We bought this DeLonghi toaster as a direct replacement for the one we’d had for years, expecting the same quality—but it’s been really… Read more
disappointing. It takes about twice as long to toast, cooks very unevenly, and we’ve already had issues with one side not staying down properly.
Honestly, the build quality feels like it’s gone downhill. As a side note, we’re noticing the same thing with the DeLonghi kettle we replaced at the same time after installing our new kitchen.
Based on this experience, I’d be hesitant to recommend this brand anymore.

the bread is placed in. Now, 2 days ago the lever to hold the toast down suddenly failed. I had a look to see if I could locate the fault, BUT the type of screws used are completely unknown to me. In other words they are screws to 'trash me off'. I do not want to throw away expensive items (I paid $110)! I try to fix things rather than buy new. But obviously Delonghi does not want you to fix their item - if that is the case, I will purchase a cheap K-Mart one instead.
I did offer to speak with a Delonghi representative to resolve this issue. To date there has been… Read more (+1 reply)

icons completely melted off. I contacted DeLonghi support and their response was:
I understand your concern. The numbers on the toaster fading or wearing off is not considered normal from a functionality perspective, but it is generally classified as cosmetic wear rather than a manufacturing fault, as it does not affect the performance or operation of the appliance.
I’ve sent through a reference image via email to help you identify the browning settings in the meantime.
De’Longhi will honour the warranty for any manufacturing faults that impact the use of your appliance. However, changes to the exterior—such as fading or wear of printed numbers after the initial 30 days—are considered cosmetic and are not covered under the replacement warranty.
Cosmetic changes can occur due to environmental factors, including (but not limited to):
General wear and tear from regular household use Exposure to direct sunlight or heat from nearby appliances Cleaning with certain chemicals or products That said, we can certainly arrange for the appliance to be assessed. Please note that if the issue is found to be non-manufacturing, service and assessment fees may apply.

have to flip the outside of the toast to the inside to cook it properly. Also, it burns on the lowest number. You might get a nice toast the first time but the next time it burns. Horrible product!! If you pay retail on this ($179 - outrageous) you are mad.
