remote). Yes it's fantastic . Replaced our Masport gas (NZ) of 26 years due to small broken part we could not get a spare. Firstly though we had the smallest Illusion (Oz) gas freestanding installed but fan was so noisy and could not turn it off, they couldn't fix the problem, so whole fire removed under guarantee . Regency very quiet even with low fan on. We only seem to need the whole thing on low to throw out the heat . Also Fireplaces WA in North Perth were very helpful and easy to purchase from and get it installed .

It’s perfect for the winter months, kept our home nice and warm. And being able to just close the door and know it’s safe to burn out while we go to bed is great for peace of mind.

large window. The fan is a nice extra although we rarely use it as it pumps enough heat without it. We bought it as it came with good reviews both online and in-store and the fact that it was designed and manufactured in Canada was a big plus.

of the time. retailer was good at POS customer service from regency was poor and when pushed to help us he offered out of good will to pay some $$ toward the cost of a repair man.

expectations, as this is fireplace is not meant to be a whole house warmer. Heats our 100sqm space fine (with 2.7 ceilings) without any of the extra ducting . Does burn through the wood pretty fast, and does require a bit of glass cleaning (even when using good quality dried wood). Purchased from Mr Stoves in Brisbane who were good. We had a few issues with installation, but they all got sorted once we let the guys know. You just cant beat seating on the couch with that great wood fire place warmth, and the crackle and smell of the wood.

on the edge, the rope joint on the window is uneven. I suggest Regency to set a quality control department and hire qualified people to conduct quality check on every single unit. For a 7,000+AUD unit, this is the expectation from a consumer’s position. I do not recommend. Zero star.
