taste slightly better than the Vanilla both are on the low side of sweetness but doesn't make my insulin spike so i don't feel the need to eat afterwards.
I began this journey at 75 kg and maintained a daily calorie intake of 1,200. I’ve been having two shakes per day — one in the morning and one at lunch.
Within the first month, I lost 5 kg and have since lost an additional kilogram. I'm aiming to lose another 5 kg over the next month if I stay consistent.
I haven’t incorporated exercise so far; I’ve focused on keeping my calorie intake low and drinking around 2 liters of water daily. The shakes tend to make me thirsty, but they do a great job of keeping me full

Two or three stubborn kilos have crept on over the last few months and so I was keen to try a palatable low calorie-but-filling meal replacement option for evening meals on the nights when I'm looking for something other than my delicious home made soup.
In February last year I tried OptiSlim LCD Life Shakes but found that I actually gained weight, so they went into the bin!
So far I've found the IsoWhey Plant-Based Meal Replacement Shake to be quite ok when whizzed with 350 mls of low-fat lactose-free milk. There's a slightly grainy mouthfeel towards the end of the shake but otherwise the texture and flavour are pleasant enough. I should mention that since having these plant-based shakes I've been experiencing headaches, but I'm not sure if I can pinpoint the cause to this product just yet. Time will tell.
My husband has also tried the plant-based shake with almond milk (as suggested by the maker) and he reports that it's tasty and filling. Good to hear, as he's usually quite fussy with these things.
The IsoWhey Optimum VLCD Shake + Collagen is one that you blend with 200 mls of ice cold water. I'm enjoying the texture of this much better than the plant-based one. It's smoother, tastier and I would even go so far as to describe it as silky.
Early days yet and we're only having one a day here and there so I cannot report on any weight loss yet (or gain, hopefully not!). But I will update this piece in the fullness of time. No complaints thus far.
I'm having to change my review from 5 stars after discovering a major issue with this shake. Consumers are being grossly mislead by the packaging.… Read more
Front of pack says 15 meals and directions say 2 scoops per serve. I was having to reorder way more often than I expected, so weighed the scoops. Each scoop is actually over 40g rather than 28g, so consumer is using around 84g per serve - not 56g listed on the nutrition panel, 50% more than expected. Only 10 meals per pack and 1.5 times the expected kilojoules. Update: I contacted isowhey via their website before publishing this review, and it's been well over a week with zero response from the company.
