Euromatic Appliances
Such a crap design – 1 star cuz it actually does keep you cool if it’s right on you. Would never ever suggest this to anyone due to the incredibly cheap & badly designed… Read more
base. The whole base is cut in half & is only held together by 4 tiny, flimsy pegs on one half which go in these thin rings which have broken after just 2 months. If you gently nudge it while walking past, 100% it is going to fall and sound like it just smashed, which is probably the pegs being broken off. Mine barely stays upright.
EUROMATIC 40CM PEDESTAL FAN – This is the third Euromatic fan I've purchased from Bunnings - The build quality is excellent, and Euromatic fans are very effective and good value… Read more
for money... however: I bought the 40cm Pedestal fan with remote, to assist air circulation in a bedroom on hot nights. Positive: - very good air flow. Negatives: (a) It only has three speeds - all are noisy, much louder than other Euromatic models. (b) The front display consists of a bright blue LED display, lighting the whole room up at night. No way to turn it off, so I resorted to a piece of thick, black adhesive cloth tape. That fixed this problem. It's frustrating, as the cheaper Euromatic pedestal fan (no remote) has a variable control, no bright display, and is very quiet. Lesson: consider the options carefully. (By the way, I consider Bunnings products and services to be very good).

Bunnings today could not resist the temptation!
For the size of the fan and blades and being a 520 watt unit, it is incredibly quiet. Only drawback is the doo-dah's that tighten the drums pivoting positioning is faulty so the drum wonders to the up position all the time irregardless how tight you tighten the whatsemyoucallem's on the side (see photo).
Good too that this mega heavy fan has rollers or one would get a hernia and 'drop a log' trying to pick the bugga up! If household fans don't work for you these are a must! 2nd drawback which surprised me is that even though it uses the name "EUROMATIC" (suggesting European origin), it is made in China.
