in 90s involved. Rang the company at 0945 - finally told they’d be there between 1100 - 1200. Told them not acceptable (again) as elderly couple were being admitted to a nursing home at those times. Finally agreed time of 1500 was made. Waited until nearly 1600 - no call and truck did not show up. Rang them again, waited 10 minutes to find out what was going on- finally told they’d could turn up between 1800-1900. Service cancelled by me. Said they would credit the deposit- not trusting that, but have message and email proving, plus records of all calls between us. DISGUSTING, NON CARING, UNRELIABLE, POOR COMMUNICATION, NON TRUSTWORTHY, RIP OFF, LIARS, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY
Absolute con men, they say one price then add a grand, they are a disgrace, never use them or trust them .... They quoted a price then on the day it went up $1,,200 dollars... I will never use this disgraceful company again. AVOID, DO NOT USE EVER, THEY ARE CON MEN

“Service” fails to attend on their prearranged and agreed time, this had significant financial implications for me. Then they fob me off with their terms and conditions say it is acceptable to essentially not show up at the agreed job booking time. They took a break, even after being late, then charged me extra, for the time they spent doing nothing. When they moved the boxes, instead of placing them in an area so the place was accessible, they dumped it all in the doorway. Then, at the end they withheld my most expensive piece of gym equipment, until they could extort more money. Even though they were late, and sat around. I have tried reaching out to them. Tried to get compensated for my lost wages, due to the proven fact, they failed to attend in the specified time. They have given every excuse known to man. One thing that is very concerning, is when a company is not accountable. No accountability means no responsibility. Move was relatively easy, boxes double bed side tables. There is simply no excuse for being 3 hours late, and making your client miss work. Having a mortgage to pay, I needed that work. They made me miss work, putting me in mortgage stress, for the week. I wish I had have read their Reddit feed, as there are posts there from many, so evidently there is a track history of this kind of behaviour. If you are going to lie to your customers, at least get your story straight. You literally gave me 3 different conflicting stories about why you were late. One from the removalists. One from the telephone operator, and another from the manager. Then you dismiss and don’t care. I am contacting the television media on Monday. I have had enough of them stalling and fobbing me off. No more opportunities to fob me off. You have had ample time to deal with this, and you chose not to.

During the move, he ran out of fuel while he had a truckload of my belongings. I then had to drive him to the service station. Inefficient, low hourly rate overtaken by slow work. Damage to property not covered despite then saying it would be – Do not book with this company. Complaints process is a joke. covered. I even confirmed before I booked that damage to the property would be covered under their insurance and they said it would. Disgraceful, unprofessional conduct. I wouldn't trust them to move a paper bag after this. Their removalists are both under qualified and overworked - they booked the two we had on three jobs that day. I hate to think about how poorly they were going to handle items on the jobs after ours, since they were already exhausted and slow as it was.
Follow-up · Damage was never repaired. They came back saying they had liability exclusions for "minor scratches and damage". They offered a $50 voucher to use them again in the future which was as useless as nothing since we'll never use them again. Final cost was around $1000. 1. Dishonest representation of estimated arrival time. The job I booked was for between 10am-2pm with a preferred time of 12pm. After many phone calls on my part the crew turned up at 6pm. Manager I asked to speak to were unmoved and would do nothing to escalate my job just lying further about ETAs of 2pm and 4.30pm to put me off and using their often repeated excuse of "mechanical issues". (Look at other reviews and you'll see they use this one alot.) 2. Unexpected extra fees. At time of booking, I advised the second Pickup address in the Hills had a sloping driveway. I was only advised at the end of the move that there would be an additional $80 for the slope. I was told the $130 per hour included all fees and insurance and that there would be no hidden extras. 3. Lack of professionalism. I was told on booking not to worry about the family antiques as CBD were very experienced and professional movers and I would know them from the logo on the van and on staff tops. The beaten-up van that arrived at 6pm and the two sullen staff members had no logos at all, only air conditioner tech shirts, I guess from their day jobs. So not experienced movers then. No hellos, no introductions or apologies I guess just two over worked and under paid contractors. This made what should have been a big day for my family a distressing and frustrating nightmare. My recommendation DO NOT USE CBD MOVERS. As someone else commented in their review they are money hungry grubs and it is a wonder they are still in business.

The movers were standoffish and rude. If they asked me if a certain item was included and I said yes, they would roll their eyes like I was asking too much of them. May items were unnecessarily turned upside down, and they stacked heavy boxes on top of light boxes and didn't rearrange them when the boxes were visibly being crushed. I do not recommend their services.

These guys are shonky , rip-off merchants. They were 2.5 hours late on arrival. I prepaid for 4 hours and agreed to pay any difference. 3 men managed to do one load with additional and significant help from us in a 4.5 ton truck with a 5 minute travel time between two houses 5 hours which included them taking a 1 hour and 40 minutes lunch break… Read more
which was supposed to be 30 mins. Then they disappeared. Apparently because of the stairs in the new house which was clearly discussed at the time of the booking and paid for. But they didn't tell us they were quitting. When I called the moving crew they told me they were refueling and just getting coffee and kept lying. It took 2 hours of phone calls to establish they were not coming back and CBD Movers attempted to shake us down to send 2 trucks and 6 men but not until the next day and if we paid thousands of dollars on the spot. They since try relentlessly to charge an excess fee even though they did 3 hours of 20 minutes of "work" on the pre-paid 4 hours, including $150 additional for stairs which $30 was quoted and paid for. We had to book another moving company to finish the job and were severely compromised in terms of cost and delays, as a result. Horrible bunch of people running a very dishonest operation. Do not touch with a barge pole. some high value solid wood items and dented my brushed stainless steel fridge. The truck was nowhere near big enough and required two trips.. almost doubling cost. I was clear with detailing all of my items and number of boxes when I booked the service but, they sent a small truck anyway.
After they finished I paid them the HUGE unexpected bill, then they refused to give me a receipt until I gave them a positive review - while they stood offer me, watching me type and touching my phone's screen to select favourable options without my permission. They insisted on taking a photo of my phone too. Completely unacceptable. Positive reviews for CBD Removalists on this site cannot be trusted as they are likely submitted under duress.
In all it cost nearly $400 more than I had agreed to, some of my property was damaged and they forced me to leave a positive review while holding the receipt as ransom and before I had any opportunity to inspect my furniture for damage.

Since leaving this review i have had a reasonable mediation and add the following and increase the rating to 3 from 1. Thank you for your call and apology for the concerns that I had regarding the move by your removalist. I appreciate the offer of a payment and apology to resolve and compensate for the unprofessional service provided by the driver. It does indicate to me that you are trying to improve your reputation.
