still going strong. Since my initial purchase, I bought replacement blades, each blade set lasts around 12 months. Replacement blades are readily available.
The shaver works very well, always does a great job and is easy to use. I use it every day and it has not stopped working once. Many people compliment me on how well my head is shaved.
If it did stop working, I would buy another one. It is great value.

1970's shavers were way better – The box is wonderfully presented. Every detail explicitly explained and expanded on. By the time you've finished reading it, you believe you could… Read more
perform open heart surgery...LOL. It says it's Virtually Indestructible. Quite apparently the test team didn't give one to an eight year-old to try out! It's 2023, and yet they can't make a shaver that can cut effectively without the razor burn. I'm 75 now and this is the first time I've had razor burn. The cutting blades are not up to the job. Either poor quality steel, or poor design; take your pick. Plus, the speed of the blades is too slow, IMO. One has to go over the various sections a half dozen times (at least) to get an acceptable finish. The top lip can't be done well at all, & I don't have a heavy beard. Very disappointing over-all. Now get this, I bought and el-cheapo of eBay. A four inch long, cylindrical job, for $7. It's a single blade/cutter. It cuts way better than the Remington. I'm glad I got it on special at Big W for $63, but I'll be going back to shaving with a blade and oil. A sincerely regrettable purchase.

whiskers, that my old Remington had "failed" to remove over the last weeks due to the foil & cutters being badly worn. It runs & cuts alot quieter and slower than my last old Remington F4900AU, but still gives a very good & clean shave. This is my 4th Remington now purchased over the last 40 years.

Probably 3 stars on the device, but bumped to a 4 star due to bang for buck value. I'm a long time electric razor user. It wasn't until my Remington… Read more
RS8503 3 foil shaver finally gave up the ghost after 35+ yrs of semi regular use, that I was forced to buy another shaver. The old shaver was a reliable thing, 3 close shaving foils, a pop up full width trimmer, perfect in the hand fit, the head shape reasonably svelte allowing even some foil based edge marking and trimming along the goatee line. The new razor had a lot to live up to.
I ended up buying the Remington F7 Style, 3 foil shaver, largely because it was a Remington, looked to have most of my old shaver's features and because it was at a decent price (have you seen the price of some shavers on offer these days?).
The pros - It does the expected job, surprisingly no better than my old shaver so it's not like the foils and cutters have improved over the years, but the shave is acceptably close. The foils are flexible. If the stubble isn't long, it powers through a reliable shave in quick time. It is somewhat of a different fit in the hand due to the long "handle" but the back of the handle is rubberised, so with a small grip adjustment it stays reasonably well positioned. It has a pop up trimmer. It has a stubble trimmer attachment that fits over the foils (not keen to give that a go though). It is cordless. Price point was excellent. The LED battery level indicator is clear and it seems that the battery will deliver the advertised 80mins of shaving per charge - at least while the battery is fresh.
The cons - it has an "intercept trimmer" between the first and second foils which is completely useless and means that the shaving head is "fatter" than 3 foils. If this had been relocated to one side like on my old shaver, it would have been a perfectly capable and usable trimmer. The pop up trimmer is about 25mm wide and in a difficult location to use effectively. It is cordless which means that at some point the battery capacity will fade (planned obsolescence?) The sides of the shaver aren't rubberised (like the old shaver) so can be harder to grip. The shaving head is much wider at the base than at the foils which obscures the vision slightly making it somewhat harder to judge when using a foil for edging the goatee line.
Not perfect but functional and adequate.
Maybe I should have splashed out for one of those more expensive shavers?!

shower or with shaving gel / cream and that there is a turbo button which gives extra power when needed. It didn't irritate the skin when shaving but I did apply after shave balm when I was finished. The x7 Limitless gives as close a shave as you could get without using a razor blade with the safety benefit of not being able to cut yourself. Highly recommended especially for people who don't have a steady enough hand to use a razor for one reason or another. It's also quite clean as all the trimmed hairs go in to the machine and you just empty it when done so you don't have clippings flinging all over the bathroom.
Purchased one of these from the shaver shop after having Phillips shavers over the years. I have had it for 3 months and just threw it in the bin. This is rubbish you get exactly what you pay for. Show details

MThs and I am down to less than 1 week. I understood you were going to get a status of of the battery life but no, it works then stops. I think as a product the shavers with a popup trimmer are better. With the remington the trimmer is seperate. Also the carry case when travelling, when you would use the travel case is far too big to be practical. and like I say the shave itself is just ordinary for what I believe is a premium product.
