were having a look at the beds and my ears pricked up when the gentleman ( Jay ) told me that it will stop the need to use a CPAP and spoke he with Rich ( the manager ) and they assured me that it will stop the need for the use of a CPAP machine.. He sold me on that point, straight away no problem. Both of these men said this was true, Guaranteed me that this was true. Put my money down there and then on the day as a deposit walked away very very happy.

I get home and find out that this information is totally incorrect and I find this rather confronting when you’re talking about someone’s life, you’re guaranteed that it will stop the need to use my CPAP machine, with one of these beds. The actual information is for mild sleep apnoea I can reduce it. Mild is recorded at 5 to 14.9 episodes per hour however I have 62 episodes per hour.

I'm disappointed with the sales team deliberate misinformation just to make a sale. You are talking about someone's Life.

I am so glad I didnt go through the aged care system which required me to have a medical bed when I dont need one. And Sophie beds were right on to getting it to me, whereas the govt system would take months. I had a follow up phone call the next day from Leo to make sure all was ok. Harvey wouldnt do that!!!

finally arrived without notice.

On the service:

Original delivery was quoted 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks we emailed to enquire. After a follow up they finally responded and said it would be another 6-8 weeks (!).

We received an email saying all or part of our order was on its way to Melbourne - we just had to guess if it's all or part of the order. No delivery date. Then one day, we get home and it's on our porch (see pic).

On the product:

Workmanship isn't amazing. I know it's just the slats, but they're rough cut and unfinished and already showing signs of splitting. See pics. The middle support legs are also raw timber; so are.not protected from moisture

The bits you can see seem like they have a light coat of finish.

Not impressed with this for the wait and for the price. Def doesn't live up to the marketing spin.

appear to me that it is a case of "getting what you pay for". Now, I know that old addage doesn't always hold true but everything about SC from the initial sales consultant contact, to scheduling and delivery was an absolute stand out. The two installers worked diligently to ensure the shed was erected without issue. The only blemish to the whole process was the concrete slab which was separately contracted albeit following SC's referral. The slab was overall quite well made except for when the shed installers reached one section of the slab, try as they might, they couldn't get the wall to fit snugly. As expected however, SC had my back and they despatched two men who remedied the issue with steel flashing. In summary then, the shed looks great and is the perfect solution to my storage needs. Well done SteelChief I would have no hesitation recommending your company to anyone requiring a quality shed.

quickly converted to a comfy bed.

So we checked it out in store and did our measurements to make sure it would fit. (it takes up a fair bit of room.) The staff in store were very helpful and we chose the oatmeal covers and then ordered online.

Delivery was super fast and straightforward. The sofa arrived in four big and heavy boxes. We paid the extra for delivery to the room - which I recommend if you have to get it upstairs.

It was easy enough to unbox. The cushions came vacuum packed in plastic and quickly expanded to full size. The timber was wrapped in cardboard and was well packaged to be protected during transit. The boxes were so big that they were a pain to get rid of.

Straight out if the box, the oatmeal fabric cover looked well made and good quality. Very neutral. They had a strong smell that took a full week to dissipate. One cover had some loose stitching, and Eva customer service sent a replacement quickly in the mail.

The timber frame was beautifully made. Solid and clever. However, there was a patch on one leg that looked like the stain had been applied unevenly. Initially we were offered sand paper and oil to remedy the issue, but when we declined this they arranged for a replacement to be delivered to our house and the old one was picked up on the same day.

The slide mechanism was very stiff at first, requiring two people to open and close with lots of hugging and puffing. Customer service advised to tighten up the screws a little more and this improved things a bit. They posted out a beeswax stick to rub on the side rails and this helped a lot. It now slides just like the store model and is a dream to open and close.

Assembly was pretty simple. They send a link to a video or instructions. No tools are required. You just fold out the back and side, line up the bases and pop in ten screws with an easy turn top and put the cushions on. It took an hour with 2 people taking our time. The cushion covers were easy to put on.

It’s a very clever piece of furniture -and the customer service was top notch.

It is comfy as a sofa. You can adjust the cushion firmness by removing some stuffing- but we like the firmness. It is extremely comfy as a day bed, and three people can fit. We also like it as a bed. But some people might find it firm. The seam between the two mattress pieces does not bother us. Note that it is a standard double mattress size and would not suit anyone tall.

I Iove that the covers can be washed and replaced.

They lost two stars for quality control at a factory level cos we shouldn’t have to mess around that much. But they were so pleasant to deal with and the functionality is to clever that we would def purchase from them again. In fact, I would strongly recommend.

I did notice that they didn’t upload my review (which was very similar to this) to their website… which made me tad sad... but maybe it will go up soon?

The finish on the product is top notch, and it is super comfy and sturdy.

Over a week delay in shipping and terrible customer service when tracking it down.

When first set up, the Fabric was great, nice and soft even though it feels a little on the cheaper side..

Build quality - it's not the best. The instructions were fine, although we did end up with a bunch of black plastic rings that didn't have any place in the instructions, so they are still in the drawer. Read through the website and the booklet, watch the videos - they are never used. Boxes arrived with one missing; needed to wait a few days for the final one to arrive after a run around with Koala.

We have had the sofa for just under two months.

The sofa itself has already started to lose its shape because of the design in the hinges of the seated sofa, connecting to the back. The fabric has already shown signs of pilling, which makes it feel scratchy. (Our sofa is one used in the afternoons by our young son if he needs a bit of chill time, or a few family movie nights). The back cushions also sink and slip down the space where the sofa doesn't sit flat against the back.

The sofa bed itself - what a disaster. The fold-out design is easy, which is where the stars come for the review. The half of the mattress that is on the base is hard beyond any measure of comfort. The other half is reasonably comfortable; however, due to the fold, you roll into the base and sink in the middle. It's literally impossible for two people to sleep comfortably on this. We are investing in a mattress topper to try and see if we can make this more comfortable (More money spent).

And then there are the straps at the back that keep the base to the couch when folded out in the corners. They make being able to add a mattress topper or a top sheet void - you can't actually tuck anything under. Extremely frustrating, and the sheets just pull off when you're sleeping or watching a movie.

Koala did ring at one point to discuss our purchase; however, when I asked them to call back in 30 minutes, they never did. Since enquiring about the sleep trial, we have not heard anything from them at all. Crickets.

If you are buying this sofa for an unused space, where you may get a quick sleep on it once or twice a year, I'd say it's okay. For anything that actually needs to be functional, I'd avoid it. For the price, you could get a far nicer sofa/ sofa bed.

This chair is like Sydney Sweeney's cleavage. Looks amazing, is spacious and comfortable, and makes long term play sessions much easier, can easily fall asleep in it, and has enough places to rest your hands. Once experienced you will never go back.

the Nightmare of Elm Street. I have a Split Queen. I sleep alone and it lasted less than 4 years. I can only imagine that had there been 2 people sleeping in the bed it would have only lasted 2. My advice would be not to buy this bed. Don't get lured into thinking that it is better that the other beds on the market because it is more expensive, because it is not.
