This aircon was a replacement for a system damaged during the 2019 flood in Townsville, also a Panasonic. While the first one was a very good one,… Read more

the CS-RZ25VKRW with CU-RZ25VKR installed in September 2020 created a lot of troubles and required a lot of warranty servicing by Empire Airconditioning. This was mostly due to a helicopter/motorcycle like strong noise of the external unit appearing often. I had expected this Panasonic to be quiet and create low noise as this aircon was in my bedroom, but sadly this was not the case... With the warranty over I asked another company last month to do full cleaning of the system (before the summer heat) and to do something about the noise. It was explained to me that such a helicopter noise is not uncommon for two blades fans especially at low speed, and that mechanical balancing of two blade fans is more difficult than of three blades fan. And no improvement was achieved as far as noise was concerned.

I am now considering a replacement of my bedroom aircon. But I do not think I will go for another Panasonic, I find it hard sleeping with the motorcycle noise...

Drippy Panasonic – Installed last year, found wifi connection to be a real plus and wifi works so much better than our Mitsubishi ac wifi does.( it disconnects often).… Read more

The Panasonic has a remote and can be set down to 16 degrees (whether this is a gimmick or not I’m not sure but we like it) . We have 4 Mitsubishi splits to compare with in our house and the Panasonic operates the best. It cools immediately, is not to noisey on high and this 7kw unit does large area very well. The nanio technology I find is a nonsense and makes using the remote confusing the phone app is easier to use. This unit leaked water down the wall quite a bit on humid days and to fix it was a tedious job as problem was only solved by removing cover and running on humid days. The condensation was running and dripping from an earth wire inside the unit then just missing the water tray and running out bottom of unit. Also on the other side of the tray, water was dripping outside of the tray. The fix was quite easy with some bitumen tape simple allowing the drips to drip onto the tape down into the tray . Drips were a bit close to wiring and could have caused an electrical short. It’s a design fault with the unit so doing this review so others know ( might save a house fire) Also about to purchase another 3 units for bedroom s and wondering if the 3.5 kw units have same problem. Would appreciate anyone’s reviews on these.

To Date we are Very Happy with our Panasonic Ducted System HOWEVER – Following the Handover of our property in Brisbane, by the New Home Builder in October 2022, we moved into our home in late November 2022. It would… Read more

be remise of me not to comment on the FIVE STAR (Excellent), After Sales Customer Service that I received from Panasonic Australia’s Customer Solutions Specialist, Melyssa.

These are some of the high lights of our Panasonic Deluxe Ducted System 3 Phase U-200PZH2R8: • Deluxe Three Phase System • Cooling 20.0kw • Heating 22.4kw • To date we have had all year round comfort, from our New Ducted Air Conditioning System. • We found the system to be Energy Efficient, as we also have Solar Power connected. • High Performance for both Cooling and Heating to the 7 Zones in our home. • We used the My Air Wall Mounted Display Controller as it is a Smarter Way to Control the various functions of the system, like single or multi Zone Temperature Settings, Fan Speed, timer settings, Setting specific Temperature Settings of the 7 individual zones contained within our home etc. • We also use the MY AIR Phone App, to control the same functions, but specifically to start the system prior to our arrival home, selecting whether we want the place either warm or cool. • For peace of mind the Panasonic Ducted System comes with a Full 5 year parts and labour warranty

HOWEVER, *We do not recommend the Installer JB AIR 11/10 Enterprise St, Molendinar, Gold Coast QLD 4214, as they did a terrible job in certain parts of our installation. Checkout our Google & Product Reviews for JB AIR.

Victorian Split System Rebate scheme. It was installed by Savage Air who made a good fist of the installation even though the unit arrived dead. The messing around to replace a dead circuit board took a couple of weeks but we eventually got the unit up and running. Overall the unit works really well and very easily heats and cools our 40 square double storey home. The only issue now that its running is that in cooling mode you cannot turn off the fan. Even when it has achieved the setpoint temperature the cooling turns off but the fan keeps running all the time at a very low speed. The heating function also worked like this but we complained and the installers changed a setting and it now turns of completely but they have told us Panasonic said this cannot be done on the cooling function. Given the whole idea was to save power costs we were surprised that we have to pay for the fan to run 100% of the time during summer even when cooling isn't needed. Not sure what that's costing us.
