Makes Cooking So Simple
We bought our Dynamic Crisp after our old oven, at only six months old and the microwave, broke down at virtually the same time. We hardly used either and so thought a combination would be a good idea. This little baby does so much more. I’m constantly amazed at the amount of options of foods it virtually cooks on its own. I’ve cooked big breakfasts of sausage, bacon, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms on the crisp plate. Must admit, I had to keep on my toes and I also used spray oil. The best roast chicken ever using the Chef function. We’ve only had it a couple of months, so I’m looking forward to learning more about this amazing machine.

Re-inventing Microwave, same maker sold as Whirlpool or Ariston
I purchased this microwave in 2019, after the previous model (Whirlpool JT369, purch. 2013), developed a perimeter door crack owing to a manufacturing fault. Being unable to be repaired (parts unavail.), I went to buy another. The unit was now an Ariston with more functions, an updated door, digital input and a sloping spill guard below door. The previous model came with all the racks and trays (some now an additional cost), so they happily fitted the new microwave.
Although somewhat noisy, and the turn-table never returns your cup to the fron...t (always at the back, resulting in spills), I have found the unit relatively easy to use, along with most functions (the Whirlpool buttons were easier than the digital input). I've never used the crisper tray. I recently tried the Oven-Combo setting with food on wire rack, which turns out hot and crispy pies. I do find the continuing beeping and fan noise after its finished cooking gets on my goat (I like my appliances seen but rarely heard). With almost no smooth internal surface (except door and base), anything messy or grease splattering, is near impossible to clean up (unlike a conventional oven). Recommended cleaners (detergent / window cleaner) do not remove baked on splatters or water marks, which if left can corrode/pit the interior (this is a chrome like finish, not stainless steel). For this reason, I rarely bake or grill. Around December 2019 (abt 4 months after purch.) a metallic vibration began, which I initially thought was the rack vibrating on the glass turntable. This has gradually worsened, to the point it now sounds like a freight train. Seems it is associated with the convection fan airflow, which when operated with something in the oven (as you do when cooking), it disrupts the swirling air current, deflecting back at the fan, causing it to wobble. As long as I don't try to cook anything, no noise. It is still under warranty... but without a second cooking means at the moment... I'm uncertain of the inconvenience and delay to repair. Due to Covid19, Ariston only have an answering machine on their phone in Victoria. As a final mention... new stock of this microwave... are now sold under the Whirlpool (JT479IX) name again, jumping in price to $799 (from $600 in 2019). When working, I've been happy with the unit/s (despite its somewhat rubbish build). But having spent over $1100 in 7.5 years on two microwaves, its not proven an economical or value for money purchase (especially when the failures are down to manufacturer faults). I've had less trouble with a cheap Kmart microwave oven.

First Convection Microwave Oven & very impressed with the MWA33B.
Was not satisfied with my original microwave oven for reheating food, especially pastries; conventional oven was time consuming, so this Convection Microwave was the obvious alternative. I have found the combination features easy to navigate & the Favourites functions great for the items I heat often.

Part of everyday life!
Quick & easy gourmet dishes in a fraction of the time. The MWA33B is a joy to use, easy to clean and accurate temperature and timing. A must for busy families.

Best Convection Microwave I’ve ever had
I’ve only had this microwave for a few weeks so far and already it’s exceeding my expectations. I didn’t even know this product existed until recently. I previously had a reliable Panasonic convection microwave for many years, which was then followed by two LG NeoChef convection microwaves, both of which broke within a year with the same problem. With the Ariston, it surpasses all functionality I had previously. My favourite features so far are firstly the ability to reheat food to perfection, with the click of just two buttons - Reheat and...Start. A sensor then works out the rest from there. And secondly the ability to cook a roast chicken with roast potatoes in 40 minutes on a crisp plate with another click of just a few buttons. The recipe book which comes with it (digital) is filled with great recipes and examples of the features, and the Manual has an extensive list of Chef Menu options which again make cooking so much easier. Great purchase so far!

An excellent replacement for us!
The microwave is fantastic. Very intuitive and easy to use. I have used all functions - cook and reheat food, steam function, oven and grill. Pizzas and pies stay crisp. The programming features are easy to use and allow flexibility to increase or decrease heating/cooking times without stopping ane microwave. the interior is nice and big and the light is bright in the microwave. I love it and use it all the time. the microwave heats the food evenly with consistent temperatures and no hot/cold pockets!!!

Ditch the Old Oven
It has certainly improved my lifestyle to replace my old wall-connected oven with my counter-top Ariston MWA33B. I am very pleased to find how well it bakes, so much more efficiently than my previous cumbersome stove. Quicker, more targeted heat, great grilling and crisping features. It defrosts food rapidly and the choice of cooking features broadens my range of cooking options and possible meals for my family.

Handy multi-purpose kitchen appliance
Have found easy to use preset menus and used a couple so far successfully to create easy dishes, e.g. potato gratin, Mediterranean vegetables and baked potatos. Had a different brand crisp and grill previously and decided it was time for a change, so far very satisfied and looking forward to try out more of the presets and some baking.

Am I happy?? Yes and No
My first disappointment with the Ariston Microwave is the fact it does not have a clock it is ONLY a timer. My second disappointment is that when the food is cooked the timer beeps that's fine but the microwave does NOT switch its self off, yes the cooking stops but the machine it will run up to another 10 mins before it cuts out, what a waist of electricity. I am not sure I would have bought it had I known of these two issue as i find them frustrating. I bought my Ariston because of the good reviews and yes as oven I am happy, it does a great ...job with the food I cook. I just find it hard to believe no clock and no auto cut out and I am told several people have inquired about the lack of these two features, it seems the older models did have these feature???

Absolutely outstanding results
I wish I had bought this microwave years ago it pretty much does what an oven does but much more especially roasts and cakes. Even my boys love using it. I Love, love this microwave. I am always raving about it to my family and friends and show them photos of my cooking achievements and they are pretty amazed and have decided to buy one aswell. You will not regret buying one.

Stick with it...The MWA33B Ariston is pretty neat convection microwave bench top oven
1, When I first used it I was upset because it didn't behave like my previous oven. I felt like I had to babysit all my cooking because the times and settings were so different from what I was used to.
2. It has taken about 1.5 months of using different settings and now I can say this:
3. The crisp setting is marvelous. I have cooked bacon and eggs on it and very tasty and cooked well. I have cooked fish fillets from frozen and after the first few times figured the best timing and now fish is moist and flaky and has the crisp taste. I have cook...

BEST MICROWAVE EVER ! (THROW AWAY YOUR OVEN)
I purchased my Ariston MWA33B based on the great reviews here ,but it still went beyond my expectations. I very much doubt I will use my oven again. Not only is the food cooked to perfection but it looks picture perfect as if a master chef made it and it tastes even better ! I roasted the best chicken using the Dynamic crisper plate that I have ever cooked in my life . As it was just under 1.800 kg and the Ariston only goes up to 1.500 kg for a chicken (41 mins )I just used the same program again & stopped it after 30 mins just to be safe and ...the results were spectacular and the accompanying roast potato & pumpkin were incredible. I have also made the best quiche ever & the best lasagna (in a huge dish to serve 8 people) & the best pizza etc. I have just ordered the cake tin and I can't wait to bake ! I adore the fast cooking times and despite me cooking up a storm the microwave is remaining spotless ! My husband told me I look happier using the microwave than I did on our wedding day ! He made me laugh ,but cooking in this machine is a joy instead of a chore. For the first time in my life I feel like a great cook. This microwave is my all time favourite machine ! It may be pricey ,but it is worth every cent and now I know how amazing it is,I'd even pay more. It looks a little daunting to use ,but it is actually quite simple and the instruction manual is very helpful. I got the hang of it in no time. My microwave came with 2 grilling stands (different heights), a vege steamer and the Dynamic Crisping tray which is nothing short of miraculous and makes browning and roasting and baking a breeze !

Questions & Answers
I can't get the timer to work, following the instructions, it always activates the jet start. Has anybody else had this problem?
Select the microwave button second from the left, then press OK button, then turn OK knob to desired power [left or right], press OK then turn knob to desired duration [left or right], then press OK to start.
I've never used it, but I went to check, and yes, very confusing, however, I persevered. Mine did the same, I think the problem is the instruction manual. I went into the display, and pressed the bottom right clock display. You can then use the timer without jetstart. I've had mine a year and am still learning. Incidentally, did your crisp plate go wonky after only a few uses? Good luck with the timer.
Hi thanks for the reply.
After you pushed the clock display what did you do then? I tried everything so I would love it if you can give me a step by step instruction.
Yes my tray did even though I waited for it to cool down.
Does the temperature/baking time have to be reduced when baking bread and cakes?
*I read from online websites that temperature has to be reduced by 25 degree f when using convection ovens.
I have not used my oven for baking bread or cakes as yet.
Generally the temperature in a convection oven should be set lower than non-fan forced oven with top and bottom elements. The specific temperature will depend on the recipe you are using.
