Excellent service from Safe Removalist throughout our move during our extension. Safe Removalist were terrific with communication, prompt, and offered reasonable prices. All workers on removal days (e.g. Vlad and Hone on the return trip for our items) were courteous and professional, and very pleasant to work with. No problem was too much, they went the extra mile, and were very hard-working.

We booked Safe Removalist for a house move from Castle Hill to Kellyville. Ben the driver rang the day before to confirm arrival time. transfer. This was only told to me at the end of the day and meant i needed to find quite a bit of cash to make the transfer. I wish I had have been told about this on booking. I was overcharged on the day. I queried with the company, i had to ask 4 times before i got a response. Some money was transferred back, but i didn't find the pricing very transparent. I rented boxes and this was problematic. They were delivered a day late and initially to the wrong address. The movers booked in the collection date but were unable to stick to this. They were collected over a week late, but this was after 3 failed bookings where they didnt turn up and there was dreadful communication.

On balance, I don't think I would use them again.

are never stress-free, but they made it as smooth as it realistically can be. I’d be comfortable recommending them to anyone moving between states who wants a reliable and straightforward service.

Decent, but check your stuff before reviewing or signing anything – They did a decent job getting things into the truck. But it was raining heavily and the truck wasn't waterproof for the trip from Canberra to Sydney. Quite a bit of my stuff was water-damaged. Removed] and an unknown man (who didn’t introduce himself) came for my move from Canberra to Melbourne (July 2022) The furniture was moved into the truck well. The issues were around communication and unloading at the new premises. My real estate agent was helpful in gaining access to the property and told me she just required to be told when to be there to open the apartment.

When organising a time with the removalists, they said 7-9am they would deliver. I explained I needed a more concrete time as the estate agent would be opening for me. They again said, sometime in that time frame they would deliver. I had to be firm and say 8am.

The next morning I attempted to contact frank about his ETA and tried a few times before getting through to him.

They unloaded the furniture and as I was still driving to Melbourne, I explained to them I would be another 40 minutes away. Understandably they couldn’t wait that long as they had other jobs. But instead of explaining to me what the process was, I was yelled at over the phone in broken English and they demanded I pay then and there. I explained I was driving and would need to pull over and also I wanted to check the furniture to ensure it was all there and not damaged. They brushed aside my request by saying ‘yes yes all here’.

The ladies [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] from customer service then contacted me. [Name Removed] was helpful in sorting out the situation. She explained the usual steps in this situation and that the removalists could send me photos of the furniture. This then occurred and I made the payment. I apologise for the delay to the crew, I understand they had to wait at the unloading apartment. I subsequently paid additional money for the wait time they experienced.

[Name Removed] and the other man then left without telling me where the keys were kept or if the apartment was locked.

I then spent another 30 minutes on the phone to [Name Removed] who was very helpful in trying to contact the crew and clarify where the keys were. Again the English and communication of the crew was pretty poor. [Name Removed] then explained to me the crew had send her a photo of the keys but she needed to clarify where they were as this wasn’t evident by the photo and the crew didn’t convey this via text.

Finally [Name Removed] was able to tell me that the keys were in the kitchen drawer and the crew had left the apartment unlocked.

I was grateful for the follow up and communication by [Name Removed] who helped me sort out what had happened. I would have thought that frank and his crew member could have called or texted and told me all of this to avoid confusion. I messaged [Name Removed] to ask him where the keys were and he didn’t respond.

To add to the experience, [Name Removed] crew member (name unknown) told me while I was packing at the original apartment in Canberra that I too concerned about packing the boxes with tape and making sure things were ok. He said yes yes everything would be packed well and carefully when I asked questions about how they would ensure my furniture was kept safe in the travel. Overall I felt the crew brushed aside my questions and made me feel silly for asking them.

Not to mention my coffee table arrived with a noticeable scratch on the surface and even though the fridge was in the fridge space, it wasn’t even plugged in so I had to move it out again. I thank [Name Removed] and his crew who did a good job in January and I thank [Name Removed] at customer service for her communication and help.

I don’t think I would use this company again for moving (I will be moving again in Jan 2023) due to the difficult communication I experienced with the moving crew from Canberra to Melbourne.

Two years later I have gone back and edited it to say what I really think as I feel bad that others will be misled by my previous gushing review. I am kind of scared there will be retribution. I will update if anything bad happens having now told the truth.

A real pleasure to deal with. The office staff were friendly, helpful and kept us informed throughout the process. We moved from a 4 bedroom home to a townhouse. The price was very reasonable and the guys were courteous, punctual, careful and quick. The trip was almost an hours travel and they managed to move and place everything well within the day.
