you can find the file you're looking for. Oh, and if the player doesn't crash while you're looking for it.

-The OS often crashes back to the desktop because it's so slow trying to do something as simple as look at a picture. Thumbnails take up to five minutes to show, even after it should have cached.

-You absolutely need to install a 3rd file browser, the default video icon shows all files that could be videos. Including .bat. dat, etc... no file sorting here. All files are dumped in front of you in alphabetical order.

I've updated the firmware to the latest from the Noontec site. As this player stands, it won't play most of my videos and the few that it does need to too much work to get to.

My advice is that if you have a dodgy Chinese model, like me, stick to that. Odds are that it plays all your files in an organized and timely manner. Shiny. Everything else.

What a totally unfair review! This product does have some flaws, but its cheap, oh so cheap, and its basically an andriod phone with HDMI capabilities and some other nice additional connectivity.

I have one, and its a joy to use for Youtube, TED, VEVO, Web browsing, Angry birds, other stuff like that, I use bubble PNP for streaming from my DLNA servers, works a treat, whether I stream from my Win7 machine or my MAC using tvmobili... The Wireless Noontec keyboards supplied are superb, the best I have seen really, and to have them supplied for the total of £110 that I paid, well as I say, its a bargain. Enjoy what it offers and accept that its an early implementation of things to come.

Hello, no I don't lol, I am a computer systems engineer in London. I simply appreciated the product for what it offered for the price. £120 for the A9 including 2 wireless keyboards.

Cheers, Rich

Very happy with mine and it does all the things that this person cant seem to get working. Easy to use and does turn off with one button press... This bad review is unjustified in my opinion
