Purchased this machine from the good guys in june 2022 after a couple of months the pump started leaking, contacted haier and was told it would be about 3 weeks before a service person could attend so though it was to long put up with water on the tiles ,one month out of warranty the pump failed ,haier said it would pay for parts but I had $170… Read more

call out fee ,it lasted just over a year then it would not stop going out of balance, told again by haier it would pay for parts but I was responsible for call out fee So now it can't be used so bought a new machine. Seems a common problem

The most problematic washing machine I’ve ever had. We purchased this 2 years ago, and within 3 months the machine started to smoke and catch fire. We had it replaced under warranty, and the next machine lasted 12 months. We thought the first one might’ve just been a dud. Lo and behold, after 12 months the second machine started doing the same… Read more

thing. Still thankfully under warranty, we had it inspected but the electrician couldn’t find much. She decided to replace all internal motors anyway to be safe, and found one had completely seized when she went to replace it. Said this could be the issue and burning smell. Upon having all the parts replaced, it lasted 3 washes before smoking again, two days after getting it back. Sent it back into the shop, couldn’t find anything, they ran it over 20 times trying to recreate the problem. They gave it back, we had it for another 2 weeks working fine, and then smoking AGAIN. I’ve taken videos this time so hopefully we get a replacement or at least a refund. I’m over the back and forth. Do not recommend.

I wish I had been more vocal with follow up complaints after they send m sent out a technician to resolve a problem regarding dirty dust lines left on clothes. It got better then started happening again. Cleaning it is a NIGHTMARE, so many little niches that collect dirt and dust. I have to clean filters with a toothbrush and a q tip and they're… Read more

still not properly clean. The slots that the filters fit in are impossible to clean and around the top is a ridge that collects dirt. I clean my machine with appropriate product on hot monthly as instructed. The filthy filter slot is two weeks since last clean. I do wash heavy work clothes once per week. The good points, it's quiet and spins really well

It's ok – Good points - Big enough to wash a king doona. Fairly quiet. Doesn't seem to have affected the water bill too much. Has an express cycle starting at 30 minutes but only for a small wash and even then I think it's actually more than 30min. Spin is very good. Doesn't seem to be drawing power when the cycle stops. No lights are on. It's a top loader… Read more

which is better for me as a long term ease of access. Bad points - You can't see how deep the water fills unless you stand around and wait for it and then unlock the machine. I understood it's a safety measure. But the instructions should explain average litres and I can't see that they do. The dial to choose the wash should be first or on the left...unless it's built for left handed people which is fine. Soak option is 3 hours long with no options for less. It did seem to do a good job but good luck getting anything bulky dried on a winters day... Hygiene cycle says 75 minutes and it worked for the first load - a king doona so I put a second one on because we have sickness in the house and it's been 3 hours...Not happy because nothing is going to dry on a winters afternoon at 3:30 pm! All dark clothes and sheets come out of the wash marked with something so that they are dirtier than when they went in. And I use liquid wash for darks. And the lint catchers are emptied and cleaned. Would I recommend this machine...I don't know.

129 volts, washer lid is live. Have to discard machine. Otherwise, we loved it – 3yrs and five months old. Sterling performance. But got a tingle from lid so ran multimeter over it. 20 to 30 volts ac. But when closing lid it suddenly jumped to 129 volts. Checked my neutral to earth household circuit in case that was the problem but it was fine, under one volt. By the way all the reviews about this little machine underperforming were wrong. But cannot overlook this dangerous fault. Show details

COMPACT and QUIET – COMPACT and Quiet..Purchased this machine to replace my old Simpson kg and was impressed by its ease of use and how quiet it is. No central agitator so i dont know how effective it is moving water around as you cant open lid without pressing the pause button. Time will tell how long it lasts but so far so good. Show details

Follow-up  · Had this washing machine for over a year now and no problems at all and its easy to clean and access the lint filters. Seems to clean clothes well and its easy to use. So far so good.

Average operation – Comparing new Haier to a year 2000 Hoover upright washing machine which it replaces. First the not so good - - Doesn't rinse clothes well and leaves them soapy. I believe this is because the machine doesn't spin after the main wash cycle to extract the soapy water (unlike the old Hoover). It simply fills up with fresh water (which mixes with the… Read more

soapy clothes) before entering the final spin. Haier need to improve this aspect which wouldn't be hard. - Clothes are left with white streaks especially dark materials. - Doesn't spin the clothes well which tend to be excessively damp post spin unlike to 20yo Hoover which did a great spin. The good - - quiet efficient operation. - Compact and washes lots of clothes relevant to its dimensions.

All up not as good as 20yo Hoover.

Would give two and a half-stars if that was an option. Of note: Reviews on this site appear much more realistic than the retailer listed reviews which are way too complimentary and appear to be filtered.

4 Years Old And Still Going Strong – This has been just the perfect little washing machine, 4 years old and still runs just like the day i first bought it, It does about 3 to 4 washes a week and it's never become unbalanced like some other reviews say, even with 6 full size bath towel it doesn't struggle at all. It doesn't have a fabric softener dispenser but that doesn't bother me,… Read more

i just use a laundry detergent with built in fabric softener. The only negative about this machine is the automatic water level system is pretty useless, it never sets it any higher then medium, even with the 6 full size bath towels it still thinks it only needs medium water level, so i just manually set it to maximum water level, no big deal i just have to press one more button before i start it. I've just had it serviced and the only sign of wear was the main drive belt becoming slightly stretched, a new drive belt every 4 years is more then acceptable for me. If your after a non frills washing machine that just washes clothes i can't recommend this machine highly enough. One very happy customer.

Update: 7 years old now and still going strong, just had second service done and same thing as last time 3 years ago, only the drive belt needed replacing again, very happy.

Small but useful top loader – Bought a washing machine. Top loader under $500. Handles up to 7kg load. Not a big nor heavy machine. Simple to operate. Nothing fancy. No dispenser for fabric softener but not a biggie. 2 star energy rating with 3,5 star water rating. 2 year warranty. Cycle times vary from 10 to 54 min in the 6 wash Cycle. No Hand Wash feature. will do the same. Can vary Spin times from 9 to 3 min. Water Level from Max through High, Mid and Low. Temp can be Hot, Warm or Cold. Has a Key Lock facility.

Has Dry Drum feature to prevent mildew growing in the tub. Not tried it yet as no need atm.

Lint remover on the small side. 2. 3 washes tops before emptying.

Washes clothes and linen well, but then I use a qualify wash powder, quality bleach quality detergent booster in the Warm cycle. I don't do heavy duty washing; this is not an industrial washing machine pet se.

No middle agitator to tangle the washing. Just have to distribute the washing evenly to avoid imbalance, as that automatically stops machine to prevent damage.

Hose fittings seem to be all fine atm with no leaks.

Hope to get many years of use from this appliance.

Machine is quiet and looks sleek. Lint filters are really ineffective in capturing pet hair (they don't) and automatic water level is not good at getting correct water needed for heavier jumpers etc. Otherwise good all rounder machine. Show details

Small size, big performer – This model is a smallish washing machine but it punches above its weight. Great features including small, medium, large or max wash loads (saving water), the timing is good although the "max' setting does take an hour so I have not used that one yet. From heavy jeans to very light fabrics clothes come out clean, if a bit wrinkled, the only… Read more

drawbacks are, 1) there is no softener dispenser, a bell alarm alerts you to the last cycle and you need to interrupt the cycle to add it to the last rinse and, 2) you have to flick through the 4 water settings to ensure the "medium" level of water registers, otherwise the machine starts to agitate without filling, no problem one you know. All in all I am very happy with this machine, a value price, made by Fisher and Paykel so if any service is needed there is a large company behind you.

Haier washing machine a lemon – The Haier 7kg top loader washing machine had intermittent electronic flaws from the start, often repeating the wash/rinse cycle over and over, which is dreadful when you rely on tank water. warranty. The motherboard was replaced but it was obviously just as faulty. Just out of warranty the hot tap didn’t turn off on a low level wash, the machine overflowed covering half my floors, causing damage to carpets but hopefully not the gyprock walls. I’ll have to wait to see if the ceramic tiles around the bottom of the worst affected area of gyprock protected them. Plus the loss of precious tank water. It went to the dump and I had to buy a new one (of another brand of course).

Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone – Don't like this machine, it tangles all the clothes. If I use full load, cold wash, eco cycle the machine sets to 3H. I think that 3 hour delay. Delicate cycle the washing comes out dripping wet. I have only had it 4 weeks and I am ready to sell it. I have previously used a F&p smart wash machine and I love it. But not the haier. Show details

DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!!!!!! – When you wash dark coloured clothes there is always a white scum left on them and they have to be washed a second or third time. The automatic balance doesn’t work. It can take more than 3 hours to wash a load of clothes because it keeps going through the rinse cycle over and over again. Show details

Absolutely shocking! – I am in a hotel in Brisbane and, unfortunately, this is the washer I have to use. I have never liked top loaders, in my opinion the wash quality in them is much poorer that a front loader and they really don't spin as well. In addition, it seems that they may use far more water. BUT, the absolutely WORST feature of this machine is that there is NO… Read more

DETERGENT DRAWER! So, do I really have to pour detergent directly onto my clothes? Do I really have to wait around for a ping so that I know when fabric softener must be added? Flimsy power button – After picking up one of these, the 7kg model up from a free to good home ad, it had the same power on issue, as mentioned by a few here. It must be a common issue with the powering up. The cause is a flimsy power button. The plastic swirl under the power button that pushes it back up, breaks off after a while, as that was the case on inpection,… Read more

and when you press it, the plastic piece under the button misses the power button on the circuit board, thus not powering on. It can be easily fixed with hot glue but who knows how long it'll last. It now works.

The worst washing machine you can buy – If you want a washing machine that washes terribly then this is the one for you! Why All The Bad Reviews? – Very satisfied with this washer which is easy to use and comes with an easy to follow manual. Clothes come out really clean and cycle times are quite easy to preset. Cycle times cover all wash types and are accurate. Operation is quiet. Particularly like cleanable lint filters and a cycle when using a cleaning 'bomb' to sterelise trhe washer over a three hour was and rinse cycle.  Show details

center takes 20+min to answer calls, and three days of calls later, including one day for Haier to identify how they will service as they done have own tech/auth tech in eastern suburbs of Melbourne, they have now given appointment a fortnight from now. I particularly love it for shoes and toys, they fit a lot easier (as I don’t have to squeeze them in around the agitator) and I just wash them in a pillow slip in case they fall apart, but nothing has as yet. The value for money is exceptional, especially when compared with other equivalent sized machines in various brands. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a hard working machine that will not break the budget.

Great 7kg top loader for a single person – I did research before purchasing this item. Great washing machine for a single person. Easy to operate. Many different cycles/levels/timers.
