Unreliable cruise
I had booking for vivid show on June 15 for all my family, 2 adult and 2 kids. Waited for 45 mins in queue and returned empty hand :( Boat came in wharf to drop off passengers did not say anything at that time. After 30 mins some one (not from cruise team) advised boat is broken and advised to ask for refund with company. What a non sense no one from the cruise came to apologise. Did not take any initiation for alternative arrangement. I spent time and money (transportation) for nothing. Even i had to pay more for dinner as that was my dinner cruise. I strongly advise you not to use this cruise at any cost. You will gonna waste your money and time with this cruise.

Horrible experience
Don’t ever choose this cruise. There was no buffet. Instead the food was distributed crudely by the cruise staffs. The food is tasteless and there is no table to put the food on. We had to put the dishes on our laps to eat. The plastic dishes were not that strong to hold as well. The drinks were served in small plastic cups. There was no discipline on the cruise. People didn’t stand in the queue. Some people stood in front of other people who were sitting on the chairs. They blocked the pathways, made lots of loud noises and refused to move away throughout the whole trip. The whole experience was a disaster. Money was wasted with nothing enjoyable at all.

Very disappointing - don't book with this Company
I agree with all previous comments. We booked this cruise because it was a 2 hour cruise with buffet and 2 drinks which sounded great. The embarking was pretty chaotic. After trying to find someone to talk to we were told that the Afloat boat had broken down and we were upgraded to another boat - Constellation. Which probably meant twice as many people as we were with the passengers who had booked on the Constellation. It was very crowded. We were among the first to get our food and it was cold. There was no choice as it was all just put...
Read more on a plate and handed to you. There was no dessert as stated on voucher. Not sure how you are supposed to eat from a plastic plate with a plastic knife and fork, holding a drink and standing on a moving boat! Why not some finger food if you are not going to supply enough tables and chairs? The lights were pretty but we just did the loop twice and that was it. 15 minute embarkation, 65 minute cruise, 10 minute disembarkation - a 2 hour cruise??? Luckily it was a lovely warm night as I don't know what would have happened if it had rained! I feel sorry if anyone had paid full price as even the $35 Groupon voucher was a bit of a rip off. I think Groupon should not be associated with this Company. Very disappointing and I'm sure didn't leave a very good impression on tourists to our lovely city.- 11 reviews

Worst experience ever!
I bought 2 tickets for a 90-min Vivid cruise that included dinner and drinks. The boat was overcrowded and there were no tables to eat so they could fit more people. Food was disgusting: overcooked pasta with a tiny piece of chicken, 2 potatoes and a slice of bread served on a plastic dish (very handy when there's no table to eat and the boat is moving). No music, horrible view and very loud passengers.
They sold it as a luxury Vivid cruise, but it's nothing like that. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

TOTAL WASTE YOUR MONEY & TIME - (1 star rating is way too high)
MY SCORE: NEGATIVE 1
We attended a prime vivid dinner Saturday night.
Should have grabbed McDonalds & hired a water taxi.
What a rip off, no tables to eat your small questionable food on your but you did get your very own plastic plate with plastic knifes & forks. My wife and I are still debating what the meat was - chicken or pork as it had no flavour.
Advertised as an 2.5hr cruise but we were back & docked a little over 1.25hrs.
The people who run this business should be ashamed although if it wasn't for fools like me who didn't read the reviews prior to booking, they be broke by now.
WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT
The worst
This was the worst. The boat was old, not enough room, the windows inside you could barely see out of and no room to stand outside. The “buffet” food was a small piece of chicken, 3 green beans, par boiled potatoes we couldn’t stick a fork in, and some random pasta. Oh and dessert was a shot glass filled with jam. That’s right, jam.
Super disappointed and I was embarrassed I booked this cruise for a nice night out.
Do not book this cruise.
Fake advertisement
Don't go with afloat cruises. Groupon should also look into this. One of the worst cruises. The food was no great but I can disregard that. However it was said that It was a buffet, everyone only got like a quarter of my dinner portion (even less). $35 cruise, I shouldn't have expected too much of it. My advice. Go somewhere else.

Dinner cruise?
Booked a vivid dinner cruise. Boat was overcrowded and long queues for food. Food was terrible and they ran out. Supposed to get dessert but none available. Cruise docked half an hour earlier than advertised. Total waste of money.
False advertising
Went on a vivid cruise with a buffet including desert - well what a joke they run out of food all we got was a small piece of chicken and a couple of potatoes they ran out of bread roll beans and pasta and hardly any chicken. When I enquired about desert they said they were not serving desert as it took so long to serve dinner they didn't have time to serve desert - makes me wonder if they had ever planned on serving desert as half the staff knew nothing about it when I first enquired .I said that's ok we can eat on the run but flatly refused t...
Read moreo serve desert no apology just a free drink but not everyone drinks !! Lucky we meet some really nice people on the cruise and had a few laughs and the lights were good.I would not recommend this company and will not use them again there is a lot of competition out there and I think they have lost a lot of business from there poor performance.Find out how Afloat Cruises compares to other Cruises

Poor Food Service
Afloat Cruises
My wife and I attended your 9.45pm Queen Mary 2 cruise last night. (Saturday 24 February)
I appreciate the fact that changes were made with the scheduling of the QM2. Something above your control
My first issue of concern was that when boarding, our check on validation was no not even checked.
We were simply given 2 free drink vouchers with the comment “ enjoy”.
In this time of uncertainty, more care should have been taken., ...
Read more Secondly, the PA system onboard your craft was nothing short of woeful, you simply could not hear your cruise director unless you stood within the immediate vicinity of him. Thirdly, the food served – some form of sea food wrapped in a batter stick and the minuscule hamburgers was nothing short of third rate and both were extremely tasteless. A number of passengers I spoke with thought the same. The desert was obviously something brought via Coles or Woolworths and again very ordinary. Considering when the cruise was originally listed we were advised that a smorgasbord meal would be served, I ask did we get value for money on the meals. I think not……( We did pay a considerable price for the cruise) Considering business of your style is very competitive I think there should be a great deal of higher focus toward the customer service and product that is delivered. Forwarded for your information and responseBoat did not show up!!
The boat did not show - left passengers in the lurch -
I give them a zero rating.
When trying to contact company no one answers the phone - Do not book any cruised with them.
Shocking hundreds of people ripped off
Give this company and the company he’s just bought a very wide berth absolutely disgusting he can’t refund people but brags about buying a new company in Sydney
This company was on Facebook promising issues were being dealt with only to do exactly the same thing to people on Australia Day it’s a disgrace this company still has a license to operate it needs investigations into its activities and the way it operates

Australia Day Cruise Disaster
NOT RECOMMENDED - This cruise gets one star because there is nothing lower. Where to start with all the reasons to NOT book a cruise with this company...Person checking people onto the boat was rude and totally unprofessional, despite being told there was a "15 minute window" to board passengers and depart, the cruise left 25 minutes late, the entire top deck was booked out to a private party leaving hundreds of other passengers to crowd onto the lower deck with nowhere near enough seating, the food was completely misrepresented in the advertis...
Read moreement - do not be fooled by the promise of a bbq and delicious desserts- smoking is allowed outdoors on both decks of the boat leaving no escape from the stench, the boat was so overladen with passengers the engines struggled to move the boat and the drinks were heinously expensive ( a plastic cup of coke $4). The man who seemed to be in charge of the boat spent the entire trip upstairs pandering to 3 or 4 passengers, getting their drinks and food while the extremely understaffed boat struggled to cope with the burden of too many passengers. The greatest disappointment was that we booked to spend the day on the Harbour as a family but my husband and son stood in one corner, one daughter found a seat somewhere else and I sat on the ground with my other daughter at the back of the boat. DISGRACEFUL!!- 2 reviews

Absolute Waste of Hard Earned Money
We booked for the Australia Day Dinner Cruise in Sydney and like every other review it started of poorly on the Dock and just went down hill from the time we set foot on the boat. There is absolutely NO professional services offered by this Company, the food was like slops and what was on offer run out half through the dinner service and guests where left with a choice of chic peas or dry pasta for there dinner. I along with most of the other guests have wrote to the company and did not even get a reply, an apology or an offer of a refund for...
Read more cruise from hell. Anyone else considering this company, please do not. I thought it would be really nice to take my husband on there for a nice dinner and cruise around the harbour. I would of been better of getting Macca's and hiring a tiny. What is advertised is not what you get.
Like a previous reviewer we booked the Australia Day Cruise in Sydney. Every point the previous reviewer stated was exactly our experience. Because the boat was late running passengers missed the Ferry Race. There was always a slow moving queue for the food and like us if you wanted to stay on deck so as to not miss the activities on the Harbour you missed out on the food. There was not enough food for all on board and we basically got a few scrapes which were not worth eating. (My knife broke trying to cut the meat). Desert was a small lamming...
Read moreton and a biscuit. These would have been bought from a supermarket. It was not the advertised desert. When I asked the staff why wasn't there enough food the answer was 'people took more than they should have'. What concerned me most was they never checked the names of who was boarding so in the case of an emergence they would not have known who boarded the boat. Not even a head count was taken.Questions & Answers
