Bought the matching toaster and kettle set because I liked the simple design and they were in a reasonable price range. Unfortunately, I've had… Read more

problems with the toaster.

It looks great but doesn't always toast evenly and I'm about to return my second one because after 8 months a fault has developed and it trips the electrical circuit in the house. The first one lasted 8 months, and now the second one has done the same thing, again at 8 months.

I'll be getting a different brand of toaster, that doesn't match my kettle now.

An update from my previous review... The toaster took so long to toast to even just a light brown that after a couple of impatient months it became… Read more

relegated to our caravan where it has seen occasional use whilst we were on holiday. After maybe a dozen uses in the caravan the left two toast slots stopped working and with great relief I chucked it out. What a shame, Russell Hobbs used to sell quality products but this toaster, in my opinion, is rubbish and I'll never buy a Russell Hobbs product again.

Purchased this toaster at The Good Guys on 11th August. Spent days trying to get a decent slice of toasted bread. It would either toast one side and… Read more

burn the other, or toast one side and the other was still white. Tried every setting and in between settings. The specs also claimed "extra deep slots, no bread left untoasted". We were using standard Woolworths bread and the centering cage only just covered it so I would hate to see what would happen with larger slices. Very disappointed. Returned it yesterday full a full refund. Will continue with my old 2 slice toaster for now. At least it toasts both sides.

Everything you need in a toaster – This toaster has everything I was looking for in a toaster. It toasts the slices evenly on both sides. The slots are wide allowing for thicker bread… Read more

if desired. It doesn’t take long to toast. The ombré look is also aesthetically pleasing. The bottom tray can be easily removed to dispose of crumbs. It does take up a lot of room on the bench as it is on the larger side but it looks good so not a bother for me.

Interesting and useful toaster with one major failing and insanely expensive Does a brilliant job with thick and long bread Useful and easy to use… Read more

controls with a visual bib indicator of the progress and allows you to pop up the toast to see how it’s going and continue when it has not been toasted enough yet

The browning dual isn’t very well done, very small numbers and a big gap between the numbers so with some settings you can’t actually see a digit and you have to turn the dial to see which numbers it is between

Very high-powered at 1600W which means it toast a very quickly, but one reviewer doesn’t like the fact that you end up with bread in the middle of the toast. I personally prefer that sort of toast

The choice review says that it doesn’t do multigrain toast very well but they tested it with soy and linseed bread. It toasts multigrain toast fine and that is the bread I always use

Major flaw is that the two sides of the bread are toasted completely differently. Easy to get around that problem by setting the browning level at half wham you need and reversing the bread halfway through but you shouldn’t have to do that

Not easy to get in Australia but you can buy it on amazon.au and it’s delivered from Germany. Not cheap delivery but I got it delivered for free for some reason, not clear why and I am not on Amazon prime

Stupidly expensive compared with the cheapest toasters and it’s not clear how long it will last but it does have a three year warranty if you register it in the UK to get an extra one year on the two year warranty

Like most people, I thought Russell Hobbs was a good brand but this toaster is useless. The bread, no matter what shape, comes out un-toasted in the… Read more

centre and burnt at the edges. The settings dial seems to only differentiate between not cooked, partly cooked or burnt. Life's too short for bad toast, so this is destined for the metal recyclers.

marathon, and maybe have a nap and STILL not have to worry about it being overly toasted. Or for those who don't speak sarcasm, even on the longest setting, it still barely toasts. We literally have to push the lever down empty, let it go through a cycle, then put a piece of bread in it. Even then, it's only lightly toasted. Anything less and it's just warm bread. We always use normal, regular sliced bread so it's not due to it being too thick. Just a horrible product so, thankfully I bought it on sale.
