supporting evidence. Assembly Services Australia (ASA) which IKEA arranged to do the installation, would not even take my calls or provide an email for me to send details of my complaint.
IKEA said that I must have caused the damage! - unbelievable.
It took a complaint to Consumer Affairs (CA) and the threat of VCAT for IKEA to eventually accept responsibility.
My advice is go to CA after what I assume is IKEA's standard initial refusal to do the right thing, then go straight to VCAT if still no resolution. Dont waste months like I did, in assuming I was dealing with a company that cares about its customers. Better yet, dont buy anything from them at all.
(nice little add on - I also got asked to review the 50 individual items (shelves etc) that made up the 2 wardrobes... almost comical)
IKEA Musken
My granny flat went from no storage to having loads of storage in a matter of hours! – I recently moved into a granny flat that had absolutely no storage besides a couple of cupboards in the kitchen. No laundry/linen cupboard, no pantry… Read more
and nowhere to put my clothes. After spending hours on the internet, going from furniture shop to shop and spending several hours at IKEA, I settled on the Musken wardrobe because of the amount of storage it had, it looked easy to assemble and because it had this "old" look that would suit my old granny flat.
I bought 2 wardrobes, they fit in the Hyndaui Iload van easily and took 4 hours to assemble in total. Instructions were easy to follow. I recommend reading them from start to finish, before starting to assemble so you have a rough idea of how it all goes together. Don't get ahead of yourself.
I am really happy with the quality. The doors and drawers are working really well and they haven't gotten stuck or bowed. The wardrobe comes with optional shelves, I left them out so I could hang long dresses. I think for the amount of storage you get, it's an absolutely bargain. The only downside is that they look like they would be difficult to pull apart and move to the next rental, so I will probably leave them and sell them to the future tenant. If you move a lot and don't have the man power or a trailer, then look for something else. If you're staying somewhere long term, then this is your wardrobe.
Excellent – We agree, we are renovating our house and we had come across this FEG Ward robe System from Italy on the internet after some research. It is actually… Read more
from a company called Salvarani in Italy, but they have just opened a showroom in Australia in Brookvale, Sydney about 4 months ago ( [url censored] ), the product is on display if anyone lives nearby (they also do some great looking kitchen designs). It looks fantastic and can be dressed up or down according to your budget and size, the photos we found on their website only show the larger more glamorous versions. This is not the boring cheaper robes out there, but definately the best value for money for the stylish look and flexibility you get in the end. We have fitted 2 wardrobes; ours (large) and eldest daughter (never large enough) and we could not be happier with the Salvarani service in the showroom, wardrobes were fitted in under 4 weeks which was a bonus. We picked the white one with smoked mirror panels...I think Lincoln Century is an agent that sells to some cabinetmakers but they were no help when I rang them, but now that Salvarani are here selling direct themselves we found it easy to design and order as they knew their stuff. Belisimo! Very flexible to configure to room size. Shelves can actually be reconfigured after installation as the wardrobe demand changes. Well built and Italian design. Very stylish and we found it the best value for money for the price. Only suits walk-in robe situations. Apparently its also now an excuse for wife and daughter to buy more shoes and utilise the space!!
Excellent – Easy to assemble. Strong, sturdy cot. Looks very nice. Arrived very quickly!
Beautiful – I searched in multiple places for the perfect wardrobe for my new room. I found so many that had heaps of drawers but little hanging space. Some were… Read more
ridiculous prices for a small wardrobe. I found this beauty at IKEA website- it had everything I wanted. Lots of hanging space - a little more than I wanted to pay, however, it's exactly what I needed. The only problem was the instructions (apparently) - I didn't put this together, but I was told the instructions were only photos & no English - except "phone IKEA" if there's a problem. It looks amazing. It's exactly what I wanted, the photos online are exactly how it looks. Highly recommend - BUT - expect a lot of "bits & pieces" to put it together. 13 boxes of "stuff" altogether - The courier who delivered was excellent IKEA out did themselves My suggestion is to do something about the instructions - most people need some words, I was lucky, I had someone who knows how to assemble items & didn't divorce me in the process (lol) as long as you read the instructions of photos, have patience, I'd recommend IKEA COLOUR: Is a slightly off white - it's a dark room. Not as bright as the white in ad, which I really didn't want. I bought a bed - and mattress (mattress delivery a nightmare- still haven't got that delivery) from other sellers- which I'm doing feedback on here.
I highly recommend this wardrobe; it looks & feels like quality. Cost: $1,169.00 total (including delivery) as you can see, the lighting makes it look darker- when putting together, you can see how white it actually is. It's not "too white" - which is brilliant. I'm very happy

missing. Also when we came to do the doors we found out the doors had no screw holes and no where on the instruction sheet it had that we would have to have a screw driver handy. We then go to put the doors on and cant. Every time we actually think we've got it screwed in the door falls off. Don't buy from Super Amart at all they are just horrid especially for the price they make you pay for their things.

this is how we make them is the response from management. I suggest you take out drawers at showroom and study well. Yes not common practise..but a suggestion. Then you may possibly walk away and agree the best decision you will ever make.

storage space by a great measure, and nicer fabric material. In comparison this item is overpriced and does not suit the function of storing clothes. Purchased online and incorrectly assumed they would all be the same. And thought being more expensive if anything’s would be better but unfortunately I was wrong.
The package cannot be assembled to look anything like the advertising picture – The package I received could not be assembled to look anything like the advertising picture. There were useless parts and many important parts were missing. I have attached the advertising picture and the best I could do with what I received.
