double bed, took some photos not many. Even tho more stuff had been listed and said that they would get a trolley from the back of the truck and never come back and told our support person that the apartment was hygienic, dirty and had unsafe smells despite the fact the only bags there were our personal belongings and most rubbish was taken out and had only few things little things on the floor that there were to be cleaned up after everything had been taken out but said that they would move the Booking the next week so we can "clean the place up and make it more appropriate to our standards" even tho we have been instructed to be out by the end of the week and while they were here made multiple comments on our race as well as our age (as we are young people) this is by far the worst experience I'll ever had and hope people stay away from this company.

11:30am I had to call myself just to get an update. All I was initially told was the generic “between 10am and 2pm” response.

Eventually, I was informed that the vehicle had broken down. While I understand that breakdowns can happen, what isn’t acceptable is the complete lack of communication. A simple message letting us know there had been an issue and that we were likely to be delayed would have saved us from wasting our entire day sitting around waiting.

Delays are understandable. Poor communication isn’t. Very disappointing customer service and an extremely frustrating experience.

Update: CBDMovers eventually called and apologised and promised to provide a $50 refund and $50 voucher for future appointments. NOT recommend CBDMovers based on our recent experience! been a mechanical issue and that the team would be delayed until around 5:00 pm. The movers eventually arrived at ~4:50 pm and completed the move around 9:15 pm. This meant we spent most of the day waiting and were unable to proceed with other planned tasks.

When making the booking, we also specifically requested the disposal of unwanted items, including two mattresses, bed frames, and several electrical appliances. We were told this could be done at no additional charge. However, after the move was completed around 9pm, they said it was too late to take the items to the collection facility because it had already closed.

We were then told that another team would contact us and come the following day around 12:00 pm to collect and dispose of the items. Unfortunately, we never received any call, and nobody came. As a result, we had to arrange and pay for disposal ourselves through Airtasker.

To be fair, the two removalists who handled the move worked hard, moved our belongings carefully, and placed everything where we wanted in the new home. We appreciate their efforts and have no complaints about the actual moving work.

What disappointed us most was the poor communication and the failure to follow through on what had been promised. We understand that delays and mechanical issues can happen, but being told that the disposal would be handled the next day and then hearing nothing back felt unprofessional.

Moving house is already stressful and exhausting. We planned everything in advance and expected the agreed services to be completed. While the movers themselves did a good job, the company’s scheduling, communication, and unfulfilled promises left us disappointed.

DO NOT BOOK CBD Movers. Horrific experience. We booked movers for the 7pm-9am slot. our booking had been cancelled because it was 'too big a job'. Bizarre, as (1) they knew the size of the job when they gave me the quote; (2) ours is a small three bedroom apartment. Appallingly unprofessional to cancel on the day without any notice, and only to inform us of this fact after WE reached out! We needed to move by the end of the day. CBD Movers was unwilling to provide compensation for our lost time and additional expenses. DO NOT BOOK.

Never use CBD movers again. Quoted for 4 men for a heavy item and then proceeded to disassemble and antique item without asking . Then they had the audacity to charge me for the additional men even though they weren't needed. The antique will never be the same . They owe me $600. Don't risk your precious items.
