thought I was going mad!! How this machine ever reached the shop floor I don't know but it is absolutely hopeless. Get this piece of rubbish out of here.

Worst new washing machine ever – timer has a mind of its own, but mainly it thinks its a pneumatic drill. The house feels exposed to collapse under spin vibration and defeating noise. I will seek an exchange.

Do not purchase – Randomly works. Sometimes take 45 minutes to do a 1 hour 20 minute cycle, and sometimes 4 hours. Sometimes won't even go, or picks up on a previously unfinished cycle (it gets jammed and grinds over and over and I give up and stop it. This means I can't leave the house when using). does the same on very small loads. The spin function on 1200 clearly doesn't work - my last LG machine spun at this speed and the clothes were practically dry when you got them out. Also I was prompted by price at the time of purchase, but have learnt my lesson. I have finally found the patience to complain and it took me three calls to be able to clearly lodge my issue. I have a technician coming tomorrow to 'fix'.

Machine malfuntioned – Machine coming up with multiple error codes, on checking it says something to do with water supply issue. The manufacturer isnt much if any help, call centre who barely understand english. I gave them the product details yet they either dont understand or are trying push your buttons. Horrible- you get what you pay for – After our 10 year old washing machine finally gave up, we opted for this model from AppliancesOnline. It had no reviews but was very cheap on sale for $399 delivered. It looks very similar to the Kogan front load machines, so most likely same factory?? left clothing with stains and dirt. We also found that clothing came out quite wet as it didn't spin fast enough. But it got worse from there... The machine in its second week died after making a horrible grinding sound. We contacted Akai for assistance and they tried to suggest user error and offered a technician to attend at our cost, despite only being two weeks old. Additionally we were going to have to wait 3 weeks as they had no-one available for our area (within 30 mins of Sydney CBD!!!)?? We have since purchased a different machine and going to get AppliancesOnline to pickup this junk.
