Great big wheel scooter – I chose this scooter because it didn't have the smaller wheels and tyres like so many other scooters, it handles well, and the ease of not having to change gears is convenient for short commutes, I also have a luggage box I the back of my scooter which is convenient for storing my helmet when I prefer not to carry it around with me

Piaggio Liberty 150ie - has some major design flaws - NOT ok for passenger riding – Just have a look at what holds the front wheel to the back wheel ... and then consider what happens when you put weight and then more dead weight at one end of the bike. This was the first scooter I owned like this, with no extra bracing between front and rear (flat floor area) and it is truly a terrible setup if you want to take a passenger. The back of the bike flexes all by itself with a passenger, all of the time they are there. This doesn't happen on a conventional bike. If this is your first experience of doubling, let me tell you that this is NOT normal.

The motor is responsive, a lot better than your standard chinese scooter, but this design flaw is not recoverable. Also, you'll need to be at least 5' 8" to get your legs in a position where the passenger pegs don't bruise your calves. Also, if the passenger is short, they can barely reach their pegs. Shocking peg position.

I did not own this for long. Bought it, got rid of it. If you want to use your bike to double, don't buy anything with a flat floor area. Buy something well braced between front and back. There is absolutely no way a flat floor can prevent body sway.

I should think this applies to absolutely any scooter with a floor like this.
