has not assisted my sleep patterns. I have knee, hip and back issues as well as mild sleep apnea. If didn’t reduce my wives snoring, and apparently not mine. She found the mattress very comfortable but hated the split mattress set-up. So the bed has been moved to the spare room.

arrange an alternative. We were quickly called back and a super helpful staff member sorted it all out within a couple of hours. It actually worked out slightly cheaper as we’re were returning customers having bought a queen size mattress a year or so ago. On the day of delivery we were allocated a time but unfortunately it didn’t arrive in that time window. I called SDHQ and they were able to let me know it was definitely on its way. It arrived with some very tired delivery guys who were super helpful and got everything offloaded. Putting the bed together was so simple and it was up and ready in less than an hour. The bed truly is super heavy duty and so well made. Not a creak or any movement ever. The mattress went on and unpacked in a coup of minutes and all looked fantastic. The cost is slightly higher than other brands but like they say you get what you pay for ! We are so happy with our purchase and would recommend the bed and mattress to anyone looking for something to last. We would buy again if we needed any more replacement beds for sure. Well worth the investment. Communication with SDHQ is amazing and so quick to get back to you. Superb customer service all the way.

more holes and used the extra self tapping screws to strengthen the corners. However, I’m very happy with how it turned out. Not a bad effort, considering I built it solo as a 5ft4 female -if I do say so myself! It came with everything I needed except a pop rivet gun. Luckily they are cheap to buy! Only reason I didn’t give this shed a 5 is that it doesn’t have any sort of ventilation (will add something myself) and there was definitely some improvisation at the end to use up left over screws, (and yes I double checked and I didn’t miss any steps). All round, perfect shed for the bikes and scooters taking up my garage!

finally arrived without notice.

On the service:

Original delivery was quoted 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks we emailed to enquire. After a follow up they finally responded and said it would be another 6-8 weeks (!).

We received an email saying all or part of our order was on its way to Melbourne - we just had to guess if it's all or part of the order. No delivery date. Then one day, we get home and it's on our porch (see pic).

On the product:

Workmanship isn't amazing. I know it's just the slats, but they're rough cut and unfinished and already showing signs of splitting. See pics. The middle support legs are also raw timber; so are.not protected from moisture

The bits you can see seem like they have a light coat of finish.

Not impressed with this for the wait and for the price. Def doesn't live up to the marketing spin.

came to measure up and I told him I wasn’t happy with the angle of one of the walls. He said that was no problem as he can adjust that on the day when he lays the concrete slab. Come the day, I had to go out on an errand and the slab was played at the wrong angle and the tradies had gone. When I raised this with the company they said there was nothing in their notes about this conversation, so if I wanted any changes I would have to pay extra. Since the tradie didn’t tell their HO about our discussion, too bad for me. Further the concrete was poorly laid. In places it had oozed out from the frame and in one corner it was not neatly aligned. I raised this with the company but no response. Half way through the project my project manager went to another job, He didn’t answer most of my calls and emails, but I wasn’t allocated a new a project manager, so I would end up repeating my story over and over to various admin staff. So if you don’t want to pay over $5k for a product that was not what you wanted and delivered with poor service, don’t use this company.

This quality sofa looks great and is comfortable enough to encourage guests to stay way too long. So happy with the product but the service was even better. Would thoroughly recommend! Show details

When first set up, the Fabric was great, nice and soft even though it feels a little on the cheaper side..

Build quality - it's not the best. The instructions were fine, although we did end up with a bunch of black plastic rings that didn't have any place in the instructions, so they are still in the drawer. Read through the website and the booklet, watch the videos - they are never used. Boxes arrived with one missing; needed to wait a few days for the final one to arrive after a run around with Koala.

We have had the sofa for just under two months.

The sofa itself has already started to lose its shape because of the design in the hinges of the seated sofa, connecting to the back. The fabric has already shown signs of pilling, which makes it feel scratchy. (Our sofa is one used in the afternoons by our young son if he needs a bit of chill time, or a few family movie nights). The back cushions also sink and slip down the space where the sofa doesn't sit flat against the back.

The sofa bed itself - what a disaster. The fold-out design is easy, which is where the stars come for the review. The half of the mattress that is on the base is hard beyond any measure of comfort. The other half is reasonably comfortable; however, due to the fold, you roll into the base and sink in the middle. It's literally impossible for two people to sleep comfortably on this. We are investing in a mattress topper to try and see if we can make this more comfortable (More money spent).

And then there are the straps at the back that keep the base to the couch when folded out in the corners. They make being able to add a mattress topper or a top sheet void - you can't actually tuck anything under. Extremely frustrating, and the sheets just pull off when you're sleeping or watching a movie.

Koala did ring at one point to discuss our purchase; however, when I asked them to call back in 30 minutes, they never did. Since enquiring about the sleep trial, we have not heard anything from them at all. Crickets.

If you are buying this sofa for an unused space, where you may get a quick sleep on it once or twice a year, I'd say it's okay. For anything that actually needs to be functional, I'd avoid it. For the price, you could get a far nicer sofa/ sofa bed.

This chair is like Sydney Sweeney's cleavage. Looks amazing, is spacious and comfortable, and makes long term play sessions much easier, can easily fall asleep in it, and has enough places to rest your hands. Once experienced you will never go back.
