The most despicable, diabolical, rude, insulting non furniture movers in my 18 house moves in 66 years – Where does one start. I’m a near 66 year old very unwell disability pensioner with a myriad of chronic health issues that I live with daily. The so called owner of this very sub standard farcical abhorrent non service was the most rude, arrogant smelly dirty creep I have ever had to deal with. And believe me, I’ve been the victim of many years… Read more

of every type of abuse possible.

After a 10 plus year wait, I was finally offered a community housing apartment in Melbourne exactly three weeks ago. I would have been an absolute fool to knock back a once in a lifetime opportunity such as this. I was living in Ballarat in a rented 3 bedroom dilapidated dump for almost 5 years and very unhappy with multiple health issues arising due to the living arrangements there.

Due to the fact I have no caring family members I needed the assistance of the various organisations available to assist me to down size from a house to a one bedroom apartment.

I worked my 45 kilo body off daily for three weeks to make the move from Ballarat as simple and easy as possible for the furniture removal company who were recommended to me by ‘Uniting’ in Ballarat. I donated thousands of dollars worth of my belongings to Uniting Care and The Salvation Army as I had to downsize.

The said removal man was rude to me from the very moment I met him, when he came to the house in Ballarat to see what was being moved. He insisted on telling me how he thought I should do the packing his way, when I was already three quarters of the way through packing on my own. After 18 moves in @ 45 years I think I have the brain capacity and knowledge to know what I am doing, as I have never had any issues with previous removal companies in all my years. They have all been eternally grateful for the care and effort I made to simplify their job in moving me.

I own a Miele fridge, washing machine and dryer. The three very sub standard so called movers dropped my dryer and washing machine in the lift here as that had not securely tied it to an appropriate heavy lifting trolly. My 15 year old perfect machines are now smashed and broken and I’m unable to use either of them. When the broken machines were placed into the appropriate place in this unit as broken as they are, one of the rude men said [Content Removed] it, I’m not connecting this as there are no power points of which there are.

I am totally on my own with a companion dog. My bed I have not been able to get to as it is placed up against a wall upwards, with boxes and other heavy items surrounding it. I have had to try and sleep in the only chair I have here since Friday. I could not get to the toilet, as they had boxes piled on top of it also. I am still unable to have a shower as the bathroom is over flowing with heavy smashed boxes everywhere.

They dropped all my expensive makeup in the lift that was securely placed into a large bag.

They dropped my new air fryer, and somehow all the food I was told I could keep in the freezer with the move, ended up in the dirt somewhere between Ballarat and Melbourne. It’s all covered in dirt and mud.

I was asked if my 15 year old television could be placed on its side, which I was adamant in saying absolutely not.

The television was brought up to my apartment on its side on a very sub standard trolly and it now sits on its side against a wall in my bedroom that I couldn’t even swing a cat in as they have just thrown my treasured possessions as if they are garbage.

I have not eaten since Thursday. I’ve had @ 8 hours sleep in 3 days, and I have chronic gastro.

I have sprained or twisted my ankle from falling over in this apartment as there is nowhere to move. So I am very incapacitated with no sign of improvement any time soon.

I have photos of the way this place has been left, and at least 4 witnesses who saw and had to see what I had to endure on what would have to be the very worst day of my life.

I have moved to a beautiful place that they have managed to make look like a tip.

I could go on and on, but I think the other negative reviews on here speak volumes.

I will be contacting A Current Affair television show tomorrow about what has transpired and have no problems naming and shaming these mongrels who have turned my dogs and my world upside down.

If this sham organisation think they are going to get away with what they have done to me, they are in for a very rude awakening.

I could go on and on, but I’m mentally and physically exhausted.

The people who run this community housing building are very aware of what took place as they witnessed it as did other residents here.

Plus I have many photos I’ve taken.

Basically these absolutely disgusting sub humans have turned my world on it’s head.

Warning - Do not use! – This company is extremely careless in handling your furniture and belongings. They accept no responsibility for damages caused to your property & claim that you should have paid for insurance, however an insurance company would not pay out for such carless handling of your property & the unnecessary damages caused.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY – THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE FOR YOUR BELONGINGS * Unpacked & repacked my things on another truck. In this process they lost pieces of my furniture (which they only decided to disassemble after leaving my house, therefore I could not pack them away safely). * Broke a wooden chair leg & would not admit responsibility. Didn't even tell us when they… Read more

brought it into the house. Claims it was in transit, but can give no video evidence that it was safe when unpacking/repacking. * Gave no explanation as to location of lost pieces, except to say "in a drawer". They are in NONE of my drawers. * Many boxes arrived with bent/crushed corners, I wonder how well they were treated once they drove away from my house?

Disgusting customer service, I had to chase up a response after 2 days of waiting to hear back from them.

Bad Service – I organised A2B movers to move my stuff from Adelaide to Melbourne. I was very clear in my instruction that they had to pick up after a certain time or all the furniture wouldn't be there (someone was getting some of it from another location) This request was acknowledged, however on the day the movers showed up two hours early and refused to wait 40 minutes...

Warning to customers - Do not use this movers!! – A2B MOVERS Address: [details removed] Website:www.a2bmoversballarat.com.au ABN:27613202654 Apartment, 2 bedroom Long distance move from Melbourne to ACT The mover started and finished on time. Unfortunately, A2B MOVERS, Ballarat damaged my personal belonging (TV cabinet and a few other items). The company denied responsibility and in… Read more

return blamed me for not taking up insurance. Insurance was never discussed and before this, I only use a mover once for short distance (Melbourne to Melbourne) without any hassle. I would have taken up insurance if they have discussed the insurance option with me. Anyway, my work paid for the cost of removalist, so it will make no difference to include the cost of insurance.

I have contacted Consumer Affairs VIC who advised me that because my belongings were damaged during the move, the removalist company, A2B MOVERS, Ballarat is in breach of the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). As a consumer, I am entitled to compensation, even without insurance coverage.

I will be taking A2B MOVERS, Ballarat to VCAT very soon. I just need to find the time (I work full time) to file paperwork. I am disappointed that they "sweet talked" me into using their service. After they get paid, they have refused to perform a proper service. Even without insurance cover, it didn't give the company the right to break my personal belongings. My TV cabinet is a complete write-off. A2B MOVERS, Ballarat website also contained majority positive feedback from customers. But I doubt it that the majority of customers are happy customers. They only put up positives feedbacks from customers.

I can't give this company below 1 star; I would like to give them a negative rating. If more and more unsatisfied customers let this company get away with crimes, A2B MOVERS, Ballarat is most likely to continue committing it. Please don't let them do so. Take them to the tribunal and have your case heard.

Woeful doesn't describe the service offered by this company - 1 star is too good a rating – Long distance move of a large 5 bedroom house. I was quoted 4 crew members given it was such a big move. A2B showed up a day late (scheduling error on their part) and arrived with 3 people. The company did not inform me that they would be late - I had to call to find out where they were. They noted their schedule said they had to be at my house… Read more

at 2am the next morning - go figure?

When the company eventually showed up (7am the next morning) I was asked by the person in charge to help them move some of the "heavy furniture" while he was directing packing in the truck. No urgency was displayed and the only person that really pulled their weight was a Dutch backpacker they hired for the day.

When we arrived at my new home the moving crew had dwindled down to 2 people. My displeasure was expressed and a discount requested at which point the company threatened to take my furniture if I didn't pay the full amount. They noted they would re-deliver my furniture at a later date but with an additional $1k penalty.

This has been my the worst customer service experience ever. Moving is a stressful time - no need to add to the stress by hiring incompetent people.

Deceptive - Movers drop and Damage Items and won't refund or replace – DO NOT use this company. I moved a 3 bedroom house from Adelaide to Sydney with this dodgy company and will never ever use them again. I will also be making an official complaint about deceptive practices and the fact they won't cover for damage they have caused during loading/unloading or transit. They quote low, but then will change the quote… Read more

on you without explanation, just send you a request for more money AFTER they have your items, so you have no choice in changing your mind as they now have your goods. They change delivery and pick up times with minimal or no notice. They use poor equipment (truck that picked up my items had a hole in the floor and an ant infestation, the truck that dropped off my goods was faulty and late because it kept overheating on the side of the road on a day when the temperature didn't get above 30 degrees). They dropped boxes, put a hole in my entertainment unit, not to mention issues I have had with my electronics since the move. I complained and asked for compensation for the damage and they said Nope, terms and conditions state we only cover damage if the truck rolls or bursts into flames, oh and we don't cover damage for cheap IKEA furniture.

I have done 3 interstate moves over the years, and this is the first time I have been compelled to write a negative review or make an official complaint about a company. A2B was booked through another company called TMC or Eleet Removals, they seem to change their name when it suits them, but A2B is the company who actually did the move, and are dodgy and not to be trusted.
