Best budget phone you can buy – For about $30 you can get a phone running Android 6.0, a front camera, do not disturb feature and a flashlight. The screen size is 4 inches, but feels bigger and not frustrating when typing. I rate this phone 5 stars! Show details

Good phone for those on a tight budget – I've had 3 of these phones. They were all locked to the Optus network and I got them because they were cheap ($59) and basic. For someone who is phone illiterate like myself, this phone served me well. The only downside is they don't have much room on them and was always being told I didn't have enough space to do simple things like take photos,… Read more

but the phone wouldn't let me delete apps I didn't use that came with the phone. The only reason I'm not using this phone anymore is because I was given a Samsung Galaxy.

Cheapo Phone 3G Optus X Lite (Pixie 4 rebadged) – My 4G ZTE ZIP battery failed in a swollen lump after 12 months so I bought this one from a supermarket for $59 rather too quickly. That price is not such a bargain really. Yes, it works ok, but as others said the memory is all swallowed by the phone from scratch, so you need a micro SD. My main beef is that it doesn't connect successfully… Read more

with my Ford Car's SYNC 3. Connects, then immediately disconnects, over and over and over forever. Older SYNC 2 works ok in a Van, but that is no good for my 2016 Ford sedan car fitted with SYNC 3 version Bluetooth. Not just me, but for all SYNC 3 cars in a Ford Dealership and Google confirms it too can't pair with this phone. My ZTE ZIP had no such trouble pairing.

A downloaded app, Android Auto won't co exist with SYNC3 either, I tried that one too to no avail. So it's a USB cable tether from the phone to the car or nothing.

Be careful installing apps, as it is too easy to get the basic phone app launcher taken over by "Joy Launcher" which gets installed by the phone maker (their choice)on updates and fills up the lock screen with ad's and other garbage. Google it and see how many people hate Joy Launcher and can't remove it. This launcher want's access to everything on your phone and you won't even know you have it till it appears from nowhere. I got it removed eventually after many hours on the web for guidance.

Other than that it just another Android phone, but is nothing special really.

I would not buy one for more than $30, the price of the replacement battery probably.

spend the extra money and get something better – purchased this phone for $125 and i paid too much. the adware and bloatware make it unusable until you spend half an hour tinkering and uninstalling and disabling features out of the box the good: hmm not too expensive the bad: vague and unresponsive touchscreen when talking your ear is making the touchsceen select and open apps etc.… Read more

(including putting it in airplane mode and hanging up on whomever you are talking to)

adware. i spent a lot of time disabling apps to stop these popups. including google play services

slow

Low res screen - hard to type.

that one touch boost app is hard coded and is just an annoying ad.

Great phone for the price – We just wanted a cheap phone as a spare to leave in the car for emergencies. This phone is great for that, it is small, reliable and easy to use. Battery last well in standby mode. We picked one up from Harvey Norman on sale and have seen them on sale at other places too. So if you want a cheap spare phone get this android phone.  Show details

Good and cheap – The Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4 is a good phone for it takes a standard sim card and has most of the features of an expensive mobile smartphone. The charge time is about 3 hours and usually last 3 days or more provided the usage is low. Turning on Bluetooth and Wifi will effect the phones battery life. The phone is cheap and for the money you will not be able to get a better phone.  Show details

Cheap and cheerful – I picked this phone up for $40, yes it is slow, but for my purposes it works fine. The screen is quite bright and battery life is OK in stand by mode. The weight and size factor are excellent and offers convenience of portability. For a second phone or a phone for your child, this is a great option.  Show details

Get what you pay for! – This phone is good for $50.00. It is slow (unresponsive). Not enough memory (apps have filled the memory). But can make calls and text - which is all I need. I have added a 32 gig uSD card, but you can't move apps to the SD card. grrrr. Battery life is pretty good - I get about 5 days between charges, but don't use the phone too much anyway.  Show details
