Safety Latch is an accident waiting to happen – When lifting the air fyer the safety latch disengaged causing the contents to spill. Very dangerous.. There should be a recall before there is a class action.. My elderly parents have had the same experience.. Aldi do something !! Show details
Aldis 8 1/2 litre air fryer – The tray in the air fryer from Aldi’s Toukley is not cooking the food anything like the Phillips air fryers. The phone number in the back is were you ring for any warranty problems. And they are the rudest people on earth Linnet is abrupt and the so called manager hung up in my ear how rude especially when talking very pleasantly to her she hungs… Read more
up the phone. Don’t deal with the warranty phone number on the back of there air fryers as they are useless and rude so I’m taking this matter to fair trade. There was a part missing on the tray a rubber lug was not there & the tray is completely bent inside the fryer.
$59 AU is not expensive – $59 AU is not expensive. I live alone and this has made cooking for one a lot more interesting with roast dinners not involving so much waste or time. Heating sausages and cooking pork and vegetables is easier while making sure excess fats are drained to the bottom of the dish while cooking. A lot more to discover Im sure. Show details
This is amazing – We were looking for Aldi AirFryer since last year and finally got our hands on Aldi Air fryer this year in May.I must say it is the most amazing investment as our air fryer is doing perfect job. Design is not complicated, instructions are super easy and most importantly it is very easy to clean. It cook all frozen items perfectly and in just 10… Read more
-15 minutes. I tried marinated chicken and fish medium pieces too and it turned out very good and ready to eat in just half hour. Did not get the time to cook full chicken as a whole but i am sure it will do good job.Really loving my air fryer and I can’t live without it. Thanks Aldi.
The safety latch on our air fryer was faulty causing burns – Our air fryer bought from aldi was working well until we took out some chips one night and boom chips everywhere. safety latch is faulty beware it releases suddenly and will catch you unaware Show details
Started well blew up after 6 months – Bought in May 2020. The 8l perfect for a family 4. Was cooking well and then started making a heavy rattling sound, my electrician said fan and motor had gone. The basket that holds food all the non stick coating peeled off within 6 months. Show details
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! – Had it since may, worked fine for a few months and now its starting to blow up by the sounds of it... wouldnt recommend ans wouldnt buy electronics from Aldi again! Show details
Exceptional – Cooks the best chicken I've ever had in 30-35 mins.Crispy skin ans succulent meat. Great for pork ribs as well. We line the basket with aluminium foil so then very easy to clean. Handle is a little loose Show details
The purchase I never regret making – This is my first airfyer and to be honest, I wasn't quite sure if it would serve me well or it would be just another following-the-hype purchase. My friend just grabbed it and put it in my trolley while I stood there n Aldi weighing whether to buy it or not. While I was thinking, the rest of the air fryers were gone in a split second! Dint know it… Read more
was a much sought after item during Saturday Special Buy. Was just there to get cheap avo on sale. I would have regret big time if I decided not to buy it. I've stopped frying anything because this gives me the exact crunch and crisp a deep-fry would give. Even non-fat items like Coles springroll turn out crispy. Roasted a whole chicken in and oh boy, the skin was perfectly brown (you need to adjust the temp slightly lower because it will be near the coil), and the meat was just so juicy! i've in fact stopped using my oven cos I think this airfryer is more efficient in terms of timing and heat distribution. Cleaning-wise, if you have deep large sink, it will be nice. Mine is a small one so it is a bit of a challenge. We usually just wash it in the laundry sink. The trick that I use is to to always put baking sheet whenever I use it to minimize cleaning. The food still turn out perfect everytime.
Aldi 8ltr Air Fryer – Bought in May 2020 and after a couple of uses and careful cleaning the non stick coating in the basket is coming off. Not happy with this product as didn't last long. Show details
Best $99 spent – Purchased this apart of the special buys in May. I was always sceptical about buying one but it is definitely worth it! Cooks with the same quality and taste as it would in the oven but in half the time. Great for snack food and roasts and great that it doesn't require much oil if you choose to use it Show details
Big capacity and good price – I got this product when it went on sale a few months back. I have always wanted a big air fryer since we have a big family to feed. This product suits our family perfectly. This is the first time I used an air fryer and it was quick, convenient and healthy since I hardly used oil. I am happy with this product overall! Find out how ALDI 8L Digital Air Fryer (May 2019-2021) compares to other Air Fryers
Know better, choose better.
Terrible – Worked great for the first 2 uses! Had people over and decided to do some chips in it and of course the fan doesnt work and cook anything. Making the thing useless! Show details
Functionality VS hyped Marketing, budget fryer wins – have been waiting for the past 3 years to buy an airfryer. our friends recommended the philips air fryer. i just couldnt justify the price tag, for what is in fact a portable convection oven which it really is. What did push me into getting this was the price tag, plus having recently installed solar at home, this would be the perfect load dump… Read more

overall, quite happy with the product, great that ALDI went with an 8 L minimum sizing on this air fryer, anything smaller just wouldnt make sense in a 5 person house hold. Optimum frying, i did have to interrupt the process, to just toss the meat about, but i was surprised at how awesome the chicken fries ended up..
overall no regrets, Great price, Great value for money , a fraction of the cost of the big names in this space. and i get a 1 year warranty, Thanks ALDI for making this available to Aussie families, great work
i read a previous review about a fragile Handle, i do agree that , the handle could be a bit more sturdier, i do support the tray, when i remove it, just to ensure that the whole body has enough support and so that there aint too much strain on the handle mechanism, i am sure if the handle did break, ALDI would provide a refund, and then i would be without an Air fryer, which aint optimum.
perhaps being a bit more careful will give it the longevity that is expected on the hardware.
i just cant get over the space available, really awesome.
Not Suitable – We bought this item about 13 months ago......this week the handle broke in half and my wife had to wrap oodles of sellotape to keep it in place. Next week we will buying a better suitable air fryer.
Aldi air fryer – The Aldi air fryer is amazing. It cooks the best fish and chips. And no oil. I would recommend this air fryer for a family. Chips cook so crunchy. Very with my purchase Show details
Don't bother – I had previously purchased a Phillips XL airfryer and loved it, but I found it a little small. I bought TWO Aldi airfryers on the same day and BOTH failed at their first use. I returned both, had one refunded and one replaced. The replaced one is very temperamental and doesn't like to cook a whole chook for 30 minutes. Opening the drawer causes… Read more
the overheat thermostat to kick in and shut down the fryer. Then it sulks for 15 minutes until it cools enough for the thermostat to restart. After only 2 months of careful use the coating on the bottom of the fryer basket is more than 50% worn away. I am coping with this by placing silicone baking paper on the bottom of the basket. I hope I haven't eaten the coating which has gone missing. I have bitten the bullet and bought the Phillips XXL to compliment my original Phillips XL, and I cant think why I didn't just buy the better quality Phillips XXL to start with, there is NO COMPARISON in terms of quality, evenness of heat and ease of cleaning of the Phillips compared to the cheaper copy versions.
What an absolute treasure – Best invention ever, lucky I brought this off recommendation from in-laws, (super jelly that ours was an 8L) new house has no oben still waiting, but this bad boy is amazing, so quick and perfect evertime, only problem is I can't choose what's for dinner every night :) oh did I mention you can cook a WHOLE pizza in it PERFECTLY. For 99 bucks, I really hope it lasts!! Show details
