This was THE BEST TV WE HAVE OWNED but today it got knocked to the ground and broke – I am actually in tears right now as I write this review. This is by far the BEST TV we have ever owned. I am always commenting on how amazing the clarity is, love all the channel options and love the slim design remote. Our son has a disability and can get very frustrated with life, today he was trying to put the power cable back into the back of… Read more · 1
the TV but pulled it back too far and it fell off the cabinet, face first and landed upside down. The TV cracked and the screen is damaged internally with more and more lines appearing, as well as the $500 custom perspex screen protector cracking, which we had made. This is our 3rd TV as our last 2 TVs were also broken by our son when he was younger. This one was meant to last. So very gutted, unlikely a technician can fix this sort of damage? Sadly, we cannot replace another TV :(
About average Smart interface, but decent picture – I would prefer companies to start making these type of tv's without the smart crap in them. Honestly, you are better off getting a $50 Chromecast, or Firestick or whatever for the Smart stuff and just plug t into a HDMI port. These devices can turn the tv on and off from one control, and can work just about seemlessly. Don't buy a TV of any… Read more
kind to replace an old one you are happy with just to get smarts. IF you have a good TV you are happy with, just get a streaming device to add to your existing TV. I went back to my Pioneer PDP-508xda Plasma Screen with a Google TV stick because it gave better performance, better blacks and works seemlessly with the streaming device.
Worthless – Purchased on 28/ 05/2018 after a couple of months had to have the screen replaced as it was faulty, the screen has packed up again, have been told by technician no parts available and cannot get fixed. Not happy! Money spent on a useless product.

Focus on the big picture – As with some products or services, there may be a few bumps along the way. On the positive side, this 65" Samsung has a big enough and well defined picture quality for any size living area. The TV unit itself has a sturdy and stable presence with a solid stand or optional wall mounting. After some 'getting-used-to', I find the Samsung Smart Remote… Read more
a refreshing change to the previous, cumbersome and detailed Samsung remotes, now more user friendly, intuitive and prompt in response times. Where the unit can be frustrating is the delayed refreshing time when scrolling through the TV's guide. Slow and apparently common with this series. I also noticed the horizontal bottom scroll panel on the screen only shows icons of a couple of channels recently watched rather than a wider selection of channels I've visited previously. There must be a way to restore them in the scroll panel but as yet I'm a little lost as to how. One major dilemma I had was a screen problem issue. There was quite a bit of obvious dark grey, blurry clouding all around the edges of the screen that encroached considerably into the screen's viewing area. Disappointing, although Samsung were quick to explain and organise collection for repairs to the unit - a case of replacing the relevant LED tubes. Roughly five working days later, it was returned safely and reinstalled, at no cost. In my opinion, I recommend buying an extended warranty whenever purchasing an expensive item such as this product. It can be an added level of insurance and comfort when emotions can escalate after things go wrong with a product. Bumps? Yes there were a couple of teething problems but the customer service level in accessing Samsung's remedial services was prompt and helpful, thus restoring my faith in the Samsung brand.
4 samsungs in our house – We have 4 samsung tv's in our house - 3 series 6 (one of them UHD the other 2 just HD) and one is an older series that offered 3d (never even opened the glasses - what a crock!). Anyway... I am on the hunt for another tv to replace the oldest of the samsungs because it's "smart" version is too old to support netflix. We purchased a samsung thumb… Read more
drive to get it to connect to the internet wirelessly and oh my god it it so slow and so laggy its apalling. We find that the 3 newer series 6 models are all SOOO SLOW to change the volume, connect to netflix, stan, change channels even when watching free to air. Really, the changing of the tv's volume (to low when you turn it on in the mornings) is the biggest bugbear. There is so much lag it's totally infuriating - the most expensive UHD tv is the worst! If someone turns on the tv in the morning we are all blasted by the loud volume it was set to the night before as the volume button is so laggy and unresponsive, it could be 10 seconds until we can get the volume down - yes the tv is hardwired to the internet and yes we have NBN. I think the processors in the samsung tv's are not up to the job - dont sell a big juicy bells and whistles tv without processors to run them Samsung!!! Oh, and an interesting thing - we all agree that the best picture in the house is on the big HD samsung - it beats the UHD considerably. Go figure. Figuring out how to record a show or playback something recirded on a thumb drive is very confusing and convuluted so we have given up. Samsung only supports PC and we are a mMac household - also another stupid annoying thing. Samsung you are obviously a PC company so please think outside the lines here. Lastly, we bought a Samsung soundbar for the big UHD tv and the sound on all settings is so muffly we have stopped using it. What a total waste of money.
Great TV – Moving on from Aldi Bauhn cheapo TVs, this TV was a huge upgrade in terms of build and image quality. I've been skeptical of smart TVs and relied on Chromecast till now, but it was a breath of fresh air using the (fantastic!) TV remote and smart TV interface and built in apps. TV interface is a little choppy, being an entry-level TV, and the apps… Read more
do crash on occasion, but can be easily fixed by restarting the TV by holding down the power button on the remote for ~5 seconds.
Do note that while you can cast from your smartphone to the TV if there is a compatible app installed on the TV (such as Netflix or YouTube), there is no actual Chromecast functionality built in to the TV, so if you rely on Chromecast you will have to keep one plugged in to the TV.
Undoubtedly the best feature of the TV in my mind is the new simplified Samsung One remote. It also has programmable universal remote functionality, meaning you can use it to control set top boxes and HT receivers, though I have had some difficulty controlling the volume on my receiver occasionally depending on the TV input source selected.

Great Smart TV with lots of apps – The Samsung Smart TV has all the usual smart apps built in which is great. The picture and sound quality is also very good. The tv has HDMI inputs, and a LAN port for internet which helps with streaming apps.
Awesome – does everything i expect and wanted it to do I believe it still holds up strongly against newer model samsungs and i would totally recommend it to anyone who wants a good tv Show details
Great TV for the money, great TV in general! – Picture quality is excellent and I love the minimalist remote control. Had some issues with sound dropping out intermittently at first but Samsung sent out a technician (free of charge) and he updated the firmware using his mobile phone (would you believe) and no problems since for awhile then started again. Rang Samsung helpline and they did a… Read more · 2
remote "fix" and reset the firmware and no problems since. Cannot fault the Samsung service - it is excellent! Only thing missing is a digital coaxial output, otherwise the optical cable works a treat!

Very disappointed – The screen has purple blotches after 2yrs of use. The blotches are getting bigger as time goes on and more are appearing. Apparently, according to google, this is a common issue with Samsung TVs. Show details
2 years 4 months and the TV has blown with a $650 quote to repair!!!! – The Samsung 43" TV was purchased in December 2018 for around $800. It is out of warranty. The TV blew 4 months after the warranty ended. Samsung Service was awful. After 45min on their chat helpline the agent would not pass on any service details. We had just purchased another Samsung 75" TV before the 43" blew up. This TV is being returned as Samsung TVs do not last and they have extortionate service costs. Show details

POOR QUALITY – Absolutely poor quality from Samsung. As with every other Samsung tv's common problem the led diffusers have come loose after only 18 months. It started to happen after 6 months and Samsung wanted nothing to do with it. Show details

ABSOLUTELY TOTAL WORTH! – Being a smart TV and totally in sync with the brand Samsung's quality, the TV is complete worth the penny. NO complains bought it over 1.5 years now. Could do with a better remote and e-manual – The TV is great but In its efforts to create a smaller, minimum buttons remote Samsung have lost usability. If you are watching from a USB and you want to toggle subtitles you cannot with one button; you have to push down then right 5 times then select then enter 3 times then up or down then right then enter! Ridiculous. The use of the coloured… Read more
