Loud (on the lowest fan setting) but efficient cooler (below 35 degrees). The sleep function is problematic. It only dims the ever present display… Read more

for as long as the cooling function is running or your timer. As soon as you change to dehumidify or fan, or the timer runs out, on come the blinding display lights. Timer - 8 hours maximum, so you will be blinded at some point by the display. The sleep function does nothing to quieten the unit. The remote control temperature setting can become out of sync with the unit - say unit 25, but remote 26 - if you use the remote to control temperatures. It seems optimal to only run as a cooler, despite the other functions and how loud the device is. In 40 degree temperatures, obviously you need to run the device at a much lower temperature, otherwise, expectedly, it cannot cope. I use the device with fans because the swing motion on the unit does not do much to disperse the cooled air (even at the highest fan speed, thundering louder than conceivable for such a small unit).

Bit pricy/noisy but beats the summer heat – Took 1/2 star off for noise/hose heat Took half star off for price Decent aircon that cools down a room up to 3X5 (no bigger but ideally 3x4 or… Read more

smaller) I don't use the vent hose as it gets too hot and adds to heat in room so I stand it in the doorway and drape curtains around it for a seal (being careful not to block vents) Pros: Works well on high and low putting out 18*deg cool air, bit noisy on high but OK on low. Caster wheels are good quality (solid surface) Seems well built and comes with 3yr warranty Has dehumidifier and doesn't seem to gather too much water (depending on location) Remote is nice Has swivel vent (auto) Setup/operation was easy enough Cons: Price ($829 I paid) Bit noisy on high 3.5kW so will chew a lil bit of power Window vent piece is a bit short Tips: If you can, don't use the hose (or keep the hose short because of heat) low is the best setting as high is too noisy Using the vent hose reduces the noise from the exhaust Hose seems to go on anti-clockwise Make sure your room is well sealed Leave for at least 4 hrs before using (gases and lubrication oils) and if it makes a bit of noise on first start just turn it off and restart a couple of minutes later.

warning for fly screen windows owner – I bought this few days ago. small part was missing but gets fixed up quickly. The cooling unit works alright as this is the reason I bought it at the… Read more

store and I hope it does not cause any issue. It turns out that the set up for the hose connection to the slider is different from the other brands. The long nozzle head stays on the other side of the slider so it is not friendly if you have a fly screen. An adapter for the hose has to be purchased at extra cost from online store (But I was never told about that until I had the unit home). Hope the manufacturer fix this up to avoid confusion from future customers.

the machine itself is great. Works very well; cools faster and is much quieter than our last aircon. (Which we did expect for the price.) The problem… Read more

is the air hose attachments - absolute trash! you move the machine or the hose, the slightest bit and it all disconnects. We've had to tape everything together and to the machine. We are dreading the thought of pulling it apart for storage over winter and then having to assemble it again next summer.

Like a newborn baby! – The worst portable aircon you could possibly get. The good: decently cools down the room. The bad: needs to be drained alot. Blows water out with… Read more

the cold air. The ugly: needs to be drained ALOT and therefore wakes you up all through out the night needing to be emptied over and over leaving you with no sleep!

It most definitely should not be blowing water out and it should not require constant draining in cool mode as per the manual, and most importantly you should be able to sleep through the night! 2 faulty products in a row. Good guys were champs and very helpful and understanding, agreeing this is definitely serious design flaw.

This product would only suit someone who has a huge draining bucket and doesn't mind water blown out and yeah look it is loud, they typically all are when in the higher room size range, so be prepared for noise and turn up that TV.

Conclusion: don't buy this, there are so much more better brands out there. I do not recommend.
