Great phone for the price!
Awesome phone for the price!
Phone arrived very quickly and the exterior is beautiful, just as shiny as I expected from the picture. The best features are:
- the side fingerprint detector, which is incredibly fast, although it is often triggered accidentally.
- the 90hz display, very smooth most of the time.
- the battery and charger! Such a big difference to my iPhone 6s plus, which I had to charge more than once each day, realme 6 only needs a charge every one-two days, and charges soooo insanely quickly!
There are some things that I hav...

Brilliant for a mid range product - however....
One of the best mid range phones I have come across for the price. Paid around AUD$419 from JB Hi-Fi online. Performance is amazing as is the build quality.
The one problem with the phone I had was the ability to sync and stay paired to my bluetooth hearing aids (Unitron). It would work the first time then subsequent events it would drop out and get very flakey. Got another phone from JB store without any problems (the people at JB Hi-Fi are awesome.) Second Realme 6 had the same issues.
Contacted Realme Support online and lodged a compl...

Not as good as they say, some issues limit function, but reliable basic phone
Obtained this phone because of the game processor and the specs originally offered regarding the functionality, speed, durability and graphics. Its a reasonable phone for its price, but has not lived up to the hype at all and the inability to disable the proximity sensor has become super annoying.
1) playing high end graphic Mobile games you get lag outs and screen freezes. not often, but with this level of processor it shouldnt happen at all. The data log indicates that the device is using more processor in monitoring what your doing then...it is in actually doing it lol 2) there is no auto adjustment on screen size for some games or applications, ie. X buttons can disappear from the screen even when the rest of the game is within the screen borders. 3) cannot turn off proximity sensor/overly sensitive proximity sensor. This impacts a lot when your in Discord music chats or games with in game voice. Basically, if you need to touch the screen anywhere at all in the top or right side your going to get the black screen. While some say to plug in a headset, i have no desire when im alone at home to put buds in my ears... i cant hear my background playlist. So this is again a area where they have fallen down in the market they aimed this phone at (gamers and app users). Most phones now a days you can turn this feature off, but that has not been made available yet to RealMe 6. CONCLUSION: its a functional phone for the mid range cost, but your getting what you pay for. Ignore the hype, its just a normal basic smartphone without any extra benefits to any of the other current mid teir smart phones.

- Verified purchase
Bought this for my resident 15 year old a few months back. No complaints at all (after months of challenges with her previous phone). Time to buy a new phone for my 17 year old and I didn't bother doing much research... just found the best price (from realme via Amazon) and ordered another.
Performance is great, battery life is great, charging time is great, RAM and storage is great (and expandable via microSD). Included cover is acceptable (and there are more case options available locally now).

Would not buy
So I have 4 alarms set for my work week as any normal person would.
On my day off I turn the phone off so I don't get calls or hear the alarms. That stupid phone turns itself on 4 times and sets off the alarm.

An awesome phone!!! Best on the market!!!
Where do I start. A huge screen to begin with! The screen on the RealMe 6 is about 2.5cms higher than my wife's iPhone 8Plus even though the overall phone is a similar size. This is great as I need to bring up detailed plans on a mobile phone while I am at work.
If you get frustrated by lagging phones, internet or apps - like me - you will love this phone. It is the fastest piece of technology I have used in many years. With the RealMe 6, you hit a button or touch the screen and you get a response, just like all technology should function...! The RealMe6 is incredibly easy to use and navigate while being packed with useful features. It was unbelievably easy to get started and setup as compared to all other phones I have used. Importantly, I have never used an Android phone before but it was incredibly easy to get started with this Android. The battery life is incredibly long and believe it or not takes only about 30 minutes to full charge from a flat battery. The battery lasts way longer than the latest iPhone or Samsung I have asked about and only takes about 30 minutes to charge. You can full charge while taking smoko or full charge in half a lunch break. You can full charge quicker than you can make and enjoy a cup of coffee. I have read on-line that it takes up to an hour to charge but I can guarantee you that it only takes about 30 minutes (at least in Australia). The screen provides amazing images and the speakers are very loud - am I in a cinema - no that is just my RealMe6.

The Realme 6 packs a punch for it's price point
The design is smooth, sleek, easy to use with a generous display screen and features quad-lens camera. The Realme 6 has an all-day battery life, extremely fast battery charging, loud speaker with exceptional call quality. The featured dual sim with microSD is great if you would rather save on your phone than upload on iCloud space, which I honestly prefer.
The auto-focus on the camera can be inconsistent at time and the overall camera system a little underwhelming. However, the main lens itself is impressive, producing some honourable results....
An incredible phone considering the price!
The Realme 6 is a very impressive phone but with a few potential hitches. I use a Samsung S9 as my primary phone & in comparison the Realme 6 is faster, quicker to power up, slicker in operation, a very impressive battery life & screen & a perfect size. The four cameras are remarkable & the image quality great but not perfect on high zoom. For a mid-range phone, I would highly recommend it. I appreciate the Samsung S9 is maybe two years behind in technology but the Realme 6 is in most regards better. I do to some extent miss the Samsung apps su...ch as photo editor but the Photoshop (free) app is close to the same. Why I didn’t give the phone full marks was, 1. The phone comes with no basic manual or start-up guide which could confuse the non-technical. 2. There is no on-line manual nor any information provided in the box. 3. The most worrying point! On the third week the phone had a software update (not Android) which was 440MB. It updated without any problems but when powered on the next day the phone was non-operational! It booted as if it had been factory reset, after selecting English it asked for the restore location (showing the Android file structure only). Nothing worked, no way could it be powered off. I literally spent 20 minutes pressing every combination of buttons plus connecting the charger, finally concluding that I should let it fully discharge & try from there. Later again after many button presses it finally asked to connect to Wi-Fi but then failed. Finally, it showed another menu that allowed for a restart & thankfully when restarted all was back & no data was lost. I should add that I have decades of technical knowledge & I fully understand these devices. My point being that those less competent could find some things daunting! The above failure would for others mean a return to the manufacturer! CONCLUSION: A great phone considering the RRP, but not a perfect phone, let down by the lack of any documentation & a major malfunction (for me)! I would though still recommend buying this excellent phone. Like any phone you need to spend time to set the apps you want, & remove those you don’t want. Many never realize the potential of smartphones. July 15th 2020 Update: A follow up with images. This is truly bang for bucks & is in fact faster than my Samsung S9 & it retails for well under half the price. The camera is absolutely fantastic in that it has four lenses, so rather than zoom which invariably results in poor images with little detail. The Realme 6 allows you to change between these four lenses. I have attached examples which were taken from exactly the same spot using each lens. Impressive to say the least. The phone camera also has many other options such as panorama, night, video, portrait, ultra macro, time lapse, slo-mo, plus expert mode.

Questions & Answers
From my experience , fingerprint sensor on power button is very unpractical, how to keep phone locked and hold phone in left hand it's a mess,my second phone is Oppo R15 fingerprint sensor is on the back and never activated accidentally like realme 6.
Liked the specs of this phone however after reading one of the reviews above about ,one customer having issues ,and being very competent was able to fix it , however the AVG person would need to send back to factory ! That is not good most people prefer a device to work simply with little issues , i.e hit reset and it resets without having to find menus to also just get the phone to work again ,I'm looking for 2 mid range phones for around this entry point but they must be bug free and a manual for help if required.
