Used this throughout the winter with no issues whatsoever! Great price and does the job with quick heating. Only thing is; i would have preferred one… Read more

single remote for entire banket instead of 2 but not that much of a big deal considering the price. I'd buy this brand of products again.

This blanket generated a bit of hype in the late 2010s, and for good reason. But that was the old version. This old one had an RRP of $50, but… Read more

would often go on sale for $25. I got one of these in 2019.

It had a nice large blanket (10cm more length than the typical cheapie) and a solid remote.

I got 4 winters out of mine with multiple washes and could have kept using it, though part of the cable housing came open, so I binned it out of precaution.

Nonetheless, it was a great buy overall: comfortable, durable, and presumably more than paid for itself in energy savings.

As a result, I purchased another one in 2023 for $89 (it's now a bit cheaper at $79), justifying the increased price based on my good experience with the last one.

But I opened it and found they had changed the product, evident by the new flimsy/hollow remote, and the addition of power on beeping sounds.

I kept it, thinking it should work the same. The blanket itself was still nice after all. And it indeed heated well.

But the remote should have been a warning that they are no longer built to last.

Because mine would no longer power on after 2 winters of use, rendering the advertised 2 year "peace of mind" warranty useless to boot (it broke just one month outside of it).

This is despite having been a lot more gentle with it than my old one, not even washing it nor running over it my office chair.

As a result, factoring in the higher upfront purchase price, I wouldn't have saved that much money compared to if I had judiciously used my old column heater over these two years.

Overall, I would not purchase this blanket based on the previously good reviews it received.

Disappointed – Purchased what I thought was the ideal pillow, especially where it said "Perfect for Extra Support", plus the cotton cover. Unfortunately after… Read more

having my head on it for only a few minutes, I realised my head was a lot hotter than it should feel. In fact, my head and neck were wet. So uncomfortable and there was no way I was going to be able to sleep. Managed to swap to another pillow.

Very poor heat, barely warm, unlike comparable throws of similar price – Do not waste your money on this Big W product, as it performs very badly: it barely warms up at all and is NOTHING like comparable throws from… Read more

mainstream brands.

I purchased the Jason heated throw earlier this week from Big W in Melbourne, expecting the warmth to be similar to the others I've owned - especially as it cost $89 (similar to Sunbeam and Breville products available from Myers, Good Guys, etc). But - even after being turned on for an hour - this Jason throw was barely more than warm.

Over the years I have purchased many heated throws (for myself, family and friends), because they're a perfect solution to a cold house - especially when working from home. All the others have warmed up fast and provided solid heat. Although the majority of the Sunbeam ones died / burned out quickly (within weeks or months of usage), at least they provided lots of warmth while they lasted.

I will be returning my product for a refund and buying a slightly pricier Breville one instead, as my Breville heated throws have been incredibly warm and have never burned out.

Good for a week – Purchased 2 x Jason Supreme Comfort Pillows from Spotlight. Pillows were comfortable for about a week when they completely lost their support. If… Read more

you only need a pillow for a week then this would be a good choice however unless you want to replace your pillow on a weekly basis then keep away from this one.

Absolute rubbish – This pillow was good for about a week then went all flat and lumpy, it says it has a 3 year warranty but both harris scarfe and jason refuse to do anything about it. Stay away from this brand

They shrink – I recently bought 2 Australian Cotton Mattress Protectors from Jason. They arrived promptly and I tried out their size on my bed. They were… Read more

perfect.

However, I then washed them (in cold water, on a gentle wash) and hung them on the line in my garage to dry overnight.

When I put one of them on my bed, I discovered it has shrunk. The padded area no longer covered the mattress as it did prior to washing. It had shrunk at least 7-8cm in width. The second protector has shrunk by the same amount.

I have bought many Jason products over the years and have always found them to be top quality. I have never had any problems which is why I bought the new mattress protectors from them.

The company was excellent and refunded me for these items with no questions asked.
