The real shame is that i couldnt give zero stars The robot hasn't worked once since i purcahsed it, they intentionally delayed the repair and feedback and forced me past the 30 days so they didnt have to refund it. - It occassionally floats to "skim" the surface however the issue is that it bobs up and down (video for evidence) and doesnt actually clean. the constant up and down motion sees it push floating debris around the pool for a few hours and not clean anything - It will often get stuck at the skimmer box either in wall mode or sometimes in skimmer mode and then throw an error, every pool has a skimmer box it makes no sense that it cant handle the simplicity of this - It throws constant errors sometimes only a few minutes into a clean (image attached for evidence) - It wont connect to the app after they changed something in the app, so all bluetooth and wifi function no longer works. - They oversold the principal of wifi notification because once its below the pool line, there is no notification, the only notification i seem to get on a regular basis is "error" this one seems to be something it can notify me of. The nofitication system and function of this device has been so poor that i didnt know the robot notified about job completion until i watched a video recently, and i didnt know that because the robot hasnt managed to finisha clean to trigger the "end cleaning notification" - I had the device replaced but then had the same issues, so this is evidence that the robot itself just isnt a good product, its not a one off issue nor a basis manufactoring flaw, its a fundamental failure of the product line. - The battery life is poor, but its also hard to judge, i mean it run for 20 minutes, crashes or runs into an error and then three days later (because i didnt get any notificaitons) i remember it was doing a cleaning cycle and there it is at the bottom fo the pool dead flat.... - There is one good feature that worked everytime, "the dock return" i promise you, every single time it run a clean, it will return to the most annoying, far reaching part of the pool, at the complete opposite end of the pool making it impossible to retrieve without going for a swim. Mine never actually finished a cycle but i assume if it had an error it would "return to dock" or in this case, return to the deepest dark depths of the pool for annoying retrieval.
I think if this company was selling 20 pound paper wieghts in the shape of a pool cleaner, they could clean up quite well (punn intended) but unfortunately the only cleaning this robot has done for me, is clean out my bank account.

I was unsure of this brand of cleaner as a replacement for a 10 year old Dolphin M3. Pool & Spa Warehouse discount, 2 year warranty and after sales service reviews of convinced me to buy this unit. THE GOOD THINGS BOUT THE AIPER N1 ULTRA: * Cleans Quickly - is a rather large unit. Cleans my 35kl pool easily in an hour. * Large debris basket * Suction is great - Climbs walls and stairs with ease * Multiple cleaning modes - Floor/walls/coves/waterline * Automatic, alternate day floor cleaning (set and forget for the week) * Hydrocomm station (I was interested in this as a future upgrade) * Large capacity battery: 3h+ (Best I found at the time of purchase) * No LV cable running along the paving (Concern was with our new dog chewing cables) * Consumables seem to be relatively inexpensive * Spares supplied - microfilters and cleaning roller.
THE BAD THINGS BOUT THE AIPER N1 ULTRA: * Hydrocomm Station - extremely costly. (almost half the cost of the cleaner again) * Cannot Connect to the cleaner when it is in the pool without the Hydrocomm Connector * Basket is cheap/poorly designed - plastic hinges break easily. and Inlet flap springs easily sands up and MUST be washed clear after every clean - otherwise when you lift the cleaner out of the pool, all of the fine debris simply drains back into the pool. * Battery failed within 9 months. (rusted? - bottom contacts indicated this) (BUT great support from PaSWarehouse in replacing the cleaner.) * Quite heavy for removing from the pool. (An issue for kids & wives doing the charging)
MY FUTURE CONCERNS: * How long until the new unit's battery fails..? * How long will the plastic last in the water/sun..? * How many baskets will I need to repair/replace in its lifetime..? * Will I get the dreaded Red Ring of Death / loss if LED as other reviews?
WOULD I BUY AGAIN..? Only if I can achieve 5 years+ from this cleaner and a few design issues are addressed. And what is the use of a battery cleaner if you cannot control the cleaner in the pool without the Hydrocomm station...? (When I bought the N1 Ultra, the Hydrocomm was in its final release stages - I was SHOCKED by the price on its release for something I now consider important for adequate cleaner operation)
Designs change and move on over time, but I would probably look at a corded cleaner again over a battery system - Unless future battery units have better under-water communication *and* "a return to surface" operation and phone reminder to alert you to remove the cleaner for charging.
Whilst I am very happy with the cleaner as it really does a very good job of cleaning (whilst I have it working), the RRP was double that of the 10 year old corded cleaner it replaced, yet really does not offer anything in addition to the basic cleaner. Battery is *not* the way to go in pool cleaners - UNLESS you use it in the Floor only Mode, 3x alternate days. Otherwise, doing a full clean, you must recharge after EVERY use.
I do a full charge & Clean on Saturday and recharge overnight. Then on Sunday I set it to clean, which it does again automatically on Tuesday and Thursday before needing a recharge on Saturday. BUT the old corded LIVED in the pool and simply required a "restart" to run each time I wanted a clean.

Absolute disappointment – This is an absolute disappointment. I feel like been scammed. I purchased the machine from Clark Rubber. They told me, the 30-day money-back guarantee does not apply when you purchase it from a reseller. Here is a list of problems within the first week of use. 1. The basket lid broke off. 2. The basket flap doesn't close. The debris washes out when you pull the machine out of the water. 3. The LED light colours were off and eventually no colour. 4. The machine gets stuck on the pool step. There is only one step.
I asked Clark Rubber for a refund, but they said the 30-day money-back guarantee is not honoured by the Aiper. However Aiper customer service said I must apply for a refund from Clark Rubber. Now I am stuck. I did ask Clark Rubber to send the machine back to Aiper for refund. But Aiper said they will only repair the machine. This is three weeks ago. I still haven't got the machine back yet.
Clark Rubber said they had at least 3 other customers having the same issue.

Works well - Basket needs to be re-designed – We have owned this for a month now, and purchased this because our 10YO Zodiac Corded unit had the dreaded ER10 error. After reading a few reviews, we decided to venture down to Sydney and buy one. The 1st unit worked well and did a fantastic job, given the pool hadn't been cleaned for sometime. We had put it on full charge, initially, and made sure the seal was fully sealed. We put it on again, and it stopped after an hour or so. I retrieved it, and emptied it put it on charge. The lights did not come on. After a few days of reading the trouble shoot guides, and contacting Aiper, we returned the unit back to the retailler, who were more than helpful, and were happy to exchange/refund etc. So, we had a brand new replacement unit, and arrived home, charged fully, and started cleaning. Once finished, I took the basket to the green bin, and lighty tapped it against the bin. The hinge broke straight away. I contacted Aiper, who said that it shouldn't be tapped etc, however, I feel that I was quite gentle with it. Aiper offered to replace the whole unit, but I feel this to be a complete waste of resources, and all I wanted was to have a basket sent out. In the end, I will be exchanging this with the retailler, whilst they still have our original unit.
