Overpriced with lots of issues – I bought this brand thinking it was a "premium" brand, only to find out it can't even compare to my previous Matador I bought from Bunnings. The… Read more

burners keep turning off, and all the print around the knobs and on the front fascia is coming off. It is also difficult to keep clean. I will never purchase another Beefeater or let anyone I know get one.

Very disappointed and unsafe – All the markings around the dials have worn away. The burners have flames burning unevenly. Flames coming out from end of burners. When trying to start burner large flame comes out of front of BBQ. Very dangerous.  Show details

Euro for the five burners. I complained with bbq australia and they said they can't help. Moreover, last night there was a strong smell of gas around the bbq. I left one handle on by mistake and the safety auto block system that should block the flow of gas if there is non flame didn't work! For me Its really a terrible expensive and dangerous product.

Update on 1st review and so far so good – Purchased Beefeater 1500 series 4 burner Dec 2023 for Christmas for hubby. We've used it 4 times as a BBQ... sausages, steaks, chicken skewers etc… Read more

and extremely happy with the results. Also used it as an oven to cook 2 large trays of vegetable medley and cooked to perfection on Christmas day and everyone was suitably impressed. Also it is easy to clean.... Well that's what the hubby said and I believe him. He's not big on cleaning!! Our BBQ is under cover so can't comment on the elements of the weather and it's effects on the unit.

This is how a BBQ should be – I have had my Beef Eater Outdoor Kitchen with BBQ & Side Burner for about 4 months now and trust me it has had a good working over. I would use this… Read more

BBQ weekly which is not hard because I love the functionality and ease of cleaning.

I have had plenty of other portable BBQ's and most of them work OK but you end up with a cleaning nightmare or flare ups, especially as I like to use the grill when cooking any steaks. But this BBQ has eliminated the flare up with its unique fat trapment system which is incorporated into the grill design. Shear brilliance?

This is the only BBQ I ever had to turn down the controls because the heat it was pumping out was too much.

I have not noticed any hot spot areas as the plates are a good quality cast iton and nice and thick which certainly helps distribute the heat evenly.

Even the side burner can now be used for stir fry's.....this is my first ever BBQ which has a decent side burner and gives off plenty of wok heating temperature.

Over xmas I slow roasted a 5.5 kg shoulder pork (which took 4 hours) and I must say I have never seen crackling as good as this before. The entire roast from top to bottom had beautiful crackling, needless to say it didn't last long between 9 people. I am even considering in retiring the Webber after this result.

Overall this is a great BBQ with a beautiful looking surround. It does what it is supposed to do and then more. Beef Eater is on a winner with this setup...THANKS

Great BBQ – This is a great BBQ, easy to keep clean and regulates heat well. To all the negative reviews about the coating, maybe read the manual first "To… Read more

protect the steel cooking surface during transport and prior to purchase, a non-permanent and non-toxic coating is applied. This coating will wear off in time with use". The only thing I would do better is a more heavy duty legs, although does the job no problem. Another thing is the holder for the fat catch can easily comes off when taking off vinyl bbq cover, which can cause contents to spill if not careful. Otherwise excellent

Poor design filled with flaws – This model leaks BBQ fat as the catch tray is flawed by design. I had to remove a build up of fat inside the enclosure next to where the gas bottle… Read more

sits. I examined the design and so many flaws could have been prevented by simply making adjustments, it’s simply a bad design. The cover that conceals the dials is also flawed by design as the placement of the rubber stoppers don’t do a single thing to prevent contact (metal to metal). The burners produce uneven heat as I have my chrome covers glowing red hot in a particular area, even on low heat you can visibly see the flawed and uneven heat distribution. This was a regretful purchase and if I can help others not to make the same mistake. Stay away from this model, I have the 4 burner model but I can only assume that the 3 and 5 burner models are all flawed too.

Having had a stand alone Beefeater BBQ previously that fell to bits through rust and was impossible to clean, I swore I would never have another one.… Read more

And yet here I am 2.5 years into a new house that came with a BeefEater 5 burner barbecue built in. It hadn't been turned on before we moved in and despite being in an undercover outdoor kitchen, out of the weather and very infrequently used, two of the burners are virtually rusted out, the frame is rusting out and even the logo has peeled off. Yet again, it's virtually impossible to keep clean - one of the reasons it's used so little. Despite having an impressive five burners and what appears to be a large cooking area, once you pull it apart you realize that if you barbecue anywhere near the back third of the grill space or the front quarter, all you're doing is melting fat over the internal frame which pools and creates a cleaning disaster. When oh when will somebody who actually cleans a product be involved in designing it? At the very least, I would expect a barbecue designed for Australian conditions and for outdoor use to not rust. Or at least not rust for around 5 years. Very disappointing Beefeater BBQs. Do better.
