Realme 6 Love it – Just purchased this phone from Mobilciti, to replace my Moto G8 plus which was slow and glitchy. So far, only 24hrs, and I'm very impressed with this Realme6. clear version which does exist so no excuse for realme using tinted ones with these smart coloured phones.
Totally ruins what the phone looks like, just looks all gray, see the image to see what it does to a white piece of paper, imagine that on what is supposed to be like a bright mother of pearl type effect?
I phoned support and they are aware of the issue but all I got was that is what the phones come with. I hate the look of the phone like it is with the supplied case. So I will have to pay more money for an aftermarket perfectly clear one that is available via many ebay traders. Maybe realme can buy their cases from them?

mid-range phone, I would highly recommend it. I appreciate the Samsung S9 is maybe two years behind in technology but the Realme 6 is in most regards better. I do to some extent miss the Samsung apps such as photo editor but the Photoshop (free) app is close to the same.
Why I didn’t give the phone full marks was, 1. The phone comes with no basic manual or start-up guide which could confuse the non-technical. 2. There is no on-line manual nor any information provided in the box. 3. The most worrying point! On the third week the phone had a software update (not Android) which was 440MB. It updated without any problems but when powered on the next day the phone was non-operational! It booted as if it had been factory reset, after selecting English it asked for the restore location (showing the Android file structure only). Nothing worked, no way could it be powered off. I literally spent 20 minutes pressing every combination of buttons plus connecting the charger, finally concluding that I should let it fully discharge & try from there. Later again after many button presses it finally asked to connect to Wi-Fi but then failed. Finally, it showed another menu that allowed for a restart & thankfully when restarted all was back & no data was lost.
I should add that I have decades of technical knowledge & I fully understand these devices. My point being that those less competent could find some things daunting! The above failure would for others mean a return to the manufacturer!
CONCLUSION: A great phone considering the RRP, but not a perfect phone, let down by the lack of any documentation & a major malfunction (for me)! I would though still recommend buying this excellent phone. Like any phone you need to spend time to set the apps you want, & remove those you don’t want. Many never realize the potential of smartphones.
July 15th 2020 Update: A follow up with images. This is truly bang for bucks & is in fact faster than my Samsung S9 & it retails for well under half the price. The camera is absolutely fantastic in that it has four lenses, so rather than zoom which invariably results in poor images with little detail. The Realme 6 allows you to change between these four lenses. I have attached examples which were taken from exactly the same spot using each lens. Impressive to say the least. The phone camera also has many other options such as panorama, night, video, portrait, ultra macro, time lapse, slo-mo, plus expert mode.

driving between towns, etc all done from my phone, I am not into spending too much on a phone as long as it does the job with no issues.
-Build quality is okay, plastic back but nice finish and looks and feels good. -Performance is very good, i jump between apps and no noticeable lag, even good for few high end games at low settings, 8Gb ram and 128Gb Rom is very nice to have. -90Hz Screen is definitely the best feature of this phone, all i can say is it is excellent, I run mine at 60Hz to conserve battery and even at 60Hz this is a excellent screen. -UI, I am a pure Android fan, came with Realme UI which is Oppo's UI, some bloat wear which most i was able to uninstall, the few left are not a issue, the UI is quite nice. Transfer from old phone to this was with Oppo's cone app was seamless and hassle free. -Main Camera is good, okay but not as good as my wife's Samsung s20FE or my sons IPhone 11/Samsung S21, but takes nice day time photos, Colours are okay, I often photograph my work for my website and it takes good enough photos for my portfolio, low light/night photos is not great but usable. The flash is just okay, the selfie camera is okay when compared to my families selfies cameras. I don't really use the other camreas. -Battery is where I got a surprise, 4300mHa seem small but on light to medium use it gets through the day, on my heavy use days I put it on my van charger for just 15-20 minutes when i am driving between towns makes sure I get through the day. Having fast charge is great, 1 hour to charge from 5% to fully charged, the battery life is allot better than I expected, it is very good. -Dual Sim, I have my private number and business number, this phone handles dual sim mode no issues and what is really nice is having a third spot for extra memory which i have put a 128Gb memory card in,this is a great feature. -Speaker, only Mono but its a very good speaker, lacks some bass but even at full volume does not sound tinny or breaks up, loudness is very good, For a Mono speaker it is very good. -Finger print reader is really good and quick and facial recognition unlock is really good too. -Phone Reception is on par with my kids phone including WiFi and Blu Tooth.

This this phone for what it offering for $299 this phone is a steal, comes with a fast charger and case in box, accessories for this phone on EBay are cheap and plentiful, I have a good water tight Armour Case $13.99 and Tough Glass Screen Protectors $10.95 which helps with water protection, I work with allot of water so this important to me and also less bulky clear shockproof bumper case $6.99.

big difference to my iPhone 6s plus, which I had to charge more than once each day, realme 6 only needs a charge every one-two days, and charges soooo insanely quickly! There are some things that I have noticed which may be problems for some people: - functions such as navigating between apps can occasionally be slow or somewhat glitchy. - the colouring of the screen caused me to look weirdly pink in camera, but when I sent it to someone it looked pretty normal on their screen. You can change the colour correction settings to look a bit less pink. - sometimes in scrolling websites or horizontal apps like games or YouTube there is a thin line appearing at the top of the screen but it doesn't cover anything, just slightly annoying. Overall I'm super happy with it for what I paid.

get lag outs and screen freezes. not often, but with this level of processor it shouldnt happen at all. The data log indicates that the device is using more processor in monitoring what your doing then it is in actually doing it lol 2) there is no auto adjustment on screen size for some games or applications, ie. X buttons can disappear from the screen even when the rest of the game is within the screen borders. 3) cannot turn off proximity sensor/overly sensitive proximity sensor. This impacts a lot when your in Discord music chats or games with in game voice. Basically, if you need to touch the screen anywhere at all in the top or right side your going to get the black screen. While some say to plug in a headset, i have no desire when im alone at home to put buds in my ears... i cant hear my background playlist. So this is again a area where they have fallen down in the market they aimed this phone at (gamers and app users). Most phones now a days you can turn this feature off, but that has not been made available yet to RealMe 6.
CONCLUSION: its a functional phone for the mid range cost, but your getting what you pay for. Ignore the hype, its just a normal basic smartphone without any extra benefits to any of the other current mid teir smart phones.

Great value phone – No complaints with the realme6. Cost 1/2 the price of my work phone, Samsung Galaxy A51, and is better in all aspects. Delivery took almost 2 weeks, but other than that I am happy .
Fine except for – Great phone. Only one fault so far. Cannot put a quick link to favourite webpages onto home page (as you can on samsung devices). Aside from that, great value for money :-)
Amazing – You get more than what you pay for. It's an absolute bargain, not a single thing about it I dislike. It's fast, relatively powerful, great camera system, good for gaming.

Haven’t received phone – Ordered august still haven’t received it. Not satisfied at all. I’ve contacted realme over and over again, as well as Auspost. No one knows where my phone is and neither have any communication.
rubbish – absolute rubbish, terrible version of android, zero support, stay away, cannot use google pay, cannot use google photos the list goes on. Ask for help and get no reply, would not recommend

Very poor delivery service – I have brought one on 30th August 2021. I have not got the item yet. They took three days to ship the phone to the Australian post. Initially, they said they dispatch the product within 24-48 hours; they did not do it in my case. I did not find any other places to write about this matter, so I have written here. Before buying their products, please keep in mind that they are not friendly to deliver the product timely.

been able to fix this now but the help didn't come from Realme. Recently the Recorder app stopped working. It's telling me to turn the permissions on. There doesn't seem to be any way to turn the permissions on. I sent an email to Realme about it and got a reply but their instructions didn't help. I've fixed it now by downloading another recorder app. The Realme is good value though I've had frustrations with it. The support is pretty underdone.

using a case, very reliable battery life and quick charge goes hand in hand when I have long shifts at work where I'm required to use my phone , I use realme for gaming and it's superb in that aspect great refresh rate and handles games well, but as I'm writing this review after 2 years of owning the phone It has recently begun to leave screen burn , so if I'm on the screen for some time then get of the app that I'm on I can see in the background slight screen burn from what I was doing , other than that I am fairly happy with my product , just wish my next realme phone has better camera quality

hold unless you fit the supplied soft silicone rubber cover. I couldn't find a way to put the speed dial feature onto the home screen so I downloaded a free speed dial app...now perfect. I'm very happy with the realme 6 and would definitely buy another when I next need a new phone. EDIT:. It's now just over a year since I bought this phone. My opinions haven't change much from the initial review. The camera is still ho hum but this is outweighed by the superior performance and great battery life of the realme. I've dropped my phone a few times and nothing seems to bother it. It continues on with no issues. Summing up, if you really need a great camera, then splash out 1500 bucks on an iPhone. But if the camera isn't important, save yourself a heap of money and buy the realme 6. Yeah.....shame about that name !
Great phone but a new charging port – Great phone and am very happy with all RealMe products, we have 3 phones now. However, they've pulled the usual swifty and now changed the charger, so now we have 2 x phones on the standard USB, and this new "6" has a new stupid charger. I hate the waste !!

Easy to Use – The way this phone is designed is really good. It upgraded to Android 11 and did another updated as well (including Security). I bought it at a special lower price. I can't believe in the species what I got for the price. As Im on an aged pension its all I could afford & i dont believe i would have been more happy if I was able to buy a top of the range phone for seven times the money.
Good performance, better battery backup – Realme 6 outperforms itself with its excellent camera, battery backup and is pretty quick in performance. The interface is pretty similar and easy to use. Gets the silicon case along and is coming with screen guard.
Excellent phone and awesome value, highly recommend – I researched a lot of phones before going ahead and purchasing this one, and part of my research were the reviews from this site. These recommendations made my mind up and I am so glad I went ahead with the purchase. Not only does the phone have excellent picture quality, storage, battery and battery charging capability, and processing speed, but the phone came with a screen protector and cover! Such great value. Very happy with my purchase.

I'm really impressed with this phone! – Fast interface and app response time. The call quality is excellent. It takes good photos with adequate detail. I doubt if any other phone would have more features at this price point.
Good all-round phone – Great screen, looks stylish and good battery life. Can play games on it for prolonged periods without over-draining the battery and it doesn't get particularly hot either. Would recommend buying!
Realme 6 – UI is excellent, Mediatek SoC is awesome and power efficient, good battery also, hardware is solid. The only thing is night mode function of camera is not good. I have been using relame 6 for work and Oppo Find X2 pro for private at the moment. If the night mode of relame 6 camera function is at least as great as Oppo Reno Z, I would have used relame 6 for private. Is it possible to improve night mode function by UI or software update ?

Problem with software. Hardware is good – The phone app in the smartphone contain bugs. When I deduct a call the caller screen notification doesn't go from the notification bar. Sometimes when disconnecting, the screen in the app freezes and doesn't disconnect. with the second call, the first call start to show on hold but in reality it was disconnected an hour before. So, after few weeks now I ended by installing Google phone app to get rid of this. Another problem is the camera configuration, even in WhatsApp video call the video is too much of artificial, meaning it lacks the natural video appearance.
Everything else is great. No other problem until now. Fast charging is good couple of minute of charge is enough for my day.

Bigger brand quality for a better price – I needed a budget phone and was using a Samsung A21s for a year after cracking my Galaxy 8 and got so sick of it that I gave realme a chance and I honestly love it.
