I just had Simon down to check our carriage light. He was so helpful and knowledgeable about the situation and he also gave me helpful information about our power board altogether l would recommend Simon for the job.

stress trying to remedy the situation. I've attached some photos to showcase some of the damage.

We booked them to replace 3 light fittings and 1 socket after reading the positive reviews. The porch light was installed loosely on an angle and the toilet light fell off within 24 hours. They fiddled around for 2 hours and the attending electrician [Name Removed] spent the majority of times on site prancing around cracking jokes and left his apprentice out to do all the work. After reporting the concerns to 181, they sent a 3rd electrician to repair their initial work and we thought that has to be it, but NO.

It turns out, they moved our porch roof tile and left it open. We did not realise until the whole eave was soaking wet after 6 months. Rain water has been pouring directly on live wiring into the lamp. By the time we found out, the entire socket was rusted through and water has seeped into our living room ceiling. From that point on, we started a long stressful journey of chasing and coordinating repairs, with the owner [Name Removed] avoiding being present. He offered no apology and left his staff to deal with it.

As part of the repair, the mouldy asbestos eave sheets covered in debris had to be removed. The removal company they appointed brutely smashed the asbestos sheets to pieces and scattered debris all over our porch and windows with no wipe up. We were left with the clean up work and ended up with respiratory irritation afterwards. Their builder failed to spot repair the water stains on our living room ceiling and we were told the whole ceiling needs to be repainted which wasn't part of his job. As such, we requested a refund from 181 to compensate us for putting our family at fire risks, hours we had to take off work, stress and anxiety, asbestos dust exposure, and now the tail end jobs (ceiling repaint, eave paint smears etc) we'll have to pay for and do ourselves. We half expected them to offer it as it's the bare minimum, but were given a firm no. [Name Removed] screamed and hang up the phone on us as we decided to follow up after they stopped responding to emails. It was the first and only time we spoke with him. He showed no empathy, owned up to nothing, and insulted us verbally. Some of his staff are decent people which is probably where the good reviews came from, but he himself evidently has a different standard. Unless he changes his attitude and mind, we'll have no choice but to take the matter further up.

I strongly suggest that you pay a bit more and go elsewhere. It's not worth putting your family, property and mental health at risk. If you do employ them, you'd better hope nothing goes wrong.

fixing my problem Jordan informed me of different things in my unit that are outdated and need replacing. He promptly arranged for quotes to be forwarded. Jordan was so lovely, polite and knowledgable.

helped me out over the phone – Friday afternoon my power went out. not the lights just the plug-in wall circuits. I had grid connected solar as well so the electrical box was looking a bit different to me. Liam was great he didn’t have anyone who could come out before closing so he talked me through trouble shooting the problem and we got it sorted over the phone. he was friendly, polite, and very calm. ATROCIOUS CONDUCT – We called [Name Removed] from 181 electrical to fix a metre box door that was coming off its hinges. Although he was a very pleasant person, he provided an exorbitant quote of almost $8000 just to replace the household metre box. they had theirs done… for half that price. However we needed to delay this job for several months due to requiring a more immediate expense. Despite giving several weeks notice of cancelling, which was just for the time being, this disgraceful rogue company attempted to charge us $2500 cancellation fee!! Then unable to quantify his costing he dropped the cancellation fee by approximately $2000. Still not able to justify the new invoice he began crazy behaviour, relentlessly utilising exhorting techniques to obtain $500 via threats and harassment. We are absolutely stunned and repulsed by such unprofessional revolting bullying behaviour and would never recommend dealing with this person nor his company.
