pretty but far from perfect. Needed replacing after 3 years – unreliable looks amazing. takes a lot to heat an average room. very loud always cutting out and not reigniting rendering it unusable for the rest of the time. retailer was good at POS customer service from regency was poor and when pushed to help us he offered out of good will to pay some $$ toward the cost of a repair man. Show details

Where are installers and company to sort out issues? – We have barely used our heater and now when need, its not working. In these 3 and a half years failed few times regarding pairing with remote. This time is not pairing, cant reset, just nothing. Spoke to installer said maybe electrical. How come that you spend $6,500 for heater that has been used barely 50 times for this period? Second problem is… Read more

installer who claims first there is warranty and tgen ,there is no warranty on those parts. Wush that someone can come and have a look issue. Small number of installers is a problem who let us hang in the air for so long and no response. It is disgrace and shame that there is no much help outhere. Yes there has been loss of power too due to the bad weather. Not abke to use mine now for 2 months. All I can see is responding texts from Regency reps but honestly its not good enough. At this stage not value for money at all!

No where near powerful enough – First winter using this heater. Our lounge room is 30m2 and doesnt even warm up with the doors closed. Had the 'Heaterman' (Company that installed the product) come out as I thought it was a definite warranty issue. They told me the gas pressure is perfect and that this is how the heater performs. The flames look absolutely nothing like the… Read more

pictures on the regency website. I would never purchase from this company again. My K-Mart heater for $30 heats up the room better.

Looks good, doesn't heat – I bought GF900L and this is second winter we are using it. It just doesn't do the job it is supposed to do. It was sold to me as a heater that can heat about 100 m2. I have 60 m2 and it still doesn't heat it. I sit about 3 metres from it with 3 layers of clothes on and I am still not warm enough. In contrast, my daughter just installed a… Read more

Jetmaster. She paid similar amount to what I paid, has a bigger area to heat and the heater does a wonderful job. My advice is, do yourself a favour and buy anything but Regency.

Regency GF900L (C for coals, L for logs) – We bought the heater 3 years ago but have only used it for the last 2 years. It was working beautifully until the beginning of June when all of a sudden it stopped working. The supplier was saying that they had not heard from Regency for a few weeks so could not confirm the status of my claim. However after I posted a Q&A on this site I was in… Read more

direct contact with Regency and they agreed to look at it straight away. Within 2 days they sent a technician who not only fixed the heater but got it looking and running better than when we bought it. The heater easily warms up our living/dining/kitchen area. This has restored my faith in Regency, now they need to improve the service time with the suppliers.

Regency GF 900 Greenfire, very average – We have found this fire disappointing as far as heat delivery is concerned. Yes it looks and flames nicely but considering the cost of the package it does not deliver in the heat department. The area we are heating is only 80 m 2 so it should get nice and hot on high you would think. Additionally the wall just above the heater is too hot to touch so you wonder if much of the heat is escaping.  Show details

Poor performance – Very disappointing purchase, after providing the house plans and required heating area, the agent for Regency Fires recommended a model GF900C fireplace, this would easily heat up to 90m2 comfortably, the fire looked great and was perfect for our main family living area, we also decided to go with the optional ducting to 2 other areas of the house… Read more

to help distribute the heat evenly and quicker. Well, what a disappointment this has been. We had the fire installed and commissioned in May 2017, we voiced our concerns that the heat output was very low, and were questioning when the ducting would be installed, hoping this would make a difference. We waited until July 2017 to get the ducting installed, it is now coming into October, and they are still trying to fix the problems. The ducting made no difference whatsoever. Main issue is poor heating capability and massive gas bill's. At first the fire was constantly on high, and could not get above 19.5 deg C (on the thermostat?). We were still sitting around the living room with blankets on, and having to use electric heating in other areas of the home (where the ducting was). After receiving the gas bill, we resorted to leaving it off. Whilst it looks great. $10,000 dollars for a 'pretty' fire that doesn't heat our room is a massive disappointment. We have waited all winter to get this fixed, and we are now approaching the warmer months of the year, and still have a product that doesn't work. We are still in negotiations with the supplier for a resolution???
