Problems from day one

firstly the instructions say to hold for 5 seconds, if you do that... flashing P without any hope of starting it. You have to hold it for a second or so, see the H then jump in (with the other hand) and adjust the control before the dreaded P starts (before the five second mark). Very dissatisfied.

Money down the drain

Failed after 5 months. Inexplicable. Simply stopped working. Trying to get a refund. No luck so far.

Good Value for those on a budget

I have found the Jason Fitted QB electric blanket to have been a solid purchase - dual sided controllers, heats up very quickly and is a good size to not only cover the whole bed, but also has large elastic sides to easily cover and stay on a deep mattress.
My only criticism is that whilst the controllers do illuminate, you cannot (in the dark), tell if the blanket is on 1,2 or 3 - this can result in an unexpected temperature if the blanket is turned on in the night without a light.
Generally though, a good investment for the cold winter nights. Show details

Jason fitted electric blanket double do not waste your time

I bought 2 Jason fitted electric blankets in double bed size at Woolworths. Used one and almost immediately one side stopped working. Didn't use the other one for almost 2 years as it was for a spare room, then when first plugged in one side didn't work, then after a handful of uses the other side stopped working. Total waste of money and I'll be choosing a more reputable brand now. Show details

Jason electric blanket - don't bother

I purchased a Jason Wool King Size electric blanket and it did not work from day one - complete waste of money as constantly get the P signal no matter how many times I replug it. I contacted Jason on their website 3 times. I never received a response. I also tried to call them but the line is always "busy". I would give it a 0 star if available. Buy another brand. Show details

Australian Wool Electric Blanket

Bought the expensive electric blanket from spotlight, most of time doesn't work, the controller keeps flash P. Exchanged another one from store on the same day, but still the same. Too embarrassed to exchange or refund. Very disappointed. Regret. Bought another one from Admiral less than 100 dollars, but very effective and easy to control. Show details

Not happy!

I bought my electric blanket 3 weeks ago from Big W. It is now not working. It’s going back to the shop because Jason said I had to return it to place of purchase. Unfortunately I don’t have receipt. Won’t be buying another one. Bev Show details

Very disappointed with Jason Electric blanket

I purchased Queen size Jason electric blanket winter of 2022
Have only used it a few times this winter and now find the controllers do not work at all
I would not recommend this blanket
Have had emails backwards and forwards with Jason only to be told they cannot do anything
That I need to take it back to place of purchase
I don’t have the receipt so that will not work
Very very poor customer service
These blankets are bad quality
I had my previous electric blanket for many years
The only reason I was changing was because I went to a smaller bed
I would most definitely not recommend Jason electric blankets Show details

Too hot for autumn

This single fully fitted electric blanket is too hot on the lowest setting. It's good for preheating the bed, and for switching it on and off manually while awake, but not for having it on all night. I don't know if it has any thermostat function. Maybe it's extra heat will be good for mid-winter in cold dwellings like mine. The controller connection is up on the blanket in a surprising location, and is hard under the right elbow when getting up. Show details

Bought a Jason Wool Electric Blanket but nearly never worked. Exchanged once on the same day, for as soon as the blanket plug in, P keeps flashing. I can't be bothered to. However, last couple of days, decided to give another try, as it is very cold, at the end, spend nearly 300 dollars. but same P flashing again, no matter what I did, unplug, replug, switch on/off,... but doesn't work. Now, anyone got suggestion? Thanks.

Points of praise

  • Reviewers who were a fan of the Jason Fitted Electric Blanket liked that it heated up the bed quickly, making it comfortably warm after a short 10 minutes.
  • The ability of this electric blanket to retain its heat all throughout the night was appreciated by reviewers.
  • The dual heating ability for mattress sizes double and larger was a plus point. It meant that there was no issue if you and a partner didn’t agree on the perfect temperature.
  • The reasonable price, when weighed up against the heating effectiveness of the Jason Blanket, got a thumbs up from happy reviewers.

Points to consider

  • The control unit is positioned too close to the bed. A number of reviewers found that it felt lumpy and uncomfortable when accidentally slept on, especially if they were sleeping on their side.
  • Those who were less happy with the Jason Blanket’s performance found that it produced hot and cold spots throughout the mattress. Others stated that the warmth stopped partway down the length of the mattress, leaving their feet cold.
  • Some reviewers were displeased to find that the blanket took too long to warm up, while others found that the electric heating mechanism stopped working altogether not too long after their purchase.
