Not worth the price you pay – Came with our house when we built and it came with a 5 year warranty. They have have had to send out Electrolux 3 times now for the same fault where the pump cannot drain the water out (i20 fault) It will not be missed as it has never cleaned the cutlery well, or anything for that matter as its only capable of heating the water to 70 degrees.… Read more

Despite using a wide range of cleaning products it still cannot get things clean. 4 out of the 6 programs are useless as they do not get the water hot enough to dissolve the dishwashing tablets (tried multiple brands all the same results) or actually clean the contents.

For what you're paying its not worth it and a Bosch or Westinghouse Mid range will beat this dubious bit of engineering every day of the week.

Solid and reliable for 4 years the I30 error – This machine had no problems at all. Then one day the dreaded I30 error appeared. Lots of space and quiet – Great dishwasher with lots of space and convenient packing. As a couple of two we probably only use it twice a week and can't fit so many dishes. It is very quiet and the different time options mean that I can have dishes ready for guests in 30 minutes or give a really good clean overnight for tougher dishes.  Show details

Work great – Purchased this from Harvey Norman Launceston and for the price with a 5yr warranty I am very happy. I mainly use the auto function which is great for me and everything comes out beautifully. The only issues I have is that the bottom rack does come off its tracks easily and sometimes things are quite wet. Other than that I am very happy I purchased it.  Show details

Don't Purchase. Terrible repair assistance - told probably cheaper to buy a new machine – Where is the sustainability in our society we are trying to teach our kids? Just got 5 years out of this machine when it stopped heating and was told by aeg it'd be cheaper to buy a new one. However, we did get our own electrician to check the board, replace the thermostat and heat pump which was also a complete waste of time and money as it still doesn't heat. Won't be purchasing this brand ever again. No wonder it's been discontinued. Show details

Don't Buy. Terrible service and not worth the money – Machine had an i30 error often and was in warranty. was faulty and the repair agent did say he had to repair many of these. Worked for a while then a seal had a hole in it. Repaired this. Still had many i30 errors. Then the hose had a hole in it. Also got this repaired. Still had i30 errors continuously. Did speak to AEG but the were very unhelpful as the machine was now out of warranty. Basically after owning the machine for 6 years it has been replaced with a different model. I won't buy AEG again and would recommend that others think twice before spending the money on a so called "premium product".

Hopeless service from AEG / Electrolux - Never will I buy again – The dishwasher itself is pretty unreliable but it's also the level of service that doesn't help. My dishwasher broke down with the i20 error as others have mentioned. From some google searching I managed to figure out it was either the sensor or the pump. You can order both from the spare parts store however dealing with their service team is a… Read more

fragmented experience with multiple departments and lots of waiting on hold. They seem resistant to want to assist in diagnosing or picking the right parts. I eventually got the right parts and followed instructions on YouTube to repair the dishwasher myself.

Unfortunately, I also had to deal with the returns process, which took about a month to resolve after they sent a part by mistake that I had ordered but later cancelled. They refused to pay for return postage, never returned my calls and couldn't even let me know the process for returning. I found instructions online for returning that eventually worked, though cost me $15 for postage.

It's one thing for a product to break down, but if I had have received prompt and accurate support and service I would still consider them for future purchases. After my experience of an unreliable product and terrible customer service I've ruled out purchasing another product from this brand.

Worst price of Electrical Equipment I have ever purchased – I do not write bad reviews but this needs to be said. I have had the Dishawsher repaired no less than 5 times now and am completely disillusioned with the company. Very poor quality – Had an earlier model which was good, but the new update has been appalling - so many basic poor design elements, and the whole product is 'tinny', when the one we had from 20 years ago was very high quality. Disappointed with chemical residue left over – After nearly two years of use, the dishes needed to be scrubbed every time, it could not clean off milo, vegemite, peanut butter or dried spices out of a glass, (not the spices, just the dust left...it was still there after a heavy wash)... we could taste the residue from the tablets on the cups and glasses, so used less and less powder.... and… Read more

now to top it off the salt thing at the bottom had discoloured water in it...we don't need to use the salt thing, but it had filled with water and looks like it does not drain out properly... when we sucked the water out with a cloth it stunk like dirty rotten fish...it was really really bad. Then it took weeks and weeks for the repair man to fix it, and it is now only being resolved more than 4 weeks after we asked for help that AEG are giving us a refund. They have been very helpful to deal with and I can recommend them because of their 5 year guarantee. It was completely silent and did dry very well. I think it must have just been a really bad machine, if it had washed and rinsed properly it would have been great. Oh and it had a fast cycle that also dried. One major downside is that if you accidentally bump the control panel after you start it, you have to stop the whole thing and start from the very beginning again. It does not have a child lock and it can not restart from the where it left off. ..... So close , but so far..... thumbs up to the AEG team for trying to put it right.

Happy – Set out looking for a Bosch on a family recommendation but found that you cannot connect a Bosch dishwasher to your hotwater pipes. Liked the looks of the Meile which ticked all the boxes except price. Settled on the AEG as supposedly German manufactured (actually made in Italy) but it seemed ok in the shop and about 60% the price of the high end… Read more

Meile. Firstly, I like having my dishwasher connected to the hotwater plumbing. Provides for a faster wash and hot dry finish. Secondly, this dishwasher is very quiet. Thirdly, it seems to clean our dishes and cutlery pretty well. Fourthly, it has much more room for larger items than our previous (Dishlex). The AEG's inside is huge and it washes from the top as well as the bottom. The old Dishlex lasted some twenty years and would do a fast wash in less than 15 minutes. But it had smaller space than the AEG and needed more pre-rinsing. With all dishwashers now designed for energy/water saving, they all take more time. The sales people talked us in to going for something a little up the ladder from the current Dishlex or its equivalents.

We Generally do pre-rinse before stacking in the diswasher and have found it pays to do so, especially to remove egg remnants before putting in the washer. We can live with this. We use a 50 minute wash and everthing comes out clean and dry. Our main reservations about this dishwasher to date are: The bottom sliding draw is not as smooth as it should be. Need to press down on it when sliding it in. Secondly, the configuration still makes it hard to work out where to put glasses and mugs so that they will not fall over and break. As an aside, we purchased a Fisher and Pykel dishwasher for our coast house some eight years ago and I dislike it intensely. It has a dreadfully impractical draw configuration and is very hard to stack. In pursuit of being able to claim a high 'stacking rate' F&P did not cater for everday items like bottom-heavy glasses and mugs with wide rims. Love our F&P washing machine and fridge but wouldn't touch their dishwashers again. Whatever machine you go for, check out carefully the stacking configuration and also the hot/cold plumbing connection.

Disappointing machine and questionable customer service – Cutlery often comes out dirty, as do glasses, although I'm happy with how dry the plastics are at the end of a cycle. It is quiet. I was advised by customer service that I would have to pay for a technician if no fault was found with the machine - even though we went through a checklist of things to check over the phone (ie. Refused to allow me to speak to someone who could assist me further as apparently customer service rep can only advise to a certain extent before booking a technician... which I may have to pay for... but that won't be determined until they check the machine... even though it was installed by AEG less than a month ago! Regretful purchase, it does not do what it claims – The AEG dishwasher had the potential to be a very good product. Unfortunately it does not allow for mix usage due to the nature of its design. All the spaces are the same, therefore not allowing for bowls, dinner plates and half plates to be organised together. The alternate facing supports were also a very bad idea as it limits the item and… Read more

item sizes that you can organise together on that particular level.

There is no place for large cooking items like knives, or mixing spoons, whisks etc. I was sent a utensil holder by the company, thank you, but it does not work on this particular model. The dishes do come out cleaner, but the running time to clean the dishes is much longer, up to 180 mins. The supporting documentation to assist the purchaser learn how best to organise the dishes, is not even from this model ! Clearly they are are taking shortcuts and treating the purchaser with contempt.

I informed the AEG customer service, that after 5 -6 days I was unhappy with the product, compared to my previous dishwasher a Bosch, and indicated the product was unable to meet the expectations for a large family of six. I was told that I could not exchange it or get my money back as there was nothing wrong with the machine, it was buyers research and the responsibility was on me.

Well this is the first time I have purchased a product under the recommendation of a salesperson, and it will be the last (Thanks Harvey Norman).

If i can save one person the dismay of having to live with this product then I will feel happy having written this review. Do Not Buy It. It is not the best, dishes come out wet not matter what cycle you use, no space for large utensils, long cycles and documentation provided is incorrect.

Its back to the drawing board for AEG on this one. I would honestly recommend a product recall for claiming it achieves outcome it does not come close to achieving.

Harvery Norman Promise Let Down – Seems like I was scammed by Harvey Norman also. warranty, well I was sold. What a mistake. We also have to pre-rinse (practically wash) before putting dishes into the machine. Then some things don't get washed, just have the food baked on. Then of course after such a long drying period you would hope that the dishes woul dbe dry (like they were with the Fisher & Paykel) but no, I still have to hand dry a lot of them.

Wet dishes and soapy water – As many people here, I was convinced by the very good salesman Harry at Harvey Norman in Richmond to switch to AEG although I came from Smeg and intended to buy a Bosch dishwasher. just badly designed. The only way to fill it is to have glasses touch each other. Nothing broken yet though;

- when bottom rack is full in front, it tips!;

- more seriously: we experience wet and soapy dishes (with sometimes half-dissolved tablet) with Auto programme. I thought it was because it was not super full, but it also happened several times with a full dishwasher. The user guide warns to use less detergent when less full, but it is hard to do when using tablets. I did not observe this when using Pro but what is the point of the Auto program then? When it is so wet, I thought the drying function does not work properly. I never experienced this with my Bosch or Smeg (I have 2 dishwashers).

The last issue is the most serious as it poses a health hazard. Not keen in consuming soap...

What can I do??
