water. You don't need a lot of water either. Food retains colour and flavour. Great for boiled eggs too. I cook 8 at a time then keep in fridge for later use. The shell comes off easily too without sticking. Vegetables don't lose their colour. Potatoes are easy to cook. So glad we bought one.

which I bought from an online Chinese Home Appliances website called digicat. It has two steam trays, the steaming pans are constructed from 304 stainless steel and the included scraper helps with rolling rice noodles into rolls filled with different ingredients of choice. You can cook Chinese breakfasts such as steam buns. The most magical function that I made out with is the seafood steam with seafood flavor congee. Super handy electronic item.
