I used to love the Cherry blossom body wash. It had a beautiful warm vanilla/cherry blossom scent. Bought it recently and the smell has changed and… Read more

also the formula. It didn’t lather as usual had a very strong chemical scent, no vanilla undertones and left my skin feeling itchy and dry. In short now a cheap product. I won’t ever buy again.

Excellent – I absolutely love Palmolive Pure Cashmere Shower Cream, one of the better Shower Creams on the market. It leaves skin smooth, soft and moisturised.… Read more

Has a lovely scent which lingers even after it has been washed off and comes in a beautifully packaged bottle. It's like being pampered every time you have a shower, one of the reasons I like this product so much. The texture of the shower cream is gorgeous, it leaves skin feeling so silky smooth and moisturised. The fragrance is light so it does not overpower your senses. It looks great and is a reasonable price for such a high quality product. Absolutely nothing.

Great product and price – Smells great and love the texture of the product. Moisturizes my skin well. Get this from Chemist Warehouse for half the price instead of from Woolworth for the 1 litre option. Show details

Gentle on hands but it reeks - way too much fragrance – I wanted a pump hand wash for the bathroom that is gentle on my hands as I wash them quite a lot during the day. I also prefer a minimal fragrance. … Read more

This hand wash has an easy to use pump and comes out as a foam, that lathers up well. It did leave my hands soft due to the Argan oil - why I chose it - but the fragrance is way too strong. I used it for a few days and each time wanted to gag at the smell. It's sickly sweet and cloying, like a cheap and nasty room freshener spray. The smell stays on your hands for ages. If this had 90% less fragrance I'd recommend it. If you have your hands in shit all day and want something to mask that smell, this might work!

Not mild or sensitive – I really hate the smell of this product and find it stinks unbearably, so had to throw out an entire full pump pack. Also it immediately irritated areas of sensitive skin and wasn't suitable for use at all.

Shocking Palmolive Gold Soap Downsizing Owes Australian Customers 30% More Soap - NOW! Palmolive Gold soap has been slowly shrinking over the years… Read more

yet the packaging would lead you to believe it's been a constant on supermarket shelves. Only when you compare the actual cakes of soaps, with their fine print, can you see the gradual rip-off has been in action multiple times over an extended period of time. Looking at the packs individually, they look the same in size and appearance with all the same essential words, "Palmolive Gold - Daily Deodorant Protection". Put them one after the other, they still look essentially the same and put them side by side you see even the wrapping is identical.

However, the cake of soap inside has been getting smaller at a decreased rate of 29.1667%, using Palmolive's own documented pack weights; 120gNET (oldest control pack we have) down to 85gNET (recent control pack purchased). The actual weights of the packaging appears to remained a constant 5g.

So, for those who have thought their cake of soap, once unwrapped, has been getting smaller, you're correct.

Now is the time for Palmolive to come clean and, at the very least, give us back the 125g soaps. Maybe they should be 130g or bigger, just to compensate us for what has been a slow but deliberately measured rip-off over time that their bean counters probably thought no one would ever notice.

What makes matters even worse, Palmolive's most recent slick product promotion on the back of the greener packaging shouts, "MORE of what you love - LESS of what you don't". Slick marketing that has the potential to make us think we're getting more soap.

One thing is for sure, Palmolive have systematically and incrementally ripped us off for many years and now they must pay us back, or maybe the ACCC needs to get involved?

the soap the flow through. This is extremely frustrating and anger inducing which flows through to not buying any Palmolive products at all. And that’s exactly what I will do. Your company is big enough to have tested this item, yet you continue to manufacture a substandard product. Shame on you.
