It's ok, but with an obvious design miss – Its a good microwave, but with a strange design decision. To open the door is a tiny touch icon, why not use the very obvious large knob (used for timer adjustment) - push it to open? DUH! I don't understand the design miss. Everyone asks....."ummm..how do you open the door?" I don't think its slow, it has a grill function too, doubt I'll ever use it. A microwave is a microwave.
AEG Microwave – 1) An expensive -overpriced microwave + grill . No doubt expensive because of grill feature. (I had no option of brand as I bought into a "new build" home in a lifestyle community) 2) Under powered 900w max so slow slow slow.slow slow slow. 2) Grill function works OK 3)Anti-fingerprint stainless steel a selling feature! Why when the door front is glass -mostly black, and shows all the finger prints where you open and close door. Phoned AEG to discuss problem of how slow the microwave is! I have been using microwave ovens for 43 years to cook not just reheat or heart a cuppa soup etc! Admitted by AEG staff that yes, this oven is under powered hence is slow! Commented something about how they build them for European conditions! Excuse me! Mid 2019 in another home, microwave "blew up" so emergency , had to buy a replacement, an ''el cheapo" replacement. Cost less than $150.00 cheap - (yes no grill) but much faster than the microwave oven that is the subject of this review.
