wear out so much faster they look old, it has damaged my blankets and throws. To me it is very rough and I am only using the delicate cycle now. It says it’s water efficient but at the cost of not properly washing the soap and softener out (not sure if all front loaders have the same problem). I always do an extra rinse cycle on every load to try and prevent this.
Other than those issues it’s not bad but I miss a top loader as it wasn’t damaging my clothes as much and it’s quicker.

So far, so good. Updated – Update, December 2025 We’ve now had the machine for 20 months, and could literally not be any happier. There’s a big range of cycle options- enough… Read more
to keep virtually anyone happy. The washing time is great- we mostly use cold water and a 49 minute cycle, as that typically does a great job. Occasionally we use other cycles all of which very work well depending on items being washed etc. Especially on cold wash, the machine is very power and water efficient. However if you have a big, dirty load there are heaps more options, and you can choose your water temp. There’s supposed to be a wifi connect option, but I didn’t see the need for it so haven’t tried it again- (first attempt on day one failed). Wifi strength in our laundry is certainly a bit iffy anyway. We occasionally use the automatic detergent dispenser, which works just fine - however my wife has gone back to adding detergent manually most of the time as she simply prefers that. Would we buy it again, (assuming it continues to be 100% reliable)? Absolutely yes, very happy with our purchase at this point.
Original review: We have had this machine for only two days, so I’d call this more “initial impressions” so far, rather than a full review. (It’s replaced a twelve or thirteen year old 7.5 kg LG front loader which was starting to regularly trip a circuit breaker, so not worth paying to attempt to repair. The old machine has done well, and done a lot of work!) We’ve done three loads of washing so far in the new Hisense 10kg front loader, and again, so far (ie: early days), my wife and I are very happy. I’ll update this review after a while. We liked the looks, the price, the features, the range of cycles, the water and power efficiency, and THREE years manufacturers warranty rather than the usual two, as with most other brands. There are a large range of cycles, with virtually all allowing options on temp and spin speed, and functionality includes UV for sterilisation, and steam, and auto detergent and softener dosing (which we will likely try later on).
Installation: dead easy, with four transit bolts to remove, one pressure water hose (cold water) to hook up, and one drain hose for the laundry tub. In my opinion, a good test is just diving straight in without reading the manual. My wife often struggles with “tech”, but had no trouble when she did this, and had NO trouble at all navigating around the controls. Once you set a particular cycle, you’ll get an initial rough time estimate and you can then adjust both water temp, and spin speed from the cycle defaults - not all speeds and temps are available on all cycles. (As with virtually ALL front loaders, some of the heavy wash cycles are quite lengthy, but you’d only need these for very heavily soiled items. Some cycles have up to 1500rpm spin, but we used the quick “49” min cycle initially for a load of four towels and four cushion covers, with a 800rpm speed. Results were excellent, and the towels etc came out needing only a very short line dry in the sun! At a wild guess, I’ll suspect we will use this cycle the most. (There’s also for example a very quick 15 min cycle.)
Whilst the first cycle was working away, I started reading the manual, and will hopefully finish that over the next day so I understand everything as well as possible, but initial impressions are that it’s all rather straight forward. Just one minor problem encountered at this stage: I’ve yet to succeed hooking up the wifi /app functionality, as the first attempt failed, (didn’t recognise the product bar code) so I’ll try again later, though that’s NOT a deal breaker, and certainly not a major reason why we bought the machine.

So quiet, washes really well, has an awesome app- Love it – Had to upgrade as our previous washing machine died, this washing machine is super quiet and very efficient. It looks really modern and the app is… Read more
very helpful and easy to use. It even has a setting for quick 15 mins or 30 mins when you only have a handful to wash. The app allows you to select all the settings you need to customize the wash, but also it has energy monitoring to let you know how much electricity your average wash uses. Very satisfied with it. Only loses one star because JBHIFI sold it to us with dents in both sides of the washing machine from transit- but it still works great.

having problems. The fabric softener is not dispensing at all, no matter which cycle I use. My clothes come out stiff and smelling bad, as if no softener was added. I contacted Hisense support and went through endless troubleshooting steps — clean this, try that, run a rinse cycle — only to be told they’ve “never heard of this issue before.” It’s clearly a known fault because many others online are reporting the exact same problem. Now they want to charge me to send a technician out, even though the machine is still under warranty. That’s completely unacceptable. A washing machine should last more than a few months without issues, and customer support should stand behind their product instead of making the customer jump through hoops. Very disappointed with both the product and the service. I would not recommend Hisense washing machines to anyone.

of when it will be fixed. Have been without a washer for a month and looks like it's going to be 3 more weeks. Very poor response time from the service department. I'll never buy Hisense anything again. I'll go with whirlpool they apparently have a better service department and quicker parts.

FO3 is the error message on my machine (HWFS8514E) that I'm needing help. I rang last week to get someone to come out and have a look at my machine… Read more
as i was told it was a blockage. I was told the model no. will be on the door-WHAT! I can't open the door I told the CSO and she said she couldn't help until I had this info and hung up. I thought I might be able to release valve on the bottom right. I had buckets and towels ready thinking if I can get the water out, the door will open and I can get the model no. - this didn't happen but more washing did. So now I have a door that won't open up with washing in it plus now more washing. I rang back pleading to find another way to get my trapped wet clothes out. The 2nd CSO started nice starting a rapport with me.i explained the situation and she can help open the door with a knife. I asked her if something happens to my door am I covered? She wasn't sure. She said sometimes they put the model no. on the back. I advised her that it was a stacker so it was going to take a bit of time because it is heavy. The CSO became frustrated as I was going over 1/2hr with my problem so she also said that she couldn't help and had to go. I'm in tears now (which no customer should never be) I located the invoice and rang back for a 3rd time. I was given a name of the people that do the repairs but they weren't happy as apparently they had told you several times they don't work with you anymore. I then rang back to tell you this and was told I this was the first time they had heard of this. I now been directed to another repairer which would be great, however, you have sent me a message telling me that it will take 2 weeks to get a part in for my repair (FO3) so this will make it 3 weeks since I first asked for help. I would like if you can to reply to this review as I'm so angry.
