AGEST moving to Australian Super – I have been looking at the product statement send by AGEST as on 1 January 2013 it will be taken over by Australian Super. Despite the spin that the fees will be lower the reality appears that the overall cost will be higher because of the 'secondary' fees. My cost comparison is around $10 per month extra for me once Australian Super takes over AGEST.
I am still trying to get my money out of Australian Super and into my new fund, State Super Financial Services. Paperwork completed by me in early December and sent to AGEST. Follow-up with Australian Super basically says 'we will get to it when we are ready'. They had better not try and charge me their fee for withdrawing my money because they have held onto it. Reconfirms my decision to move my funds. Haven't checked the current balance - will now do that too to see if they are having fun with it at my expense..

Good – Eight months ago after being less than satisfied with another super company beginning with the letter A I decided to split my investment so I rolled half over from the earlier fund. I much prefer the AGEST web access particularly as the older fund is plugging Microsoft internet explorer when you login. I complained about this a couple of times but got no response. Both funds are " balanced" and have performed pretty much the same though my older fund earned slightly more over the eight months so far. I intend to move fully to Agest in the near future also because their allocated pension set up as with their other products looks simple and is supported by well structured easily understood documents. These guys are friendly and respond to queries quickly and professionally.

The web site is quick responsive and reliable and intuitive to use. Not easy to drill down to investment results, but then I am an 8 month newby with this company.

I have moved my super funds to State Super Financial Services. I can't comment on their performance yet as it is a tad too early but I am happy to wear the result as it is my decision, whereas moving to Australian Super was not.
