They lie outright to get your business. I was wary based on the earlier review saying they are a booking agent, so I quizzed them about it upfront. 2nd question, is the $800 deposit off the removal cost, I was told yes, BUT ANOTHER BIG FAT LIE, NO IT WASN'T. It would have been $800 cheaper if I'd gone straight to the moving company. My advice is do not start at the companies starting with A, move down the list and find a dedicated Interstate removal firm. For me If I'd found Harrington's Transport Removals who specialise in Adelaide - Melbourne or vice-versa, I would have saved myself the $800 booking fee. Do not be another person who falls for this. Worse, was I booked before I had finished my packing, so as to be assured of the removal on time. I rang and asked to update my inventory once I had finished packing the kitchen and bedroom too. I never got the updated list of my items and neither did the removal company. I asked specifically how much extra it would cost me and I was told nothing, as they could take up to 40 cubic feet. On the day, the moving company started by going around the house and checking off exactly what was on the outdated inventory, that this crowd had not updated. Anything extra was assessed for size and I was charged another $775. I was also stressed to the max as I was at first told without paying that extra all would not fit in the 2 x 20 cubic metre trucks and I would have to pay for another trip. But if I paid the extra, it would all magically fit. It took them longer to load because they fit the belongings together like a jenga game and they stacked it to the inch, so I got moved in one go. Although Gino was good to deal with he was tardy in updating the inventory once he had his money and he is a liar and took my $800 under completely unprofessional and questionable circumstances. I was a mug for not heeding the earlier review by someone else. Don't be a mug and heed both mine and the other person's review. You do not need to pay a booking fee, go straight to the moving company.
Booking agent not moving company and charge large booking fee – This company is a booking agent disguised as a moving company. They will charge you $885 "deposit" booking fee and lead you to believe the $885 is going towards/be taken out your moving price when it's not. Their quotes are constructed a certain way which is also misleading. The subcontractors did do a good moving job

online, sent the dimensions of the kitchen and received a speedy professional reply from Gino. Not knowing anything about removalists I was anxious but he was super patient with all my questions. The seller was keen to get the kitchen out of their way so they could get on with their Reno so being able to confirm the pick up date upfront with them to ensure availability on the day and having the drivers contact details handy made this morning easier. So how did it end? Well the kitchen arrived on the day promised, the Gumtree pictures don’t do it justice - it’s even nicer than I thought and I couldn’t be happier with the service from Gino, Jason (the driver) and the Across Australia Removals crew. These guys could teach big businesses a thing about trust and personalised customer service. Thank you Gino and Jason for exceeding all our expectations and keep safe on the road. Great service. Great price – After lots of research to find a good price as we were only moving half of a 3 bedroom home, I came across this company. Great Service, Happy customer – Moved from NSW to VIC and was able to have all of my belongings in 2days from pick up to delivery. Everything was handled with care, wrapped all my breakables up in blankets in the truck and placed it all wherever I directed upon delivery. Both Reagan and Jordan were very nice and helpful throughout. Would highly recommend, anyone wanting to hire removalists for both competitive pricing as well as excellent customer service.
